Amazing kitchen remodel. Everything is perfect. Pedro's craftmanship is incredible. He finished ahead of schedule and his attention to detail is superb. This remodel is better than anything you'd ever see on HGTV. He makes great suggestions, listens, uses top notch materials and every detail is wonderful. His demo of a wall was done with literally NO mess, and to do a complete kichen gut, wall demo and rebuild in 4 weeks is amazing. His price is fair and he not only builds great custom cabinets but did all the other work - electrical, plumbing, floors, etc. Plain and simple - don't even think of calling anyone else - use Hdez for your remodel.

Installing the door was no easy task. Both the door and the frame are nonstandard. They're not even truly square. Randy had to be creative to make it all work. I am happy with the results. I am not very articulate when it comes to explaining what I trying to do as far as remodeling. I do not know now the correct terminology (I need to watch more This Old House.) But Randy was able to decipher what I wanted/needed. The door frame molding turned out just the way I saw it in my head. I rated Randy a "N/A" on responsiveness mostly because he is too much in demand. I do not want this to count against him. I had a hard time getting on his schedule because so many other people hired him. He's that good.

The project overall went as one with a home built in 1930 would except. Lot's of surprises when walls were opened up! Let's start with each.

Master bath - The first day, the crew ripped out the old bath only to find a leaky roof, terrible plumbing. wood rot and just a jacked up mess. Barbaro was good in that he kept me from burning down the place. We worked through all the issues, including removing an existing window, installing all new plumbing, electrical, roof (separate contractor), changed the height of the floor, tile and frameless shower. This was a tough job. In the end, it looks fantastic.

Downstairs bath - Oh yes more issues. Entire subfloor, framing, electrical, plumbing all were replaced. We kept the original tub and trashed everything else. Changed the existing ugly 1970's style bathroom back to a period look with new tile, sink, toilet, etc. Could not be happier with how it turned out.

Kitchen - Complete gut to the studs. This time the subfloor was OK thank god. Installed all new plumbing, electrical, exhaust, laid a very complex stone floor, recessed lighting, under cabinet lighting and a good amount of receptacles. Went from dysfunctional and ugly to a place I now do not mind cooking in!

All fixtures such as tile, cabinets, appliances, most lighting, etc., were supplied by me. Barbaro's sub's were excellent! All polite and cleaned up - no issues. His project manager Aristotle was great and we had good banter over the several months of work.

Although not the cheapest nor most expensive, I felt good hiring Adapted Living Spaces and would do so in the future. His work comes with a 12 month warranty. I will be using this to remedy some settling issues with the grout and will update on how this was handled in a future update.

I contacted the company by phone to schedule an appointment.  The representative, Ruben came to the house at the scheduled time.  We did an initial 'walk around' together, and then I left him to do what was required to prepare the proposal.  When he was finished, we sat together and we went through the proposal line by line.  The proposal included information about the areas to be painted, the number of coats of paint, the type and color of paint, primer, price, and so on, down to the most minute detail.  The price included pressure washing.   I hired the company on the spot for a couple of reasons.  First, I was impressed with Ruben's professionalism; second, the price was competitive.  I would like to say, however, that Ruben's professionalism trumped that of the competition and I would have hired Riverside even if their price was not competitive.

The Riverside Painting workers began work early each morning. They focused on the tasks inherent in the job, and worked consistently to complete them.  They finished the job within the scheduled period, and the exterior of the house looks wonderful.  Our family is pleased!

We will use the company again, and will recommend them to relatives and friends.

I can't say enough good  things about Kevin and his outstanding crew. Kevin worked with me due to our ever changing weather. Always emailing me, etc. So how did it go?
Kevin came on Friday and pressure washed the house, concrete and deck. What an amazing job and no damage to my lawn or shrubs. He was very careful and detailed. When he returned the next week to replace the rotted wood, rebuild the deck rails and replace warped boards, paint and seal the deck, I expected this to be a week long job. There was quite a bit of work. I came home the first day of actual start of the job and Kevin and his crew had almost finished everything! My jaw dropped. These guys busted thier butts all day. By day two he was finished!
I waited a while to write this just to make sure all work stood up. I am very pleased to say his work is outstanding! If you want quality, with attention to detail and a very fair price, Kevin is your man. I will use him when I need my house painted outside or inside in the future.

