    Wilson Handyman
Initial work scope review and estimate provided within 1 week of initial contact. Due to work schdules on both sides, we had a little difficulty getting a date scheduled but were finally able to get that accomplished.  An estimate, (Low/High) was agreed upon completion of estimate review.

Mr. Wilson and his crew showed up on time and prepared to get started immediately. Obviously, the homework on materials required had been done as there were no delays in proceeding with the required work.  At the end of the 1st day, 75% of the work had been completed (joist/stringer repair, subfloor replacement, and tile setting completed). By approximately 3 PM on the 2nd day, the balance of the work was completed including the installation of a new commode as the older one (approx.18 years old needed replacement due to age and recognized flaws in toilet base.

Overall, we were extremely pleased with both the quality of the work done and the time required for completion.  We now have a complete, working bathroom and I would recommend Wilson Handyman Service to others and plan to use their services again in the near future.

    BRICKER TILE & MARBLE
Most companies are quick to tell you about all of thier experince, however, the person with all of the experience is NOT the one who does the work.  This is not the case, Mr Bricker who has over 42 years of experince and laid the majority of the tile and his employee who has vast experience also laid the rest under Mr Brickers watchful eye.  They focus on the small details and do an excellent job.  I recieved several estimates and they are all the same price, but chose Mr Bricker because of his personality and experience.  He comes highly recommended by Furgeson, Rustys Floor Covering, The Tile Shop, and Sellers Tile.  Arrived on time every day, honest, and trustworthy.  One of few companies who utilize tile clips to ensure perfect edges along the tile.

    RANDY PRATHER BUILDING & REMODEL
Roger was the one who put the cabinets in and he was wonderful...he was punctual it was the cabinets were not.  The cabinets are honey maple with special cutting and finishes requested.  We did get everything we asked for.  Evidently the problem , which we were unaware of for a few weeks, was that with the special finishes and cutting we requested the person who does this was backed up on his work and if I understood correctly it required a certain type of blade.  This put a 1-2 weeks delay on the installation of the cabinets.  Noting could progress until the cabinets were in.  The backsplash, granite, sinks, etc. could not be put in until the cabinets were in, which put a hold on all of the rest of the contract workers.  At the time it was a mess to have only one working sink...in the kitchen and none in the bathrooms.  With that said I have posted pictures under Affordable Handyman, Jason Kilgore, of the finished product.  The quality, finish and look is unbelievably beautiful.  Their work is outstanding and even with the delays I would definitely use them again.  My husband look at them all the time and say "we have the best looking cabinets in Columbus, Georgia.  For fun we go to open houses and even the high end ones $500,000 and up do not have cabinets that can compare to ours. So thank you for what we consider art work.  If I can figure out how to do it again I will post pictures on their website here on Angie's list.

    Affordable Handyman Service
First , I want to truly thank Jason, who is the actual "Affordable Handyman" and his crew Darryl, Ben, Charles, Collin, and Jonathan (I'm sorry if I spelled any names wrong).  I started off by getting bids from several reputable contractors.  Even at $52,000 Jason was the least expensive and did an outstanding job.  We were fortunate enough to be able to use Kohler, Delta and/or  Moen, fixtures, which of course added to the cost rapidly.  Jason recommended the sub contractors (cabinets, granite, seamless shower door, etc.). When they were through with their part I would write a check directly to them.  Jason's costs were labor and materials.  Each week on Friday he brought all receipts for materials to me and I would pay him.  This was for things like caulk, paint, plumbing materials, and door knobs).  He collected his other money in three separate draws, with the last being when the job was completed.  I liked the way he handled this because he knew his reputation was on the line. Jason was excellent at running into town to Home Depot or Lowes to get things that were needed, which was about 20 miles one way. . I think this was partly because that's just how Jason is and partly because he knew my husband and myself are not in the best of health and it would have taken a lot out of us to be running into town all the time. After all, this was what I considered to be a big job as three bathrooms and the kitchen were gutted.  He gave me a timeline of four weeks, but I kept adding things for him to do and so all total was six weeks, which was still pretty amazing.  Also, the cabinet doors were on back order, which held things up.
He guaranteed two men on the job everyday and there were.  If he was running late for any reason, which was not often, he always called. Running a little late was generally because he had to go to Home Depot or Lowes to pick up something needed for my job.  All the guys were very respectful and cleaned up any mess at the end of the day.  I think my garage was cleaner when they left than it was before they got here. All of these guys are hard working, honest ,and want to please.  One thing very important...I trusted all of them.
I see no place on this page to insert photos...so I am going to submit the review and see if I can then insert them (I have inserted photos for other reviews)
