    Atlas Bi-City Fence Company
In 2015, we contacted Home Depot to arrange for a fence installation (wood and chain link). Atlas / Bi-City fence was the installer selected by Home Depot. The installation appeared to go smoothly. After 2 years, we noticed one whole section of the wood fence was leaning. We contacted Atlas / Bi-City fence directly (as we were out of the warranty period). They came out and fixed the fence for a fee. At that time, the owner quoted us a price to stain the fence. Seemed like a good company and a good price so, we agreed. We selected a Behr solid stain. They came out to stain the fence and, since I was working, I paid them near the end of the job (prior to inspection) as I wanted to be fair to this small business. BIG MISTAKE. Our fence was not fully stained, there are places where we see what appears to be bare wood. There are places where the stain is disturbingly uneven. I'm not being picky, just looking for a reasonable and quality job. Upon contacting the owner, he told us it looked good from the street and that the color for the solid stain isn't meant to be "even". He did however commit to come out and apply stain to the uneven areas. Buyer beware. I've waited over a month for this company to come out and fix the issue. I'm sure they won't be coming back. Very disappointed as I had faith that this was going to be taken care of and even stood up for the company with my husband as I knew they were going to do the right thing. :(

Mr. Bruce Holt was very attentive and knew how to correct the problem on my fence. This was a $525 job which included a military discount. Thank you for helping us and honoring my husband's military service. Mrs. Horne

    J&G Home Renovations
They were reasonably punctual, did basic prep on the deck, but painted over leaves stuck between deck floor slats instead of removing then. The gutter repair is fine, as are the other repair. Occasionally things were not clear; Sam is the only one fluent in English, most of the other fellows were not, so I had to explain what I wanted to him and then he told the guys what I wanted.

    McIntyre Fencing - Georgia
We built a new pool and per the county code we had to have a fence to enclose it.  I didn't want one, but since we had to have one, I decided it was going to be a beautiful fence that matched the craftsman style of our house (stained wood posts, dadoes, bronze caps and bronze iron fencing).  Nobody locally wanted to do this specialty job.  We priced iron fencing at a wholesale fence supply company thinking we could install it ourselves and maybe it would also be cheaper.  After getting the quote, we called the fence manufacturer and asked if they recommended anyone.  They recommended McIntyre fencing, but it was 1 1/2 to 2 hours away from us.  We called anyway and they said they would come down here and do the installation.  Not only was their bid over $1000 cheaper than the wholesale fencing place, but they were going to install it for us.  They were very easy to work with and very accommodating considering we had to change the installation date 3 times due to issues with the pool. They also endured endless questioning by my husband. Once they started the installation, they expertly installed the posts we supplied and even put up the supports for two arbors.  Everything is sturdy, straight, and perfect.  They cleaned up after themselves and left the area looking better than when they came in.  I am telling all of my friends and associates that if they need a fence, this is the only company they should call.

    Strong Fence
Daniel and his crew were here bright and early and worked hard throughout the day.  All we had were weeds for a lawn.  Daniel dug everything up, sodded, planted 2 Japanese Maples, flowers and referred me for a sprinkler system.  They were excellent at everything and cleaned up perfectly when they were finished with the yard.  It Looked / looks beautiful.  I hired Cutting Edge to ensure the yard was maintained and continued to look as nice as the day he finished.  I had 4 other bids and none could come close to Daniel...not in price or what they would do.  Daniel charged me $8500.00 for everything.  I had another person quote $10,000and would only do the front and sides, not the back.  I highly recommend Daniel and Strong Fence.  I do not see a place to post pictures, but will look further into the sight.

    Fencing Florida, Inc

Florida Fencing, Inc. provided the highest quality service in the quickest possible time allotted. They greatly helped me out in a time of need due to a prior fencing company completely screwing up by lying and installing an incorrect fence. I called Brad, and within 2 business days, he had the entire permit packet established and ready for an expedited change. The process was quick, seamless, and incredible.

Our new fence looks FANTASTIC, and the laborers involved were very friendly and fast, keeping quality work in mind the entire time. Heather is one of the best assistants I have seen in the small business world. She personally made sure that all paperwork and processes were done correctly at the City level, ensuring our fencing was done perfectly. Thank you so much!

Fresh Coat Painters of Columbus GA
The entire cleaning and staining project was a really good experience.  Walt, Joey, Matt, Jason and "amazing" Ashley were a pleasure to have at my home.  I have 3 dogs and an 11 year old who are Constantly in and out of the house.  The only way out to the yard is down stairs and on decks that Walt and crew were working on.  They helped make it easy for me to redirect all my 4 legged and 2 legged traffic to get in and out to run and play.  Amazing that my dogs didn't ever step in any stain or materials. Although my coonhound did take off with a roll of their painters tape.   She had so much fun with it and returned with some nice teeth marks.    The weather went from raining to below freezing, but Walt kept me up to date on when they would be here to work when the weather permitted.
I can't say enough nice things about the crew.  They did a FABULOUS job of cleaning all the decks and stairs!  They made them look brand new.  The job was a combination of new and old wood that needed to be cleaned and stained.   I choose to colors, one to match old decks and stairs that flowed into new decks.  They made them look seamless.  Old matching new.   2 other areas of "new" (1 year old) decks were stained with a contrasting color.  Looks GREAT!
I plan on painting the outside of my home in a few months, I will definitely use Fresh Coat Painters.

