    Tibor's Tile & Marble Inc
I hired Tibor Tile in 2014 and 2015 to install a kitchen backsplash and to rebuild a shower in a hall bathroom. Both previous projects were very satisfactory and I left a review of a grade A. Tibors employee Santos implemented work for the two previous projects. I used Tibor in January 2018 for a complete master bathroom remodel (tile around tub, tile shower and floor). My issue is with Tibors subcontractor Neto. I was told that the project would take 1 week, however, it took 3 men 3 weeks to deliver the poor quality work displayed in the pics attached to this review. Theyd come one day to work and I wouldnt see them for another two days. They did not work Saturdays at all. I arranged to work from home for one week only to have my time wasted. The tile saw they used needed replacing and wasted about 20% of my materials due to uneven cuts, jagged tile edges, etc. See pics for examples. They didnt ask for my desired shower tile design until materials were purchased and tiling started. They should have discussed the design upfront to recommend the type of tile, color and type of grout that would work best for my design. Tibor had no control over the subcontractor and his workers. The subcontractor wouldnt allow Tibor to interject in the project with suggestions. Tibor didnt control when and how they worked. They didnt have a saw that could cut the glass border that I purchased and ended up using a hand tool to chip away at the glass pieces, which looked amateurish. I had to purchase additional tile 3 times due to the excess amount of waste. The floor tile is not level. I feel the uneven, raw edges of the tile against my feet when I walk across the floor. The shower niche is not symmetrical on all sides. I incurred damage to the wall, door trims and baseboards. The floor tile in the water room is installed at a slant. Ive decided to hire another contractor to demo and reinstall some of the sections of the shower tile.

    Impact Countertops LLC
We used Impact Countertops for a mini reno in our kitchen around the Christmas break. Daniella, Murilo and Esther were great to work with. We went in and purchased one slab and when we went back to confirm, we saw another slab that we liked better. Murilo gave a fair price and let us switch. The install went well and our countertops look amazing. Thank you Impact Countertops!

    Tibor's Tile & Marble Inc
Excellent. They finished all the work in two days, with the exception of needing to return to add two pieces of trim because they arrived broken from the distributor. They didn't try to charge anything extra for having to come back to the house an additional time to handle that. Tibor had one of his work crews doing the work but came out himself to look it over and make sure that we were satisfied. They don't handle buying the materials, which would be my only (mild) complaint but everything else was smooth going. (Cost provided is labor only.)

    The Better Tradesman
I hired Charles Carroll on June 3rd, 2016.   I paid him in full to complete the work while I was out of town.  He said the job, including my deck would take two weeks.   I was gone for three weeks and came back to hardly anything finished.  It is now September 14 and I still have two unusable bathrooms.

Its so frustrating.  I trusted him and really liked him at first.  Don't fall for it.  He is in poor health and has a terrible work ethic.   I have asked him for  my money back and he says he doesn't have it.  Of course he doesn't

    2HIREaHandyman
The provider was professional & punctual.  When he arrived and I explained what was needed, he realized that he would need another person since the job would require some electrical work.   He explained to me that this type of work was beyond the scope of what could be done under the 8 hours of "handyman service" that I had purchased and I would need to pay extra for the additional work.  Since they were already onsite, decided to pay for the additional service (~$200).
They did an OK job.  They were not as thorough as I would of like.  For example, the mirrors that they hung in the master bathroom were not levered.  One was slightly higher than the other.
The kitchen faucet become very loose a couple of months after it was installed. I called them and they were quick to send someone back to fix the problem, but had the same issue a couple of months later.  I had my dad looked at it when he visit, and he was able to diagnose the problem.  Apparently, the provider didn't read the instructions and followed the wrong procedure when installing the faucet.  They weren't suppose to use a particular part when installing the faucet on counter tops greater than 3 inches and they did causing this issue.
Overall - I thought they had good customer service.  They were prompt & professional, but I wasn't enchanted with the knowledge of their professionals and wouldn't use them in the future.

