    Karen is extremely helpful, professional, and accommodating even on short notice. It's a relief to know that our beloved pets are well cared for when we can't be at home. With multiple pets, her services are much more affordable than boarding in a kennel, and our pets don't have to deal with the stress of being out of their normal environment, exposed to illness and strangers, or major upsets to their routine. She's also great about keeping us updated with pictures and reports on the critters when we're out of town. We've lived all over the country and Karen is the best pet sitter we've ever had.

    I scheduled service several weeks before my weekend trip, and Karen came by to meet my dog and determine what services I needed.  I knew she would be great when my dog took an immediate liking to her, sat next to her, and gave her a lick ... dogs are great judges of character.  Karen came to my house the afternoon of 6/27 and morning of 6/28 to feed my dog, give her medications, take her for a short walk or out into the back yard (whichever my dog wanted to do), bring in the mail and newspaper, etc.  While she came by later both morning and afternoon than my dog is used to eating, her visits were well within acceptable time frames.  She texted me during or immediately following each visit to let me know that everything was OK and give a status of my old dog.  It appears that everything went well, as my dog was in great shape when I got home and the house was left clean, neat, and secure.  I tried another pet sitter several months ago, but was much more comfortable with Karen ... and her prices are extremely reasonable.

    Tender Paws Pet Solutions
    I am almost 60 with a vision disability. I went to PetSmart and my dog Lucky and I went through training classes. We spent an hour with the trainer, Jeffery who was very nice. I hired Tender Paws Pet Solutions in the fall of 2012 to walk my dog three days a week. I had a 4month old puppy that was supposed to be a small dog. It turned out she was larger and needed to be walked. I was not able walk her and had to hire someone. The first two or three weeks Angelina and John came together to walk my dog. Angelina went in to PetSmart without my authorization and told the trainer that I should give my dog away because I have a vision problem and no back yard. She then came into my house and told me the trainer said I should give Lucky away because of my visual impairment and no backyard. I called and talked to Jeffery, the trainer who told me he had said no such thing and that it was Angelina who came to him and said all this. He defended me saying that the reason I hired them was to walk Lucky for me as I was physically unable to and they were hired to help me. After that John walked my dog 3x a week for over a year and bonded Lucky and Lucky bonded with him as well. He was very helpful and very caring. His wife had stepped back and took on the administration part of the business. His daughter tries to help but is in school and is also working another job. I was very flexible working with Johns schedule around his second job. He would walk with me and was training me how to walk Lucky so I could take her short distances in the neighborhood. I asked if he was willing to walk her on Sundays while I was at church and Sunday School so she wasn’t in her kennel the entire time I was gone. The last time he was supposed to come was December 15th. John called while I was on the way to church and said he was sick and was unable to come and walk Lucky. I asked if he could come Monday and he said he would call me and let me know if he was going to be well enough to walk Lucky on her regular day. At 9a Monday I had not heard from John and Lucky was starting to get anxious about her walk. I called his phone and left a message asking for him to let me know if he was still sick or was coming to walk my dog. I called a total of 4 times to find out if he was coming. Around 10 I received an email from his wife stating he had the flu and that was it. I was never able to get his wife to answer the shop number and would only get email responses back. I typed back to her asking if he was coming back and the message I got back was that his daughter said I was ringing his phone over and over. All I wanted to know was if he was coming to walk Lucky. I responded back that this was disrespectful that I am a paying customer and would have appreciated a call prior to our set appointment time. I finally called again asking if he was coming back and he said I have the flu and can’t even think. John came Friday Morning the 20th with his daughter. She took Lucky for the walk and John and I sat down to talk about the issue. He started yelling at me and wasn’t being nice. He wouldn’t let me get a word in and kept saying you rang my phone 4 times. I feel like it was instigated by his wife. I tried to tell him that I am his client and that in the old days the customer is always right. I tried to explain that I had a right to ask if he was going to supply me with the service I was paying him for. He yelled at me that I shouldn’t tell him how to run his business. He slammed my key on the table and said he was going to get his daughter and my dog and slammed the door on the way out. When they returned, his daughter was very nice but he was not. He didn’t say anything and walked out the door. On Christmas Day I got a voice mail from John saying that he was calling his customers to wish them a Merry Christmas. I was under the impression I was no longer a customer and have sense then hired a new dog walker. I feel like this was all instigated by his wife who had taken a dislike to me. Lastly, I noticed on their FaceBook page that Angelina is stating she has been a military wife for 26yrs. John was in the military but she was not married to him while he was serving in the US Army. As the mom of daughter who is a retired Army National Guard member, it is very offensive to me for Angelina is trying to better her business by misrepresenting having been a long time military spouse.