    Affordable Handyman Service
The work done on my rental house looks pretty good. Of course, there?s more to repair and paint work than what can be seen on the surface. Since I could only check in about once a day, I would generally have to trust that work was being performed to my expectations.
It was on one of my daily stops that my crisis of confidence began. Some of my vertical window moldings had concave and cracked faces at their lower ends -- sure signs that they were rotting inside. I had pointed these out to Jason, when he came to bid the job. He had said they would be repaired with a Bondo-like filler, before being painted. What I found in my spot check, was that the cracks had been filled with caulk, as if they were simply going to be painted over, with no repair to the rot. I pointed this out to the painter, and told him that was not OK. He agreed, saying they had been caulked by mistake, and that the moldings would be repaired properly. I also spoke to Jason on the phone. He apologized, and said the bad spots would be replaced with new wood sectioned in.
When I was called to the site on the last day, for final check and payment, I found that the moldings were not repaired, and had simply been painted over! I was probing them with a knife blade, but, Jason joined in with a screwdriver, gouging out rot from the moldings I had been aware of, and found several more moldings that needed repair. Jason said it would all be taken care of in the next hour or so.
We also looked at a repair he had made to a rotted garage door frame that we had discussed on our initial meeting. At that meeting, we agreed that the wood should not run all the way to the concrete -- that being a common construction error that leads to rot. We agreed that there should be an uncaulked, 3/8 inch gap, to allow for air circulation, and to prevent wicking of water. I was SO glad to find someone that understood this commonsense approach to such a common problem. But, the repair DID run all the way to the to the concrete, and was caulked around. When I made note of that, Jason said it was not a problem, because he had used pressure-treated wood for the 4-inch repair section. He might be right. He might be wrong, with the contact still allowing water to wick up to the original wood above the repair. But, the real issue is that the repair was not done as we had agreed.
I left for a while, so the rot repairs could be made, and so I might get a grip on my tension. It was about 90 minutes before I was called back. I spent most of that time asking myself questions like these: How could home repair guys either A), not recognize obviously rotted molding, or B), think it is ever OK to paint over rotten wood? How could they make the same mistake a second time, when it had already been pointed out to them? Could proper repairs be done to the rotted wood in the last 90 minutes of a week-long job? Had all other aspects of the work been done as we had agreed, and/or to accepted best practices? I DON'T KNOW, and, I don?t appreciate being forced to entertain such questions.
When I got back, Jason showed me where he had sectioned in wood to the areas of worst rot, and had used Bondo-filler on the others. As we were going over the bill, he stated that he had not charged me for any rot repair, noting there was no line-item for it on the estimate. Really? Lacking any evidence to the contrary, I would have expected that a certain amount of rot repair is figured into a paint job in the same way that a certain amount of decking repair is figured into a roofing job. At any rate, we had certainly discussed rot repair when he came to bid the job.
I?ll conclude with a point in Jason?s favor. I had taken bids from two other repair guys. I did not hire them, in part, because they resisted the notion that Masonite and fiber cement boards needed to have their backs and edges painted even where it would not show, to give them proper service life. Jason did understand this, and did see that all sides were painted. He also used a recommended primer for fiber cement products that I had not been aware of.

    Jenkins Brick & Tile Company
The contractor we are working with suggested using this company to provide the counter tops for our new kitchen. All started off well but fell apart when the quoted us how much quartz we would need and the price. The way they were going to cut the counter tops had so much waste that we had to pay for. This did not sound right so we ventured out to another place that delivers to Harris county in Newnan. They came and measured and cut the overall wasted down and cost. The kicker is they said we did not have to pay for the waste, just for the quartz we used. I like to buy local but what really turned me off when i requested the extra waste from the sales person at Jenkins they asked me why I wanted it and said it would only set in my garage. My reply was what did it matter what I wanted to do with it I paid for it. So even though I like to buy locally I would shop around to others that deiver to this area, especially since the cost savings was huge.
The original quote from Jenkins was $83 sq ft compared to what we paid $65 sq ft.

    Strong Fence
I found Strong Fence on the internet and Daniel, the owner,  was excellent.  I had 3 different people come out to provide bids for what I wanted done.  Daniels was the most reasonable for even more than what I had wanted done.  Our yard had been overtaken by weeds and it needed to be resodded.   Daniel and his crew were here everyday and worked all day.  They completed the job in about a week.  I have about 2 acres and wanted the area that was trees to be cleared out and have a nice manicured look.  They cleared out the woods, resodded the yard, front sides and back, they planted two Japanese maples and several flowers, they laid pine straw and red wood chips around the flowers.  The yard was and is the best looking yard in the neighborhood.  Two of my babies (Cats) were laid to rest in the back and Daniel took the time to make the site beautiful.  I would use them again anytime and very highly recommend them.
