    Willie Jeffery Asphalt Paving
Very Professional - This was a time critical job since I desired to put house on market in immediate future. Mr. Jefferys was professional during & timely in providing job inspection and quote. Demolition of existing concrete driveway & sidewalk was efficiently & effectively executed as agreed on the morning of day one and base installed and compacted in the afternoon. The following morning asphault was placed and compacted to specifications. In addition he dressed the edges of both the drive & sidewalk with fresh topsoil. Mr. Jefferys and his employees had all heavy equipment necessary of the complete project efficiently & professionally. He maintained a clean workplace throughout the project and provided a one year warranty on materials & workmanship. I would not hesitate to hire him again & heartily recommend both the quality of his work and egarness to insure a truly exceptional conclusion to the project.

    D & J Construction Services
This is an update with photos that I did not have yesterday when I posted the review. I want folks to see the wonderful job David Wimbs and D&J Construction did. Everything went well. Jobs were done last fall in 2017 and last month in March 2018. David Wimbs is a very hard worker and pays attention to detail. He filed for permits and got inspections done by city before and after work was complete. He even drew the design by what I told him I'd like to have to get permits and showing them the plan. His employees very polite and worked well also. On Shady Lane had a 4 car (minimum) double wide driveway done, a mini patio, walkways leading to each for $6300. which was done in March 2018. Last fall D & J did another on Windwood Cul De Sac another 4 car (minimum) double wide driveway, larger patio, mini sit down area next to driveway and house for close to $7000. Yes I have what city calls two front yards because my property is on corner of one street and a second street. Every dollar I paid D & J construction was worth every penny and than some. David kept me apprised as he complete various things and made sure to keep me in the loop. Very professional, very business like, very polite. I would highly recommend this company and its owner if they want quality work done. Contract was pay half up front when job started and balance on day of completion and city inspected.

Part 1 went OK. carport is nice, but driveway extension has 1/2' slump in 2 areas that pond water.

Part 2 resulted in a patio that  was so sloped that we couldn't feel comfortable in a chair on  it..

He said that only way to fix the way we wanted was to rip it all out and start over. (2d contractor cut half out and poured to our   satisfaction)

Part 3 20' of driveway needed to be removed. He talked us into 40',

We stopped his work for the following reasons:

"All driveways have puddles after it rains."

He wouldn't listen to our request to saw and re-pour half, not all, of the patio.

Cement truck he guided onto our property caught our electric service line and bent the mast to a 60 degree angle ($275 to replace).

Wire was "guided" over next cement truck by Mr Wimbs and he did a very risky high wire act on the top of the cement truck to avoid using wheelbarrows to move the concrete.

He didn't seem to accept description of what we wanted and told us how it should be.

We terminated the contract although the project was not complete and he had often promised to stay until the work was completed to our satisfaction. That seemed to be too far away.

We hired another contractor and the cement work was completed within a week, the first time. No re-do required.

Recommendation: Be at worksite to supervise all that he does.

    Islands Construction
After I paid him in full, everything started to go sour. The level of expertise wasn't there and the work was amateur at best. The city has sent him a "Stop Work" citation, and he hasn't responded to the city. I have attempted to correspond with him multiple times and I asked him to come and complete the project and he claims he has no more money to complete the project. I have found out that he has done this to several other member of my community.