Marc was the only company that listened to my concerns and explained the process in full.  He was not trying to upsell me.  We had a conversation and exchange of ideas.  What a fresh approach!  He walked the property with me and was the only company that did.  He explained in detail the difference in each sample right down to the type of coil wrap would be used to the type of caulking and the reason why.
On the install day, Marc and his crew showed up right on time and went to work.  I was impressed at how they worked as a team, each doing their job as the process moved forward.  If I requested a slight change or modification, they accomodated the request without hesitation.
I must point out that they faced a huge challenge in the bathroom.  My home was built in 1930 and the sill and sub sill in the bathroom had rotted to almost nothing.  I was consulted and we discussed options to set the window so the tile guys could surround the new window without having a future issue with a sill in the tub area.  A shout out to Jeremy who spent the better part on one hour plus rebuliding the sill.  He did a great job.
These guys worked from 8 am to 8 pm.  They had a long and hot day.  They were careful while inside and outside my home.  They cleaned up all areas and you could not tell they were here when they left.  I want to point out that every one of Marc's crew was polite and did not mind answering and explaining any questions I had.
They finished up some trim work on Saturday and again Marc let me know they would show up at 1 pm and they did.  Jeremy and Nick knocked out the remaining work in an hour or so.  I am so pleased with the job and how the finished product looks.  My neighbors still stop me when I am out front to complement how great the house looks.  The best part is I get to enjoy my new windows and I will not be freezing this winter from the 80 plus year old windows!

Randy provided an initial estimate to tape, plaster and sand new drywall that was just hung as part of a renovation.  He was punctual and up front with his estimate not to mention both fair and reasonable in his pricing.  Based on reviews, his pricing and the location (in our neighborhood) we hired Randy.   We have a 70+ year old home that was in the middle of renovation.  Our experience has been that nothing is 'standard' in homes that are that old and adjustments are often necessary.  Randy handled everything with ease and no complications.  His estimate was accurate and in the end never asked for a dime more.  He was great with his scheduling, punctual and great about communicating (Do not hesitate to text or email, if he is on a job and working sometimes that's his easiest way to respond!).  In fact, he called one afternoon to let us know he was stuck in a traffic due to an accident on the interstate.  Obviously outside of his control, he kept us updated and arrived in time to complete the work that was scheduled for that day.   The job we hired him for involved sanding of drywall and Randy was great about sealing off the remainder of the house for us, venting the work space to help diminish the dust and then cleaning up after himself each and every time.  In the end we hired him to do some window and trim work for us as well since we were so pleased with his performance.  ABSOLUTELY trust worthy and all around great person.

Randy came out the same day that I called him to rescue me from a bad experience with another general contractor.  He provided a complete, fair estimate with a promise to show up at 8:00 a.m. on the next business day.  He was actually early and started to work on the project in my driveway.  Randy pointed out things that my former contractor missed that I did not notice while offering to repair those items.  He worked through 3 days to provide the finished look to my bathroom with the attention to detail that was missing.  Randy delivered on everything he said he would without delay or sacrificing quality.  I would definitely hire Randy to complete any handyman project.

As any diligent consumer should,  I contacted three separate companies for quotes.  After meeting with the first two, not getting a return call from one, and not being satisfied with the method for which one was planning to install the windows, I did a bit more research and contacted Marc.  My partner and I could not have been happier with his presentation, knowledge and commitment to his product and service.  First impressions are everything, and when Marc walked in the house with his business license, and two huge stacks of references I knew that he meant business...good business.  He walked us through the same info that the other companies had provided, but his keen attention to detail and his honesty was unmatched. When asked if he would be on site for the install he said..."Oh yes, I even clean your windows myself". His family owns The Tompkins Company which manufactures some of the windows that he sells, and I thought that this was a really nice extra to his already convincing sales pitch.  We decided to talk about things and asked Marc to return at a later date, which he did and we signed the paperwork to begin the work.  Unlike other companies, Marc only required 30% down, which in this cash strapped economy, was a welcomed bonus.  Three weeks was the time frame he gave us, and he delivered as promised.  He called to confirm the appt. and knowing that I had recently had major surgery, he seemed to be concerned that the timing was right for me seeing as I was recovering.  His team showed up right on time at around 7:45am and got right to work.  In no time, the windows were installed.  Throughout the day, neighbors dropped by and admired the work, took his card and seemed very impressed with his workmanship.  At around 2:30pm he were in.  I eagerly rushed home to find that our home looked brand new!  Just marvelous and we could not be happier.  The guys had placed all of our furniture back where it belonged, restored the blinds, everything was neat and clean as though they had never been there.  We are still needing to replace three back windows, and our backyard apartment windows as well as some gutter work.  Marc is the only person that will do the job.  As a matter of fact,  good friends of ours around the corner took our advice and just signed a contract with Marc for their windows.  He is a class act...and my partner and I think that he is simply the best.  Being homeowners for only two years, we have been burned a bit by handy men and such...its nice to know that we finally have someone in our corner.  Marc and MWT are the BEST.  You cannot go wrong with him.
