    Georgia Paint
Shoddy, shoddy work!!! Prep work was not completed before beginning painting. Dust and dirt was actually painted onto baseboards and walls. The majority of nail holes in the trim were not filled. No caulking was done. LOTS of runs, especially on trim, were made with no attempts to correct. Walls were declared to be finished with two coats, but had only one coat, which was glaringly poorly painted with only one coat. Two cans of paint, purchased by owner, were never accounted for, even when rooms were "finished". Owner taped brown paper to floors of upstairs bedrooms, along with plastic to protect contents of closets, and moved all furniture to centers of rooms and also covered with plastic - all voluntary in attempt to be helpful and to allow painters' more time to paint. Oil based paint was applied over latex paint, resulting in family needing to stay three 3 days in hotel to avoid dangerous outgassing of oil paint fumes. Many cigarette butts were dropped outside house even after owner specifically requested prior to beginning work that all butts not be dropped onto ground. NO rooms were ever finished. Repeatedly, owner's polite and clearly communicated requests to correct oversights were directly blatantly dismissed. Company representative was cleverly polite (and himself said that he might easily make "a used car salesman"), but his supervision of his crew was minimal. Owner was left cleaning up after painters left the project and are now doing the job ourselves. Over the years Owners have done lots of painting ourselves and know what quality painting should look like when properly done. Ga Paint's original bid was very high. $2,900. An agreement was made to terminate with owner paying $1,700. And owner had supplied all paint and some supplies! Avoid this company like the plague!!!!!

Day one of my kitchen remodel was demolition.  All went well but the owner did not show up to the site, leaving the workers guessing what needed to be done.  Soffits were not removed during this demo, because they didn't know they were to be removed.  Day two demo again to remove the soffits.  (Workers did clean up after themselves before leaving).  Electrical wires were moved for my stove and microwave, but no supervisor on job site day two - workers didn't know a light was to be installed and finished off the wiring before I caught it and once again filled them in.  The owner not showing up yet again on day three resulted in the upper cabinets being installed incorrectly by not centering them on the wall (as per the diagram I provided) and having to be moved after installation.  Walls were drywalled, taped and mudded and I was then told to paint the wall with one coat so he could see where he needed to touch up and smooth out the Spackle job.  I felt that was a waste of time and paint so I sanded it myself and filled the gaps before painting.  The details of this job were very important to me and I felt were not to them.  For example, the owner installed one panel on the back side of the cabinet where two panels would be and would have a seam between the two, but he did not center it because he did not bring his table saw.  So they would have been off entered, not a big deal to him, but it needed to be corrected for me.  I had him redo them and he was not happy.  Another example was they left a gap on either side of the dishwasher that was over 1" on either side and you could see the insulation wrapped around the machine.  The owner said in case I decide to get a bigger dishwasher. I just had him install the trim piece that we ordered just for that and when he installed the kick plate for it, he didn't take it to the trim piece, leaving a hole at the bottom corner of the dishwasher about 3 inches wide.  They installed the dishwasher and I guess thought that the ground wire did not need to be hooked up.  We found this out in the process of uninstalling it in preparation for the new dishwasher.  The he sends the final bill via email and never came to see if we were satisfied or had any issues with any of the work, which we did.  We then told him that we were not happy with the under cabinet lighting he installed and all the white wires running along the bottom.  ( I removed the lighting, and returned them to the company because I was so disappointed and was refunded for them)  Also had to send pictures of the wiring job they did for the dishwasher.  The worker hard wired the dishwasher and taped the wires with black tape from the wall to the dishwasher  under the sink.  I told him that not only was this unprofessional but it was also unsafe.  I asked him to put the conduit that was taken off my dishwasher back on.  They broke one of the knobs for the water supply so I asked him to replace it and to cover the holes in the wall they made. ( He send his worker, and this was done properly)  The owner still did not come to see if everything was done to our satisfaction.  This company's attention to the "details" is where we had most of our issues and after pointing them out time and time again, I must have made the owner mad, because he stopped coming to the job site and had very little contact with me, and did not even do a final inspection on the job to make sure I was pleased with the work.  If I wanted it done just okay, I could have done it myself.  I paid a professional to have it look professional.

