Chimney Cap Repair reviews in Kennesaw

    ARC Chimney Sweeps
They completed an assessment of our chimney secondary to water leakage in our attic. They told us that the chimney cap needed to be replaced and it would be a custom job. Approx. $1800 for a new Chimney Cap. They told us they could not identify any other concerns. After we paid for and the cap to include the installation we waited for another heavy rain. Water was in the attic again. We requested them to come back out to see what it would cost to water proof the brick chimney. They quoted us $2200 and said that that might not fix the problem. We decided to have another bid to water proof and the second company quoted us $250. You can imagine how surprised we were to see such a HUGE variance b/w the 2 companies. (Chimney Masters) Obviously we picked Chimney Master. Have had several heavy rains since then and there has been no water in the attic. That encouraged me to ask another company to price a new chimney cap and the price was half the price. Stay Away from this company.

It worked out just fine. They had to come out and look at it. We had to pay additional because it's a little large than what their sale price was. They did good. I had a lot of work going on at that time so it was hard to keep track of everybody. They said the price of the cap that they had on sale was considerably smaller than the one that they had to install on ours.

From what I can see from the ground, they did a great job  It is a noticeable improvement over the old cover. They fabricate the chimney caps themselves, and the turn around time between measuring and completing the job was very quick.  Very good company to work with

These guys are great and I've used them before.  They go above and beyond to make sure the job is done correctly .I totally trust them and would hire them again. The job was completed on time as expected.   I am very happy I am ready for the Fall and Winter season.

This is a corporate business. They work in 13 states, you are unable to deal with anyone local.
Arrangements were made with this company by the Roofing company that I went through.(They were great).A price was set by Advanced Fireplace Technicians company: however, the first technician that was sent to my house, said that he could not do the job for less than $900.  Way over the price quoted by the company.  It took him a week to come with the replacement cap, and he could not complete the job because it was raining. He scheduled to return in a week( 7 days I have an open chimney).  There was no pitch, and he used inferior metal.  MY Roofer started calling and it took over 5 days( with him calling several times a day for those 5 days) before he spoke with a "supervisor" in Florida.  They sent another technician out to finish the job and he was horrified at the work  and the inferior products that was done by the first technician. Inferior products were on my chimney and it was not fitted at all( custom fit????).  They never called with this report, and I waited all morning for someone to show up. Bryan(my roofer) called again and we were told what the new technician had found.  They then wanted to send someone out three weeks later to measure for the new custom fitted cap. This means we would have been dealing with this company This means that we would have been dealing with this company for almost 5 weeks and still have and open chimney. Their customer service is  awful!!  A consumer can never reach anybody that will take care of business for you.   I would NEVER recommend this company. It might have been better if there was someone in town, but you are dealing with a company in another state and  all corporate personnel and supervisors are in Florida and couldn't care less at what kind of service you are receiving.  Very Poor service.  This is a true statement of my experience with Advanced Fireplace Technicians.

They arrived on time and explained everything.  I expected a need for a
new chimney cap but it wasn't needed.  I appreciate their honesty and
would certainly have them come back.

They showed up right on time and started working. Devin (the inside guy) answered all my questions as he was cleaning and telling me what he was doing. Allen (the outside guy) took pictures to show me any work or damage to the chimney cap or top. Did not try to sell me other work.

The workers were prompt, worked hard and did quality work. The house was washed, caulked and painted in 2 days. The yard was left clean. I'd use them again and plan to call them again next year to replace our roof.

The job went just as expected.  The new cap was installed to my satisfaction and looks great.  We have had several multi-inch deluges since the cap was installed with no sign of a leak.  I can recommend Findlay with absolutely no reservation.

This all occurred on the same visit to clean our chimney which is a annual ordeal at my home as well as emptying the 'ash trap.  As the cleaning process  started on time and extremely clean with all the extensions used to sweep and inspect the lining of he chimney flue.  Even with the video equipment used to connect the 360 degree camera to record all that was seen after the chimney was swept. Having discovered the cracks in the chimney flue, clean up started. with the drop cloth previously place around the chimney area no real soot from sweeping the chimney fell on any where noticeable.  The educational process started as the report he normally leaves following each sweeping as well as any repairs preformed on loose mortar around fire brick or around the gas starter. All available options were described and his recommended repair manor for the cracked flue tile to make the fireplace safe to enjoy burning wood again in the hearth of the fireplace. There are no silly questions.  As home owners we are not informed enough about the safety to have burning wood inside our fireplace either masonry or prefab. Connie's sweet voice is a please greeting when calling their number.  If any question is unanswered, you can be assured that she will get the answer to you. My wife and I would highly recommend  this Chimney Sweep to anyone looking for one punctual, truthful, honest and courteous Sweep.
