    A Advanced Chimney Service
I don't understand why this company is still here. I paid ~3000 for fixing leak, but leak has been actively for over 5 years and Denise's company constantly came out for over 20 times, but they never fixed the leak problem but blamed its roof problem. After taking money from you, Denise was good at finding excuses and blamed others. Stay away from this company if you don't want to get into what I experienced with Denise.

    Charity Chimney Sweeps
We had bad leaks around one of our chimneys. When Allen came out to do an estimate, he just looked at the photos and made the correct diagnosis, which was confirmed later by our insurance adjuster. Our chimney was built not to the standard at first place and therefore had been leaning and leaking for a long time. In the past years, we had spent thousands of dollars on fixing the "roof" and not been alerted to the chimney problem. Allen offered to rebuild the faulted top with a life-time warranty.
Therefore, although the quote from the Charity Chimney Sweeps was definitely not the cheapest among the estimates we requested, we went ahead with Allen. He worked with us on the contract for several rounds. The price came down closer to other offers but with better warranty.
Throughout the repair process, Allen remained to be courteous, responsive and quality-oriented. The job was well done and in a timely manner, as allowed by weather condition. He also made sure that the cleaning afterwards was done properly.
After our chimney was repaired, we had rain in the area and yeah, there is no more leak!
We are so far very happy with this contractor, especially Allen. Nice guy to work with. I have also recommended him to my friends.

    The Mad Hatter Service Co
Matt and Andrew were prompt and very professional. They carefully moved furniture, covered rugs, protected flooring, wore booties inside the house, and then put everything back when they were done.

Of the 6 fireplaces in the house, 3 had pilot lights with gas log sets, 1 had a gas log set and the other 2 were wood-burners with a gas starter. On the pilot light sets, they removed and cleaned the glass doors, removed and cleaned the logs, vacuumed out dust, checked fittings and valves for leaks, checked the switches and explained to me how everything worked, including how to re-ignite the pilot, turn everything off and on, etc. I had asked about a potential leak at a switch for one of the pilot-operated fireplaces, and Matt checked the chimney at the roof and made recommendations for follow-up with the roofer for a potential minor flashing issue.

The main gas log set in the family room was inspected and cleaned as well; they removed the logs and the old, crappy looking "ember" material and replaced with updated materials. Prior to their visit, it looked like a fake log fireplace with "insulation" it appears more like real logs, with more realistic looking embers that don't look like R 19 fell from the chimney and landed on the logs. Very pleased with how that one turned out; exceeded expectations.

The basement wood-burners were also inspected; the previous owner told us he used one of the fireplaces "every day"...well, he clearly never had it cleaned. EVER. After getting huge piles of creosote out of the flue, Matt recommended a follow-up chemical cleaning as the video inspection still showed caked on creosote in the flue. He also advised not to burn wood in that fireplace until further cleaning could be done due to the potential fire hazard. I had a feeling that fireplace was going to be bad (based on other lack-of-routine-maintenance things we discovered after purchasing the home), but not that bad.

As other reviewers had mentioned, the cost of these services is not inexpensive. However, it was well worth the price to learn the proper operation of all fireplaces in the house (since they are gas appliances), as well as gaining the peace of mind that comes with knowing they are in good working order. Highly recommend.

I Purchased the "Big Deal" for Chimney Sweeping & Inspection. The technician (i think it was Van Davis) was right on time. There was some scheduling issue due to some family emergency with them but they communicated and rescheduled as per my availability. I was not sure when the chimney was last cleaned/swept. Van did an excellent job. He offered me some valuable suggestions and tips about operating our gas fireplace. He also inspected the rooftop area as well. Found out an issue with the coating done by a pest control company.
Overall I was very satisfied with Hearthmaster.