    D J CONSTRUCTION

He          As mentioned earlier in my address, Mr. Wimbs and I went into an agreement to have some gravel brought to the location needed on a specific date. We had some communication issues prior to the actual date of action though, the following day I was notified that he can complete the job as given.  On the day of the job Mr. Wimbs called me and said that he was at the location and prepared to go and pick up the rocks or gravel needed for the job.  When I arrived at the job location Mr. Wimbs was already on site.  When I arrived we spoke briefly about the diversity in communication and time lines not being met though we extinguished the conversation so that we could move on to complete the task.  Mr. Wimbs told me that he had a dump truck  that he would use to transport the gravel.  He mentioned to me that 3 and a half to 4 ton would make it more drivable at least around the house, where there was a large depressed area that filled up with water after a big rain.  So as spoken from his say I went along with the plan and for him to bring out his equipment and to spread out the gravel the specified area.  Mr. Wimbs came to the site with a truck that was not an actual dump truck as I expected.  He arrived at the site with a small scaled truck that looks to be more of a watermelon truck sort of speak caring an amount of rocks that was much lower then what I expected.  For the amount of gravel that was brought to the site, and the amount that it covered, I was beginning to question the amount of rock he actually brought because it did nothing of what I prospected.  He wrote a receipt for the gravel that was brought though I ask for a copy of the receipt that was written and he replyed with " hold on let me move my truck"  so I waited for him to move his vehicle.  Granted I waited for him to bring it to me, I never received it because one thing led to the next and I never received it.  With being dissatisfied with the job I asked for the recIeipt from where the gravel was purchased and he told me that he would send it in the mail.  I waited so not to be a pain in the neck about it though I never received it so I txt'ed him about it once again and he told me he would get it to me after he came back in town.  Two days passed and I started to have second thoughts about the amount of gravel brought because I was not able to obtain a receipt when I requested. I requested a few times for the receipt until Mr. Wimbs began to become a bit irate with my consisted txtin to obtain what I should had received the day of the job on site.  With the reply's of deceiving txt messages, I turned to a legal reaction to get what I ask for since I was not getting it the other way.  I still have the conversation's saved as it went because of maybe having to take them to court with me.  Because of his dissatisfaction with me continued requesting the receipt he began to tell me that  I am rude and that I am now acting like his enemy.  He attends to think that I am preying on him for some reason or another.   to not call him again, lose his number, Do not txt or call me again.  He also mentioned that if I needed anymore assistance to take my business else where.  This is not the first time that I have referred Mr. Wimbs to a job that he was able to capitalize off of.  When everything went ok from start to end, there was no problem.  Though now that he merely slipped up on a business step to give a receipt when requested, he goes over the deep end instead of just handling the problem like a business man is suppose to do regardless of the situation.  When he was finally summoned to meet court, I finally got the receipt in the mail. In stead of Mr. Wimbs calling me and working out the situation, he instead counter suited claiming that I was not licensed to conduct business in so forth. Well I figured if that was a question all before why didn't it matter with the other jobs that I had brought to him because of the track record he had with me thus far.  Now I think we are treading on a double standard sort of speak.  At the beginning of when I met Mr. Wimbs he showed me his track record and previous report cards of jobs he had done telling me that he had an A+ rating which I did not doubt at any rate though I had to only go by what I can contest too.  Well to end this letter I will say this: " No matter what you have done before he met me, right now and with this encounter we have entered into showed me first hand what he is capable of and how he handles BUSINESS when put under pressure.  It is hard to believe this is the first problem that Mr. Wimbs has encountered during his tenure of his process of concrete work though I just believe I may be the only one that had taken the time to express what happened between us.  Since this has taken place I have spoken to many of my constituents and many have mentioned not to favorable of his work as well.  At this point I was just not aware of the actual truth.  I will end with this saying that I really began to like Mr. Wimbs as a person and a friend though was just stunned and surprised of the outcome of the conclusion of this one connection.  Signed: Raymond McFarland

    PADGETT GARAGE DOORS
I initially called to inquire about the price difference of a garage
door install on a product they supplied versus one that I purchased.
Once I determined that I would rather buy my own garage door opener and
had received it I called them back about coming out to install it.  We
live in Hinesville and they told me that they didn't come out all the
time so I was surprised when they said they could come out to install
for me the following week!!  They arrived promptly at 830am and
installed the unit in about an hour and a half and serviced my
pre-existing door.  They also discovered that the 2x4's holding the door
frame to my garage structure was coming apart and fixed it for me.
They quoted me one price and that is exactly what I paid - all in all,
great experience and if anything needs fixing down the road I will
    definitely call back.
