    We contacted Tres in January and went over what we wanted done. He came back in February to do another site survey because was wanted to add more to the job. He gave us an invoice for $11,177.30 and required half money down to begin the install. We gave him a check for $6000 dollars which was over the $5588.65 which he required. He said it would be a couple weeks to get the materials together. I emailed 1 month later in March 20th to get an update. He emailed back the same day and said he would see if the stone had arrived. I emailed him back on the 29th and asked for an update. He said the stone arrived the previous Wednesday he would pick it up Monday. He needed to drive up to Greenville to select the slab of wood and would send us pictures of the wood with the stone. I received none. I didn't hear back from him till I contacted him April 25th. He told me he still had to go pick out the wood and that he had 2 deaths in the family the last 2 weeks. I told him to take as much time as needed for this. On May 10th, I asked for an update and he said his wife's father was in hospice and Tres asked me what my availability schedule was for the install. I sent him this and then didn't hear back till about it for a 3 days after texting asking if he received it.. On May 30th, we FINALLY scheduled an install date for July 5th. On June 28, I sent a text asking if we were still on for the install, no response.. On July 4th he sent me a text asking if the stone was delivered to our house Friday, July 1st. No email, text or phone call was sent that we should be expecting the materials. I said nothing was delivered and he said he would pick them up himself. He said he would be at the house July 5th at 10 am and the install would take 5 days maximum. On July 5th at 9:37 AM, Tres texts me "They are looking for your stone". I tell him to keep me posted. At 11 AM, I text for an update and he says they didn't find the stone and he's waiting on a call from management. At 12:56pm, Tres informs me that they can't find the stone and they are seeing how fast they can get it. At 2:17pm, I ask him how we go about canceling and getting our money back. He says he understands and it will take a couple days to process the refund. On July 17th, I sent a text if the check had been sent out. He sent a text the next day that the check went out that morning. July 19th received a check for $5,588.65 which was $411.35 less than the 6000 we gave him. I sent him a text about the error and he said he made an error and would send the remainder. On August 4th and 17th I texted if he sent out the remaining money. He said my text was in his unknown senders folder and that he thought the check was sent out and would check in the morning. Never received anything. Between the time of canceling the install and the final text message, we were able to meet another contractor and get this project done within 5 weeks.

    BHR is an excellent company. They show up on time and do an outstanding job every time. We have used them several times over the past 4 years and their work is always consistent and done according to my expectations. The owner stands behind his work. He comes in and works right along side his guys. His workers are polite and work hard. They come early and stay late. I would recommend them to others who need home repairs or renovations. I have never had any problems with their work. I will definitely use them again and I am already making plans for BHR to do some more remodeling for me in the near future.

    Chuck exceeded my expectations, went above and beyond the typical service and I would definitely use his company again or recommend to someone.  My home required some interior painting and maintenance after having a tenant in it for nearly 5 years.  I live 6000 miles away and Chuck diligently surveyed my home for what services were needed based on my comments and his inspection.  With that being said, Chuck displayed the most courteous level of customer service that I have experienced, not only with home repair services, but in any type of business.  Several years ago, I had received a few estimates for similar services and the quality of customer service from those businesses was very poor and neither of them seemed to care if they got my business or not.  Chuck provided an estimate that was very close to the final costs, which only increased due to the large amount of things that he completed.  Chuck did an excellent job in my home.  These are some of the things that he completed.  Repairing holes/cracks in drywall, priming and painting of 4 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, foyer, hallways and breakfast area.  He also repaired a light fixture in the kitchen and bi-fold doors in a bedroom closet and removing, cleaning, and re-caulking the shower in the master bathroom.  A few of my kitchen cabinet doors required repair.  Chuck was kind enough to remove the doors, take them to a reputable shop that could do the necessary re-laminating and then reinstalled them.  Again, since I'm 6000 miles away, he provided me with excellent references for some other repairs that needed to be completed.  I was able to get those taken care of in a timely manner as well.  Finally, Chuck cut and removed a medium size pine tree that had recently fallen into my backyard.  I was really nervous about getting this work done by only negotiating through email and phone, but Chuck handled every aspect of our dealings with the utmost professionalism.  Give him a call today!  You will be satisfied.

Arrived prepared with all the right tools and materials, and had work that would've taken me all day done in two hours. Repairs looked just like new, which was important to me since the house is only about 5 years old. Will be hiring again soon for some painting and tile.

    Steve was very responsive, and the tenant is pleased with the work he did. Steve also told me about some issues with the garage door and recommended I contact Overhead Doors to do the repair.
    Steve coordinated inspection and repair times with the tenant and called me to discuss what he found. He provided a verbal estimate of the work to be done, and completed the work for that amount.

    Overall I was pleased with the service. He fit me in a very tight schedule and I appreciated that part of his approach. The tenant stated he was punctual, went about his work, and corrected every deficiency in a professional manner. He walked her through the home when he was done and showed her every item he had fixed. He called before and after the job. He did quality work and was prepared to fix everything.

    I think the biggest drawback to his business was that he does not use automation in the least, especially email. His billing was done by paper invoice that arrived some time after the job and it was done manually. I had to send a money order because he did not accept checks or credit cards, only cash. He is probably losing a lot of business due to the inefficiency and I felt like I was adjusted to him rather than the other way around. Busy professionals, such as myself, will have a tough time coordinating a job with him.

    I thought the price was slightly too much for the deficiencies but not enough for me not to do the work. He did provide the estimate before hand so I was not surprised, another positive aspect to his business.
