Glenn and Steve were instrumental in ensuring, despite the rain, that our project was on track and completed to our satisfaction in one day! It was obvious that the hard-working expert crew knew what they had to do to get the job done, and we are pleased!

    Spoke to contractor. He said he would refund 1 ticket and call me back to schedule appointment. Refund never got credited to my account and he still hasn't called me back. I am in the process of working with Angie's list to take care of concern.

    Booking the appoimtment was fast and easy. The office manager listened to what I needed done and gave me a rough estimate of time and cost. She explained to me that 2 hours sounded about right for the work I needed and said if it did happen to go over, I'd be charged $55 per additional hour-which was fine. I was able to have an appointment the next day. The owner of ZIA Home Repair came out 10 minutes before our appointment. He was very polite and trustworthy. I took advantage of their special offer. $79 for two hours worth of handyman service. The owner was very efficient and easy to talk to while he was working. I told him about a few other projects I need done in the future and he gave me some very helpful tips. He cleaned up as he went and asked if I approved of what he completed before he went to the next task. I felt very comfortable the entire time and I will be using this company again.

    It started out well, with Randy telling me he could do the job and to just give him till the next week where his schedule opens up (call made on Feb 3rd 2015).
    I advised my tenants that Randy would be getting in contact with them to schedule a day for the deck repair. About 4 days after I told them this, my tenants contacted me stating that no one called them and I contacted Randy again. He mentioned that it slipped his mind and that he would get in contact with them before the weekend. The following week I get a email stating that after mapping out the property its out of his service area, mind you I told Randy when we spoke, where the property was and he said he serviced the area and on top of that, on Angies, there are 7 other members that have had work done within 5 miles of my property.
    I would say find someone else who is a little more reputable and professional. Organization is key in providing quality work and this company is still trying to reach higher standards, you can find those standards without going thru the hassle of thinking you've found a good company and you didn't.

    I have used this Handyman in the past, so you'll easily see this isn't some off the wall review, since its coming from someone who has had a great experience up until this situation.
    Back in 2014 Sep 30th, their tech Brent tried to cheat/steal money from me by double charging me for a simple door repair. He went from a fee of $450 for 3 1/2 hrs of work, to $365 and when I asked for him to send me the products which would cost so much, he said let me call you back. The tech never called me back but the Office manager Louanne did with a quote of $241 for the job, which sounded more inline with what I thought. Now, this office manager was to set the appt with my tenants but because my tenant didnt get back to them, they never let me know and days are just passing by without an appt date. I had to email about no appt being set and this is where I got the owner Mike Carney involved thru email. The office manager didnt like this at all, I take it, by the why she has treated me, since.
    On to the Downtrend:
    Normally, when a tech is at my property I'm contacted by the tech before they begin work, no one called me. I'm normally sent a invoice after work is completed but this also didnt occur and I emailed to find out if work was done and when would I receive the invoice. The nasty office manager sent me a invoice thru email with a nasty salutation and for what reason? Because I contacted the owner, to tell him how as a previous customer the quality of customer service is taking a serious hit? Because, I reported to the owner that a tech tried to over charge me and the office manager didn't seem to have a issue with it? From this incident Mr. Carney told me to contact him directly, if I have any issues going forward and i said ok. Mind you... Mr. Carney (the owner) also mentioned to me that he has had communication issues with Brent as well.
    So, in Nov  26th 2014, I made an appointment  with Handyman to repair my deck, the office folks (all of a sudden) lost all my contact info, address etc, so I found that odd being this is like my 6th job request but whatever. I was greeted coldly by a normally warm phone person by the name of Vanessa, who now seemed irritated that I was on the phone and was very short with me in commentary, which wasn't her normal character (see previous reviews to see my comments on how outstanding Vanessa was to me). Vanessa told me there wasn't a open date until Jan 19th 2015 and that she would set an appt with my tenants.
    I emailedMr. Carney to tell him that, on Jan 13th it seems no appt was set and out of nowhere the tech actually wasn't booked till Jan19th like I was told back in Nov (I guess they thought i'd get someone else to do the work...not). It seems a office person left a message for my tenant and when my tenant called back, no one picked up, so she left a message and no one ever contacted her again and she called another day. After all this back and forth with no follow-up from Handyman, it seems now the tech, I wanted was booked thru Feb and 1st available was now March 3rd, which was simply amazing to me. All of this, I found out on Jan 29th and I originally contacted them on Jan 13th. I emailed Mr. Carney because I wanted to find out if the tech was really booked up thru Feb and you know Mr. Carney's response, sorry it seems we're not able to service your needs. WOW, what a great response to a customer that's been given the run around for over 3 months. This company treats ppl horribly when you expose someone in their office for the disrespectful or dishonest ppl they are.
    You can find better than a company that treats Angies member in such a way, when all we want to do is get reliable and professional ppl to do work. There is no accountability with this company, since the owner gave a clear message to his workers, you guys can treat the customer like trash, if you want, it doesn't mean anything.
    Don't waste your time with this company and their rude office manager.

    I called on Thursday for a leak in my toilet that was getting worse.  I spoke with Michael.  He worked with my work schedule and came right out that following Saturday.  The team arrived when they said they would and called before coming over. 

    Michael asked for details on what the issue was, they checked it out for themselves, and then gave me an estimate.  They were able to fix the issue during same visit....had parts with them and everything.

    The entire experience was seamless.  I often run into the issue of providers wanting to just fix the issue without giving quotes or not taking time to breakdown and explain what needs to be done.  Michael answered all of my questions with no problem.

    I really appreciate the quick turnaround and friendly customer service.  I haven't had an issue with toilet since.

    A Frame Home Repair
    The posts on the fence were broken and the fence was leaning.  The fence was originally put up backwards so he had to work between  two fences. He removed the leaning porton of the fence, re-dug the post holes and  braced the fence up so that the cement could dry.   He was prompt in arriving and competed the task in less than 2 hours. I already have plans to use A Frame Repair again.

    They arrived on time. He even supplied the products which was my responsibility. I didn't know what to buy so they took care of it for me. They did a professionals on and even gave me some tips on painting the spot. I was very pleased with their professionalism.
