Arrived on time, completed repair. I was in a spot as I was leaking water and had to have it corrected quickly. It was only one call and he came out and corrected. He told me he was scheduled out several weeks but would come out. I cannot speak to price because it was a form of an emergency, I feel it was fair under the circumstances. I was impressed with the professionalism and the promptness.

Irrigation damaged by phone company burying new cable. Marilyn Russell and crew quickly identified the issue and made the repair. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. Plan on using them again soon for routine maintenance and service. Highly recommended.

Don and his team were great. First... he came out to give me a quote and he was so thorough and detailed in explaining the setup, how many heads, options for boring or digging, etc that I had to go with him. The other quotes I received just weren't as detailed as Don and he knows his stuff. Install went in well and Don came back out to meet with me and explain the system fully, additional options and just overall tremendous customer service relationship. No question, if you're looking for a sprinkler install, or service, at the right price and great quality work, then Don and his team is your best option.

The owner came out as promised within an hour of the service call. Very professional and personable. Extremely knowledgeable in all areas related to the system. Found the problem and winterized the system. Also found other items that will need to be looked at in the spring. Offered advice on money saving options. So relieved to have finally found someone with his experience and knowledge, and his cost effective and reasonable approach to repairs. Will be calling in the spring to schedule service and be placed on his regular customer list. Only wish was that we had found him sooner.

Good. Would've preferred better back filling of the line ditches, better setting of the heads, re-burial of some old cables they unearthed. Stuff like that. Just more buttoned up. Felt like they just kind of left

I've use them several times in the past with mixed results. They have always been slightly overpriced, but years ago they had generally good service. This time however was different. I signed up for a silver membership which includes a spring startup, and winterization. According to the companys bill, a spring startup involves, turning on the main water supply, rewire (connect) the controller, set programming, inspect and adjust all rotors, sprays and/or drip lines. 1) My controller is a "smart controller" controlled through the internet by computer or smartphone. This company sold it to me a year ago. It was offline and needed to be reconnected. To make a long story short, the techs did not know how to do that. So I did it. Further, some settings have changed and may not be appropriate. They didn't even look at that (set programming). 2) The techs looked at the sprinkler heads without suggesting any repairs or adjustments. But, there were a few needed. I had to point them out and individually request that they be addressed. They would have skipped them all. 3) One head needed to be replaced and another capped. They were covering the same area with too much water, and one was putting too much water on the driveway. After two tries at this repair, the new state was worse than the original. At that point they said I'd have to reschedule that work since they had been there for an hour and a half and were only scheduled for a half an hour. (Well it took around that half hour just to get the smart controller connected.) The rest went fairly quickly considering it is an 8 zone system. 4) I was somewhat displeased, so I called to speak with the manager, and that is where it got really surprising. The telephone receptionist insisted that I speak to her. I asked if she was a manager and she said no, but the owner likes her to deal with things. So, I asked to speak with the owner. She again refused. Later I got a call from someone who said he was in charge. It turned out to be the tech that had come to the house. So, as far as I can tell, there is no other manager and the owner is disinterested. My complaint is about the lazy attitude and poor quality of the work. Maybe that attitude flows down from the disinterest of the owner.

Here is the email I sent to the owner. There was no response.

I will pay the $125 to settle our business.

And, I'd like to be clear about my complaint. It just seemed that they didn't know their job or care about the quality of the work. I programmed the controller. I pointed out ALL the necessary adjustments and repairs, none of which they seemed to notice. The one head that was throwing too much water on the driveway is worse now after their two attempts at changing it. (If that was beyond the scope of "adjustments" they should have said so.)

So, for $125 they did the following: 1) Found the master valve (in the bushes, not easy to get to. [Thank you]) and verified that it was on, as I said it was.  2) Unplugged and plugged in the power to the Rachio controller. 3) Watched ME program it because they did not understand it and/or have the user name and password (available from your office, since your company installed it).  4) Walked through the yard and found everything working (and missed the one that was not).  5) Adjusted one stuck head (that I pointed out was stuck).  6) Looked at only a small fraction of the drip zone (only the areas I indicated needed work).  7) On the positive side, they did remove and cap one unneeded head. (Again, it was my observation and request.) And they did try to replace the one head in the same area that needs a different style head. (also my request)

What would they have done if I were not involved? This is not the quality work one expects from any company really, but especially one that presents itself as, "a leading company in our field". It was far short of your mission statement.

I contacted this company to schedule an appointment for a quote on fixing some irrigation problems.  The first thing he asked me was where I was located and he had a very negative attitude in expecting I was already out of his service area but in fact I am very close to him.  The gentleman on the phone was very clear that his time was precious and he didn't have time to come out and give me a free estimate like his website advertises unless I was ok with paying for a $2,000 or higher job.  He has never seen my yard and the issues I"m having so this made me very uneasy right from the start.  I tried to explain my problems with water pooling in the yard by my driveway and a water leak I have on the outside facing wall in  my basement.  He started asking about other existing french drains and started talking about problems with those clogging up and how much of a pain they are.  I tried to convey that I just bought this home recently and I don't really know what existing fixes were done here and I really just wanted him to come out and take a look and see what was here and advise me from there.  I told him if he was not ok with coming out to give me an estimate unless I've agreed to a $2,000+ job, I would have to find someone else who is willing to actually come look at my yard first.  I said I might not have a problem with a $2,000+ job if it's necessary and explained to me what really needs to be done.
My biggest problem with this guy was that he had a very negative attitude towards any of the work that I might have needed.  If you are going to provide a service to someone why aren't you saying "yes, that's something I can help you take care of" instead of searching for reasons why the job will be a nuisance.  The entire conversation was very negative and definitely rubbed me the wrong way and made it seem as if this guy only spends his time on big expensive jobs.

Extremely well. Everything went smoothly. When finished he demonstrated the system to both my wife as well as myself and did not leave until he was sure we both understood how to use the system.

It went very well.  Don and his team showed up on-time and did high quality work.  He lent a designer's eye to our house and recommended just the right amount of landscape lighting without going overboard.  He came back a few days later after we had a chance to look at the lighting at night, and we mutually agreed to add one more light.  Now it is perfect!
The sprinkler system also works well.  He added extra zones once the job started at no additional charge beyond the original quote when he realized the system needed to be slightly bigger than originally estimated.
His crew carefully picked all the rocks out of the dirt as they restored the trenches.
I was happy with his work and the bang-for-the-buck compared to the other companies who gave us estimates.  I would definitely recommend him and would use Don and "Sprinkler Solutions" again.

Wow, what a find! Thank you Angie's List, but even more important, THANK YOU DON! Service done the old fashion way, right and honest!! Sprinkler Solutions is a rare find in this world of "service providers". Don came by as promised, accessed the issue(s), gave me a honest diagnostic, and went to work after getting my approval. He worked on a much neglected system tenaciously, all day, while I was at work. Temps in the high 90's didn't stop his zest to complete the job as promised, on budget, as if it was his own home. I was truly impressed and would highly recommend this honest, hard working man to keep your irrigation system up to speed. He even is licensed to do annual inspections of systems as required in some GA counties. I was genuinely pleased with his work acumen, honesty, ability to listen to my concerns, and get the job done right the first time. If you want peace on mind when hiring a irrigation contractor, Don Russell (Sprinkler Solutions in Peachtree City) is the person for the job. I have been in the service industry for over 30 years and I stand by my review. Thanks again Don!!
