Home Builder reviews in Grovetown

I have learned a hard lesson being this was my first home purchase. Within a couple of months the side of the front porch split in half, walls and flooring inside the house began to split. After the first 6 months everywhere there was a seem, such as where floors meet baseboards and where walls meet trim and molding- it was all coming apart. I also had light bulbs blowing every few weeks, and. O lighting was ever installed on the exterior of my house where the stairs lead off of the deck. The garage door has one side that suddenly popped apart and will not completely close. The builder received a list of all issues way before the 1 year warranty expired and said they would get right on it. No one ever called, came by, and my phone calls stopped being answered or returned. After a year of trying to chase him down, I learned he went into business and was now under Winchester Homes. I believe he has flip flopped several times as I know other neighbors whose home he built who had to threaten to sue for any repairs to be made. When I finally found a way to contact him, the secretary sent out someone to "fix" things after I threatened to have an attorney contact them. I was given a couple of rolls of blue painter tape to stick over all that was wrong. I took time off work to be here and point out things. Long story short, some new sheet-rock was spackled in the major cracks in walls, and they caulked where the floor was apart from the baseboards and slapped a small extra piece of trim over it to make it aesthetic. I was told they would be back to paint once the drywall was completely dry....needless to say I have not heard from, seen, nor had 1 single call answered or returned. I still have white patches and blue tape on all of my walls, and the same splits re-opened within 2 weeks. I have spent thousands on drainage solutions for my yard to keep water away from my foundation, I purchased gutters (which Todd Bailey said I didn't need because my roof had so much pitch), and I had to pay a structural engineers to find that my home does not have enough foundation to ethically support my house- yet it met Columbia County's code. It was also discovered that the framework on my house was once of the most horrible, corner cutting jobs they have seen. Unfortunately, the building codes are only designed so that a house doesn't crumble or burn down. I do not have the time, energy, or deep pockets to keep chasing a business owner down for a job that should have been done right in the first place. Needless to say, I would strongly discourage anyone using this builder to build even a bird cage. My experience has been a complete nightmare, and according to many neighbors I am not alone.

    Enloe Residential
Every time I called to resolve the issue, they were incredibly ugly to me. They told me I was the only person ever to have complained about their service. I now have mold and mildew growing all over my bathroom. There are water stains on every ceiling in my house. The last hard rain we had, a bubble formed on the ceiling and water was running down the sides of the walls. A man from Enloe came out that day and told me that I should not worry, the ceiling would be fixed, the roof replaced, and I would be refunded for all the damage that had occurred from this. I contacted them again to find out when I would be reimbursed and was told by Warren that I would receive no reimbursement, no new roof or any work that had been promised. Warren said the man who came out to my house did not have the authority to tell me those things. The only thing they did to fix this situation is come to my house and screw tarps to my roof, that are still there to this day. I am living on disability and this has been a complete nightmare with them. I cannot even move throughout my house because of the resulting mess and this company is acting as if I am in the wrong here.

    JR Homes
We have had a major mold issue with this house.  The way that they designed the roof allowed water to get behind the stone walls.  JR Homes was supposed to inspect my house but they never did which caused the issue to be bigger.  He knows about this problem and he keeps telling me that they will get it fixed but they always push back the date that they will come.  I am tired that I have to keep reaching out to them to get this resolved.  They started to break down some of the stone and they didn't remove all of the stone.  His sub contractors will tell him that they did one thing, but they didn't. He does not follow up with their work. I have holes in my walls where they have checked to make sure there is no mold. I have no insulation so heat is getting out. I had water standing on both sides of my house because of the landscape and no drainage. This happens when I have my sprinkler system on or when it rains really hard. I bought a luxury home and nothing about this home right now is luxury.

The contract was negotiated quickly, they were fair in price and high on quality.
The home was built within the time period requested, the buyers were able to go out and view the progress each week.
We closed on time, the home was impeccably done and the buyers had no complaints.

    J Haynes Waters Builders Inc

J HAYNES WATERS BUILDERS INC. signed a contract to build a house in July, 2011 for my in-laws, an elderly couple. They estimated construction time of "50 work days". It did not take long to realize that "work days" were defined as days they showed up to work. They had unlimited access to the construction site and there were no unexpected causes for delay. Numerous promises were made regarding timelines during the construction but none of them were met. The owner convinced my mother-in-law to making final payment in December 2011, prior to all work being complete. After final payment the builder virtually forgot about completing the work. As of May 2012 the work was still incomplete and the contractor discontinued all correspondence. I would NOT recommend this builder.

I would definitely recommend them; the house is built very well and there is nothing wrong with it. They were cooperative during the buying process but I did not work specifically with the builders. The realtor that they went through was very responsive.

    Trinity Custom Homes
We were looking to build a home and had no idea we could afford to build and get almost everything we wanted too. I talked with Trinity Custom Homes because I saw an advertisement. After meeting with the representative, he immediately gave us references and we were able to talk with existing happy customers. The home was built quickly and with good quality. I was able to be onsite almost everyday and saw the workmanship. The representative did not use any pressure and we were able to change the floor plan to suit our taste. The service after the sale has been exceptional. Julio is the person of oversite and he is extremely easy to communicate and work with. I highly recommend Trinity Custom Homes.
