  • He had all his tools, didn't have to ask me for anything and spread the paraphernalia out on a quilt he brought with him. He's not a chatty Charlie who squanders anyone's time with idle banter; comes in, does his job well, packs up and he's off to save his next piece of furniture.  Very refreshing to deal with someone prompt, courteous and no nonsense.

  • Called to ask what models of the brand I had chosen they had IN STOCK and the price.   I asked him to please verify that he had the models.  He said he would call right back.  When I called back 5 hrs later; he said he had not found out would call me next morning.  Next morning I called again; he was busy would call me back.   3 hrs later when I called back ... sure enough wrong model #'s.  Decided on the models I wanted that he told me they had in stock and was told they would be delivered Friday morning.  Called late afternoon the day before to verify delivery.  New guy answering the phone "I don't have your name anywhere"  I'll check ..... " we don't have the dryer, but will deliver washer as scheduled, dryer at a later date".   Fine with me.  This morning:  Original salesman calls (yes he actually did) News:  "We don't have the washer model you want but we will have it in another 5-10 days".   
    Then he seemed genuinely surprised when I said 10 days of disappointments was too much when I called him and gave him a sale he didn't even have to work for.  
    Meanwhile, a trip to the laundromat.  Ugh.

  • Pascal was very responsive and engaged.  I had several questions in setting up timing and he was very quick to respond to emails.  We scheduled the time for the meeting and they called prior and were on time.  They did a very quality job loading the piano and moving it 23 miles to our new home.  Once here I did take the option for them to do a thorough cleaning and polishing of the piano as it had not been cleaned in years.  
    Once done we had it tuned.  He informed me that as it was so far out of tune the normal $95 tuning would be $195.  I did not have a problem with that as it had been neglected.
    Overall they spent about two hours onsite setting up the piano, cleaning it, polishing it, and then tuning.  The end result is the piano looks showroom new.  My wife is thrilled.
    Overall I am extremely pleased with the move and result and would happily use Pascal again!

  • We waited 2-3 weeks with no word. I called the store several times and was told by Ms. Densmore that, "I just forgot to re-order, I'll take care of it now," "I haven't decided whether to order replacements or send someone to repair it," "I haven't had time to do anything about it".... During the conversation in which she advised she would "decide" whether to repair or replace I advised that I would not accept repair since there was no way to repair rather large, missing wood chips and scratches without the repairs being very obvious. We waited some more, after 2 months with no word I went to the store. Ms. Densmore's expression when she looked up to see me standing at her desk was an expression of both annoyance and anger. I, politely, asked her what was happening, when was the new furniture going to be delivered. Yet again she advised that she "hadn't decided whether to repair or replace".....I, again, advised there was no repairing since rather large chips of wood were missing and that I had paid for new, undamaged furniture, not damaged, repaired furniture. It has now been 7 months and there's been no word from Densmore Furniture. In addition to the damaged furniture that was delivered, there are several places beginning to appear on all the pieces wherein the finish is bubbling and peeling off indicating that the furniture had been wet or very damp at some point. I would like to add that we take very, very good care of our furniture and this appearing damage is not a result of improper care. I now think that Densmore had no intention of replacing the damaged furniture they delivered in March because they do not buy first-quality but rather seconds they pass off as first-quality. Hearing nothing as a result of my visit to Densmore Furniture, after 2-3 weeks I began calling again only to receive recorded messages that my calls would not be accepted....obviously, Ms. Densmore has Caller ID. I then wrote a letter which has never received a response. I will not purchase anything from Densmore Furniture in Ball Ground, Georgia, again due to the lack of concern for customers once money has changed hands.

  • Excellent experience from walking in the door to taking delivery. Very helpful, courteous owners, staff, and delivery crew. Never a delay in delivery, special order items arrived on time with no delays. Delivery crew was careful, wiped their feet at the door every trip in and out; set-up whatever needed to be set up...even helped us move an item we had not purchased from them. Cannot say enough about the excellent customer service, prices, variety, and quality of Appalachian Home Furnishings.

  • Horrid experience! We special ordered a desk and paid 50% down at the time of order. Strangely, and foretelling was the fact that the store owner gave us a price of $900 for the desk and yet, when we went back 3 hours later to order the desk a sales person gave us a price of over $1200. After some discussion, the desk was eventually ordered @$900 with a promise to deliver one week later. Delivery dates came and went....the first scheduled date - no one showed up or called and we waited all day long. The excuse for that failed delivery was that the delivery truck was stuck in traffic for 7 hours (highly unlikely even in the Atlanta area). The second scheduled delivery date also came and went with us waiting, again, all day long. The excuse then was that they'd picked up the desk from the distributor but didn't check it until they arrived back at their store only to discover the desk was damaged. The third delivery date came and went, again, us waiting all day long. The excuses offered for their no-show/no-call that day included "only one truck on the road today and they're running behind" and "we brought in a 2nd truck and crew today just to deliver your desk but they got stuck in traffic"... Excuses always varied depending upon whether we spoke with the owner or one of his staff. And, never once did anyone from Holly Springs Furniture call us to say they were delayed. Every time it was us who called them after waiting and wondering for hours. After the 4th failed attempt at getting our desk delivered and having waited almost 3 weeks, I called the store and was told if I'd stay home the following day, which would have been the 5th day I'd stayed home and waited, they'd be sure to deliver the desk. When I replied that I was not waiting any longer nor wasting another day, and expected a full refund of the down payment the owner stated that he "didn't operate like that"??? and that he never put one customer's delivery "over another" and he'd been too busy to deliver one desk when he had other customers purchasing full rooms of furniture; rather an illogical not to mention ridiculous excuse to say the least. He also stated that since the desk was a "special order" the down payment was not refundable. After advising him that I would report him to the BBB as well as discuss the matter with an attorney, the owner agreed to refund our money. Approximately, an hour later, his bookkeeper called for a mailing address and indicated that we would NOT receive a full refund. After going over the BBB and the attorney aspect for the 2nd time, we were much surprised to receive a check in the mail the following day for the full amount.
