    I called Preston around 1:45 in the afternoon, he came to my house within 15 minutes and repaired my leaking fridge all within an hour and fifteen minutes. I gladly paid him especially since he also let me of a repair I may need in the future without pressuring me into getting the repair done the same day. I will be calling Preston when that part needs replacing.

    Apparently we had a difficult to install situation so it took a while and he had to improvise a bit. But he got the job done, for which we were very appreciative because we had Home Depot installers already try and fail to install three times and we were beyond frustrated. Very pleased with the service.

    Everyone involved in the purchase and installation of our new HVAC unit--from the first person who came to the house and determined which unit was best for our house, to the installers, to the people who answer the phones--has been awesome to work with. I can't say enough good things about Howard Air. Very professional. Very pleasant to work with. Most important: this unit has been so much better--more comfortable, and more quiet--than the unit it replaced that we got several years back from one of Howard Air's competitors. We will have Howard Air replace our 2nd HVAC unit when the time comes.

    Sears Appliance Repair
    Sears Appliance Repair misdiagnosed the problem the first visit and ordered the wrong part. The second visit, the tech blamed the first tech and ordered a new part. The third and fourth visits they didn't even show for the appointment, despite the fact that they called to confirm (multiple) times. The last time I even called directly and spoke with customer service to make sure they were coming. They confirmed they would be there in the service window. But, like the prior time, no one showed. When you called customer service, no one is empowered to do anything about it. Instead, they offered me a fifth try at disappointment and a 20 percent off coupon. Hardly, compensation for the four afternoons of work I missed.

    Throughout the interaction, they were aggressive and hostile. Then when the second drain pump didn't work, they informed me that they would not be coming back out and that they would issue me a refund which I have yet to receive. UPDATE: It has now been two weeks and I have still not received the refund that I was promised. UPDATE: Subsequently, I was informed that no such refund would be coming.

    I love the Appliance Doctor. He have used them a couple times and I would recommend them. The price was reasonable. I like them because it's a small operation and they know what their doing. One employee came and it took him about an hour and he left the area very clean.

    Great! They responded by phone quickly. Got the part info, and replaced it in 2 days perhaps they could have done it in 1 if we had been home. The repairman explained everything, and it turned out more complex than we thought. Good folks!

    It is Fixed Appliance Repair
    The technician determined that it needed a new water valve. He had problems figuring out which part to order. We gave him a deposit of $149 for the part. After several weeks and phone calls he called us back and said that he could not determine which part to order and could not complete the job. I agreed and asked to be refunded the deposit. It is now three weeks later and despite more phone calls we have not received the deposit. It appears that we will have to go to small claims court to get it back.

    Lighting Appliance Service came to our house the same day as we called, very responsive. A technician spent some time to verify that the pump had indeed gone bad, and then had a replacement pump ready to go in his car. He replaced it quickly and everything worked as expected after that. You can get the part for $150, so the labor price was a little on the steep side for 15 mins of diagnosing, and then 5 mins to replace the part, but at least they delivered quickly.