    The Tile Specialist
Sammy knows his stuff and takes care to do things right. There were a couple of fit and finish issues but he fixed them without hesitation. If there is something wrong he will make it right. Reasonably priced, honest, and skilled contractors are hard to find. Sammy is all three.

    MR GROUT
We asked Mr Grout to do grout and caulk work around the shower base (inside and right outside the shower), and along the backsplash of our kitchen sink.
There was a lot of miscommunication - while it was hard to tell what was intentional and what was unintentional, the charge seemed high. But we didn't know what was realistic, and yes, we should have gotten competitive bids ---- but we are preparing the house for sale and time was limited.
The work he did in the shower appeared hurried - and since I was out of the house, my wife had to keep reminding him what the job involved. She said he seemed to want to hurry and get done and she had to say this thing and that thing to get him to complete the job satisfactorily -- it was $150 for some pretty simple grout work. And it still didn't look super-professional for that fee.
The kitchen sink work looked better -- but he talked her into doing more than we originally agreed to, which was frustrating.
Overall, it seemed like a pressured, hurried, and mixed-communication situation.
We would not have him back, and would not recommend this individual.
PLUS - his truck leaked oil on the driveway we had just had pressure-washed - adding insult to injury....

    Dadeirok Builders
Dadeirok Builders contracted with my husband and me to
complete a sizeable renovation of our master bathroom and kitchen. Against our
better judgment we agreed to the 50% deposit that only included labor. The
project included the removal of a load bearing wall, expansion of the master
bathroom and relocation of the laundry closet. The owner Allan Valcarcel
represented himself as being a general contractor with a crew to complete the
renovation in 4 to 6 weeks. However, 90% of the time it was only himself and
    his uncle.
From the start of our contract, he was continuously
dishonest about his abilities and missed every single milestone he had given
us. We repeatedly asked for a project plan, of which he never provided. After
it was apparent that this contractor would not meet our agreed upon move in
milestones, we hired other contractors to supplement his skeletal
"crew". It was at this time we discovered that Mr. Valcarcel's
electrical and plumbing work were not to code. Three times we requested a line
item cost breakdown of how much of the 50% deposit had been spent since Dadeirok
had not progressed very much in 21 work days and were only about 25% through
    the project.
The day that the licensed electrician and plumber (we hired)
started on our renovation, Mr. Valcarcel disappeared for the day and was not
reachable. Once we visited the site later that evening, we noticed that he had
removed all of his tools and equipment. Although he stated that he would return
to our home the following day, he did not. Instead the real estate agent that
referred him notified us that he was working on another job for one of her
    other clients.
As of today, our home is inhabitable as the kitchen,
flooring  and master bedroom are still in
a demoed phase after 21 work days. We relied on Dadeirok Builders and Mr.
Valcarcel to have our home ready for move-in, minus minor details being
completed. Instead our renovation project looks the same today as it did 2
weeks ago.  We've lost money having to
reschedule movers, extend our stay in the rental...not to mention bring in
other contractors (at premium prices) at the last minute to correct electrical
and plumbing work not done to code and to assist us in completing the
    renovation.
Instead of Mr. Valcarcel providing the line item cost
breakdown, he provided in an email a blanket bill for over 25% more than what
was budgeted and agreed to in his contract. He refused to itemize the costs and
stated that we owed him money even though the project was only 25% complete.
Dadeirok Builders abandoned our job site and stole over $7,500
    in unearned money. HOMEOWNERS BEWARE!!!!!

    1st Choice Construction ATL
I can't say enough about the professionalism and quality of work that was performed. They worked hard, sometimes more than 12 hours a day to get the job done is as timely a manner as possible.  I was always consulted if there was any question about what *I* wanted, and they always found a way to do what I asked for, even if it was out of the ordinary.  And they had creative suggestions to offer when I needed some direction or was unsure of something. Their skill is unparalleled. I was very impressed with everything they did, and I LOVE the end results!  I will DEFINITELY use 1st Choice Construction ATL on my next project, and HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone doing renovation/rehab work.
