ADr. Darlene White has taken care of my many dogs and cats for over 25 years. Over that time, there have been many out of the ordinary, critical and difficult health issues. I trust her implicitly and there is no one instinctively smart, more empathetic, and truthful. Unfortunately, euthanasia has been needed at times when nature wasn't as timely and merciful as was needed. In those most difficult of times, Dr. White is very compassionate and caring for the pet owner, but more importantly, so tender, patient, and present for the sick animal. There is no one better or kinder. She will encourage necessary diagnostic testing, however, she is respectful of customers' various financial capacities.

AFantastic! She kept in touch with me via text since it was their first time being there. They have a huge play yard for my girls to run! To me that was so important since I have a GSD and Lab, they need to run!

CBottom-line: Our ignorance and the very nice veterinarian's enthusiasm for tests led to a >$400 wellness visit. BE CAREFUL! We just moved to Chattanooga, so we chose to take our two dogs to the vet while both were mostly healthy, but at a time when each had a minor issue to investigate. We did not realize that we should ask about the charge for each and every suggested test that the Vet made. She and her assistant were incredibly nice, but their service was not worth $428. The end result was to learn that our two dogs were generally healthy, one could benefit from occasional arthritis meds and the other had a sprained tail. That was exactly our non-professional opinion before we went and again, the only reason we went at all was in the hopes of doing a quick $60 each to check them and establish a relationship with a vet. They did almost $300 worth of other checks without giving us any idea what those checks would cost and we were fools to not ask.

AI had been to a couple of vets with unsatisfactory results. I wanted a proactive partner for the health of my dog, not someone who did what I told them nor the basics. My dog has been gaining weight since she was spayed and is now very overweight. One doctor suggested expensive food, which she hates, and joked that starving her was how it worked. I am thrilled with Animal Hospital of Signal Mountain. We saw Dr. Williams. She was thorough and fantastic. Our first visit was 1.5 hours. Of 3 vets, she was the only one who focused on the calories of the food my dog gets, not just the amount, and suggested compensating for the reduced amount of kibble with squash and green beans, which my dog is eating well. I felt like she listened and approached the issues in a manner that equaled easy trust in her. I couldn't be happier to have found her.

ATOP DAWG GROOMINGI was anxious about having my newly adopted dogs bathed. To my knowledge, they had only had 2 baths in all their 8 years (and those were after they were surrendered to the Humane Society). But when I picked them up, they were perfectly happy and I was told they did great. So they were well taken care of. And their fur was so soft! I will definitely be taking them there again!- Sherry W.

APetSmartThe lady had a lot of good advice for maintaining the pets grooming. The price seems pretty fair. She did a real good job. She was very punctual.- D. C.

APetcoThe cost depends on how furry the animal is and how much work they have to do. It's generally not more than $50.00. They have other dogs that they work on at the same time. We just drop her off and they get to her when they can. Then they call me when she's finished. The groomer that I always request is amazing. Our pet doesn't tremble or anything, so she likes her. With that particular girl, she's all over her. Licking her and everything. They are very convenient. They are there when I need them.- Anita P.

AMiddle Valley Animal HospitalHe is amazing! He recently was awarded Veterinarian of the Year for Tennessee. When we were little, he would close down the office for an hour or two, and bring one of girls to our house and give all of our cats and dogs their shots. That way, we didn't have to bring them all in. He's phenomenal! They do a good job grooming too.- Laurie C.

AARK PET SPA & HOTELIt was a full grooming including a bath, nails, ears teeth and tail. I think they do a very good job. We boarded her there for a week before that and we liked that service. We are going to be using her every month for grooming.- Judith S.

APick of the Litter Grooming by RikkiI called Ricki the DAY BEFORE we left for vacation and she worked our schnauzer, Sebastian, in her schedule. She and her staff were very pleasant and you could tell they LOVED dogs. I described the way I wanted him cut and 3 hours later picked up the most beautiful little schnauzer you have ever seen! I am delighted to find this kind of quality grooming so close to home. I will most definitely be returning for Sebastian's next grooming!!- Daryl P.

APick of the Litter Grooming by RikkiMy Lhaso has only been groomed once, and it was a terrible experience for him. He is very hyper and won't sit still for very long. The owner Rikki, spent time bonding and calming him. She explained all the procedures and didn't act rushed or disinterested. She was very professional and her shop was clean and organized. The comfort of the pet seemed to be the priority. We discussed style options and I left it up to her. I told her the comfort of the dog was my priority since he is not a show dog. They called me when he was ready for pick up, and I was so suprised and pleased when he came to me! He looked fantastic! He was prancing around like a banty rooster, so happy with a new attitude of gratitude. His cut allowed him visual freedom without having eye boogers and possible infection. He was cut very semetrical , smelled clean and fresh, feet trimmed nicely, and shaved smooth and even on the belly and inner back legs, with good clean lines. She told me of a reaction he had to part of her technique in cutting his face, wasn't angry about it (he snapped at her face) and said she would note that in his file. I rescheduled for his next appointment, was e-mailed my receipt , and set up a reminder time. She has several other services that she offers. She also does cats, which I love, and own two. She also mentioned that she was continuing her education in grooming by going to classes offered. I would recommend her to anyone who has a difficult animal for grooming. She obviously loves the animals, and they love her. She calls them her and quot;fur babiesand quot;. Also, having owned two previous Rottweilers, her and quot;babyand quot; is a Rottie! He is extremely sweet and beautiful, and obviously well loved and trained. I know from experience that Rottie's demand respect and attention for their temperment to be calm and submissive. They live to please, and are picky about who they love. They have never been aggressive, in my experience, if they are taken care of by their owners. They have an excellent radar for human character. I knew in the first few minutes of greeting her dog, that I could be comfortable with her judgement and not worry about the treatment of my dog. I couldn't be more pleased with this experience, and highly recommend her services!- christy m.

ASummerhouse Boarding KennelsWe had friends from Germany that were here and they boarded their animals while they went to Disney World. They had never boarded their animals before and they considered them excellent. I take my dogs there once a year for total grooming and then I do the touch up stuff. They do grooming and boarding. They get excellent care and are happy as clams. They have outdoor play space and indoor drying areas. All of the kennels have themes such as hunters and Hawaiian. Every dog has a bed, it is air conditioned and heated, and there is someone there 24 hours a day with them. It is so precious. There isn't anything bad I could say about the place.- Barbara and Howard H.