    Artech Roofing & Construction LLC
About five years ago we had a bad roof leak from a previously botched roof job that required repairing
the plywood under the shingles to stop leaking into the attic and down into a
bedroom. When Artech Roofing and Construction arrived they assessed the problems
and gave me a very fair price compared to other contractors. The other
contractors pushed for selling me a whole new roof which we could not afford.
The work was done promptly and properly and they also replaced 3 vent boots.
    In September we had another
very bad leak that semi-flooded our living room. Again, other contractors
wanted to replace the entire roof. Artech arrived and thoroughly assessed the
problem. Again they gave me a very fair price for fixing the valley. This time
I asked them for a price for a complete tear-off and new roof. I was surprised
they gave me such a very competitive price compared to 3 others.
    When Yilber Velasco, the
company owner, examined the interior damage from the leak, he told me that my
homeowners insurance might cover the damage. He  informed me that they could do that work as
well as they are licensed general contractors as well. Yilber worked
collaboratively with my insurance company to inspect and consider the damage.
    Throughout the various
steps of the process, he and his crews worked politely, efficiently, and with
perfection from the roof, gutters, soffits and fascia down to all the inside
work, always leaving at the day with cleaning up so that we could continue with
our normal lives. Patricia, Yilber?s wife and co-owner worked so well with my
wife in choosing colors, patterns, etc. She patiently worked with my wife as
they collaboratively sorted through a multitude of options. My wife stated that
she felt she ?found a missing sister.? Patricia steadfastly focused on getting
the floor transitions to be a perfect blend between floors. No minor details
were left without insuring we were totally satisfied.
    After the roof was so
beautifully done, we decided to replace several windows. Again Artech provided
the solution with a top rated brand of energy efficient windows at a price so
affordable that we replaced the entire house for a price of a handful of other
brand name windows. When the installers sealed the windows with the copping and
special caulk that could not be painted to blend with the exterior paint. Although
we did not complain about the original install, Yilber and Patricia sensed that
we were not totally thrilled and insisted that copping and caulk be changed.
Patricia had them return to replace the copping and caulk at their own expense,
again insuring that we were totally satisfied. We are thrilled with the result.
    Patricia and Yilber?s
crews were all very friendly, and always focused on getting every detail right
for our approvals. The experience of working with them over the last few months
(roof, sub-roof, soffits, fascia, gutters, inside ceilings, floors, walls, painting
and windows) were all completed in timely and meticulous fashion. We have never
had such delightful (yes delightful) experience with contractors!
    If you want fair highly
competitive pricing, accurate descriptions of every detail of the work, crews
that are non-invasive and willing to go that extra bit for your complete
satisfaction, we highly recommend Artech Roofing and Construction.

    Housworth Roofing & Construction Inc
The work was done over about a three week period.  It went pretty smoothly.  All the work looks great, and seems well done.  The master carpenter, Lupe, did very nice work on the front porch, retaining wall/steps, and fence.
There were a couple of minor spots where they had to come back and touch up the trim paint around a window, which they did promptly when I pointed it out.  There was minor damage to some bushes around the house, which is understandable since the bushes were badly overgrown.  They did a pretty good job of cleaning up after themselves and pressure-washed the concrete driveway.

Had a hole in my roof that I could see from inside the house (my insurance adjuster showed me). Called my insurance company first. They came out and suggested I get someone to patch the hole around my chimney. Called several roofing companies. This was the only company that agreed with my insurance company. One company actually pulled off one of the shingles to show me that I needed to have my roof replaced. My insurance company gave me a report on the roof damage and an estimate to repair. This was the only company that agreed with the insurance company's report. I did not discuss this with him prior and still didn't after i hired him. He was professional and courteous. If I needed help again with my roof I would use this company again..

The experience was excellent overall. The technician was terrific; he was very personable and good at what he did. Their price was reasonable. In fact, we’ve called them again to do work at another home that we have. It was a good fit!

    The Roof Lady
I discovered The Roof Lady by accident at a community event. By then Id already received several estimates from big-name roofing companies. My wife and I have had prior bad experiences with contracted projects. I tend to avoid contractors without word-of-mouth referrals and strong reputations. But, I decided to accept one more quote as a sanity-check against the company I was leaning toward. Of all the roof inspectors I spoke with, Kats impressed me the most. He explained roof construction issues to a level of detail beyond the others. Other inspectors wouldnt look for roof damage after not noticing collateral damage. Kats inspector was the only one to suggest that I did have storm related damage and should file a claim. I had no problem with the insurance claim. The Roof Lady instructed me how to handle everything. After Kats inspector met with the adjuster, the adjuster suggested that if the claim was rejected I should appeal. I think The Roof Ladys inspector also impressed my insurance adjuster! The roofers were professional and courteous. Detailed pictures were taken of all roof-decking rot and related damage to document the repairs. The roof is beautiful and better than new.
