Dr. Thomas has wonderful bedside manner. He is clearly well educated in chiropractic and his office has all of the latest means of examining and adjusting the spine as well as a therapy room with roller/vibration tables. He gave me a thorough evaluation which included a full set of x-rays and 2 desperate scans performed all performed in the office. The billing has been a breeze and they let me pay at the end of the week for any visits I had that week. The cost has been very reasonable, but my insurance does cover some of the cost. His staff are always friendly, and they already know me by my name. All of my adjustments have been pleasant and even after just 4 adjustments I feel significantly better. Dr. Thomas described his goal for me as getting to a point where I do not rely on him for wellness. This is very refreshing because I have had some chiropractors in the past who seemed to want me in there as frequently as possible for the money. Dr. Thomas is very reasonable and considerate and seems to genuinely want me well. My boyfriend is planning to start coming here after how positively I have spoken of Dr. Thomas, and I would refer him to anyone in search of pain relief and general wellness.

    Humber, Dr. Thomas M.
When I first came to this practice, I was the biggest skeptic--so much that I told them so on my first visit. I only went to them to fulfill a promise to a dying friend. I had been to numerous other chiropractors, some good and some not so good, but I had been to an atlas orthogonal chiropractor before, and didn't get much help at all, so yes, I was skeptical.
The interesting thing was that my main problem was in my hip area, but after doing an evaluation of me along with x-rays, Dr. Humber informed me that my neck was the second-worst neck he'd ever seen! I am a dentist, see, so I was constantly bending over and tilting my head down to do my work, and that's why taking care of my back and neck is so vital. He then proceeded to adjust my neck ONLY! And what is VERY important to note is that when they adjust the neck, they NEVER JERK YOUR HEAD AROUND. In fact, you hardly feel the adjustment at all! In fact, you might feel like you have been "cheated," it is that much of a non-event. But trust me, it is NOT a non-event.
However, I didn't feel that immediate "AHHHH" that I would often feel after having the more-traumatic head twisting adjustment that other chiropractors gave me. (Those would make me feel better immediately, but invariably, I would need to have it done again every week, sometimes more than once per week.) Instead, I was given instructions and told to return after two days. And note, he didn't even adjust my hip on that first visit. I pointed this out to him at the end of my visit, "Hey, I hurt HERE!" pointing to my hip. His response was that if my neck adjustment doesn't hold, my hip adjustment wouldn't do much good, but that he would begin working on it at the next visit so long as my neck adjustment held. Now, as a skeptic, you can imagine what was going through my mind: "Oh, here we go!"
But after 2 days, my neck adjustment held and so he began to work on my back and hip. It turned out my back was REALLY messed up! It is also important to note that the way they adjust the back is sometimes the least-traumatic adjustment ever. They don't jump on you. They don't jerk you...unless that type of adjustment works better for you (it does for me now, but it probably wasn't the best idea then). They gently roll you back and forth--very little force used. When they started working on my back, that's when I started to feel better, but it still took 3 more visits to finally get my back fully-adjusted. That's what it takes when you've got the second-worst neck!
I have been a faithful patient of Dr. Tom Kirk--Dr. Humber's partner--for over 10 years. It didn't take long for them to help me to understand how much pain I had really been living with for so many years and how bad my neck really was, because they took the pain away. I now go to their office roughly 2 times per month, mostly for maintenance--I'm still a dentist after all. But I am now able to feel when that pain begins to return, and I take care of myself BEFORE I get into a crisis situation, and my life and my work are so much better now because of it. Rarely do I ever need my neck adjusted now--maybe 2-3 times per year at most, a testament to how well their necks adjustments work.
A few words of warning though: They are not the cheapest chiropractors around. The best usually are not the cheapest. But THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY! Also, there are visits when the wait is longer than I might experience at other offices. THEY ARE WORTH THE WAIT! The relief you get can be immediate, but as in my case it may NOT be immediate. But if you are looking for LONG-TERM relief, there are none better that I have found. And if you LIKE having your head jerked around as a means to adjust your neck, you might leave their office unfulfilled, because they will not do that--and for very good reasons! The atlas adjustment is more stable long-term. From someone having had it both ways, this way is FAR better, but it can take more than one visit to realize that--tough for the skeptical. True nonetheless.
As a medical practitioner, I can tell you that these guys know more about the neck that ANY chiropractor I know. It is NOT insignificant that Dr. Tom Kirk was awarded Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractor of the Year for 2012! They truly are the best! If you are looking for the best around Atlanta, your search is over.
P.S. My father, who lives in the Detroit area, goes to see Tom Kirk every time he comes down to visit us. He also agrees that Tom is the best. He can't find anyone better in Detroit either.

    Marceca Chiropractic Center
He's been able to not have surgery which is a blessing. I'm a nurse so I knew he had to have a surgery by seeing all the x-rays and everything. And what he's done for us has been just superb. In the meanwhile we recommended about 5-6 people who have serious problems and everyone going to him is so pleased. One lady is not even using her cane anymore. So I think that really is something and she has been an excellent and sensible woman. She has had an excellent care. My husband totally had to have surgeries, he had got some injections and all that stuff. But he was frightened when he heard the depth of the surgery and he said I've got to try something different. So he opted to go to Dr. Marceca. His bedside manner is good, he remembers all of his patients, and he's extremely professional. He's quite a lovely person and he truly cares. And then if you recommend someone, he always sends you a thank you note to let you know that he's happy you recommended him. I wasn't easy to deal with being an old nurse and I'm really serious. We have always thought chiropractic was not true and awful. I may have to go to him too because I have a severe arthritis on my right hip and left knee. I'm on medication so I decided the next thing I have to do is see Dr. Marceca.

    Marceca Chiropractic Center
Dr. Marceca helped me avoid surgery. If I hadn't gone to him I'd be walking around with rods and screws in my back. Currently, my spine is excellent. I truly can't say enough good things about him. I find him to be very caring. He seems to be rather committed to providing great health care to whoever he sees. I've probably referred at least six people to this gentleman.

This chiropractor and his wife are horrible! He slapped my 18 mo. old daughter in my presence. I refused to go back to him even though my husband had a single contract. We did not have a family contract. We hired an attorney because he filed a law suit against us for not paying after he slapped our child. He tied to sue us for $2200. For the family contract but we never signed one. So we settled out of small claims for the $900 for what my husband's cotract was jsut to get him off our back. His wife wrote me nasty letters. She is also a chiropractor. She said how fat I was and chastised the way I ate. She is a strict vegan. I would not send my cat to go and see them. They are all about money he drive fancy cars and has 6 children and his oldest daughter has horses at two stables he has to pay for plus her college. He drives a Mercedes and had a BMW before that. So he is all about money. Plus he thinks he can cure everything just by adjusting your back. One time I had bacterial pneumonia and he said to just keep coming in to get adjusted. Well I ended up in the ER not being able to breathe. Sorry chiro does not cure everything. He admits in his letter that he slapped my child.