    Perna Construction & Flooring, LLC
First, let me say that they first did my roof also for a SUPER GOOD price. I was so impressed so I decided to find out, what else can they do! I contacted Theresa and right away back in 2013 she gave me an estimate via email which I preferred and appreciated communicating this way. I live in Hinesville, by the way. So, they did all of the things mentioned above and I couldn't be happier. I will be contacting them again soon to complete more work on my home before selling it because her estimates can't be beat and I appreciate the whole crew's friendliness each and every time! I wish I wrote this review sooner, but I have just joined Angie's List and after looking up painter information for a different contractor company (its the reason why I joined -- to research local painters), I then immediately searched to find this company to show my appreciation for the work they have done for me in the past.

Good for the most part, I did have to send pictures of the work that needed to be corrected. I was unaware that moving/replacing appliances was not covered in the estimate. I was also unaware that the painting of the baseboards in the kitchen was not included in the estimate. This required an additional visit. I am happy with the work that was done, and I would use these guys again. They were very professional.

They were very professional and friendly. they pointed out many defects that we never even noticed. The price was a reasonable price, they were always punctual and responded to my calls or called back right away when i had a question about something. What i like about them was that they finished their work in the estimated time given. I definitely recommend them to anyone as i heard about them on angie's list as well.

    Superior Home Improvement
Ricky Boger of Superior Home Improvement Remodel my kitchen; His work is EXCEPTIONAL he even helped me pick out color's, granite and offered sound advice. I thought his price was high at first, so I got other estimates and they were either the same or higher; Ricky came back and supplied me with an itemized list, down to the price of the canned lighting. It has been a few years and my kitchen still looks wonderful. I have hired other home improvement companies and have not been so pleased. The reason why I am writing this now (2012) is I recently remodeled my bathroom. An age old story - I hired someone that worked for a family member, the work took forever and looked OK, but underneath it was a mess! Shower leaked on all sides. I have called in Superior Home improvement to fix the job. I WISHED I WOULD HAVE HIRED SUPERIOR IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I wanted to put a and quot;Band quot; but I could not honestly do so.

This was the second time I used this service. Very happy the first time  because he came out, did the work, put everything back in place, came back in two days, checked his work, touched up any spots that may have needed additional work,  Then he called a week later to come back and check it again.  The second time he had a helper, did not mention that he had not gotten an area, he did come back when called to complete the job.  Once he returned he touched up all the spots that he saw needed additonal work, by then we had done some painting and you could see the rough spots, he smooth them over, came back the next day, sanded them down and said once we complete all the painting he would be back to look at it again for any minor corrections. I found him to be very easy to work with, serious about the quality of his work, and willing to go the extra step in guarnteeing your satisfaction with his work.  Does not mind working after hours, like 4, 6 or 7 pm.

He came by, gave me an estimate, I called to schedule work in early December. He was going to call me with a work date.. In early January I called him and played phone tag for several days. He called the third week in January told me to be patient, he would call me back in a week. This is the second week in March. I have not heard from him since January. I CALLED ONCE AGAIN, LEFT A MESSAGE ,THEN TEXTED HIM.  He did not respond to either. I finally hired someone else, not on Angie's list and have been very satisfied.

    R & W Painting & Flooring
Very Happy with how the work went. Work was done in 2 phases.
Provided a deposit of $300 for work to begin. Payments were made after we signed off on each phase for the work.

    Phase 1: Painting.
R&W provided all paint to paint the rooms, used high quality paint w/ primer from Home Depot. Left us all the leftover paint.
Painting was done by 2 people over a weekend, with retouches and some edging done a few days later. They moved everything around the room as needed with no additional charges, no small feat in my living room with 5 bookshelves and an entertainment center.,

They also installed the crown molding at this time, which looks great!

    Phase 2: Flooring.
We provided all needed items for the flooring, they just installed it. Took almost 3 days, they worked late, but would show up a little later then they would originally say. Their time estimate was off as they thought they could get it all done in just 2 days, but it took 3. Floor looks amazing, really happy with the job they did. They would rather spend time doing it right, then doing it fast. I can live with that.

Very happy with the overall work, thinking of using them again when I paint my upstairs of my Condo.
