    Lar Con Construction Inc
Larry is great to work with. Our recent home repair started with Larry finding a leak in our plumbing in the crawl space that he took care of without a problem. And saved me from having to scramble and find a plumber to come in and fix things up. Larry did a great job reinforcing the floor. After pouring some footers he added a beam to the over extended floor joists to add stability in preparation of replacing the carpet with wood grained tiles. Larry also repaired some of the floor joists that had split over time due to being too long. I'll definitely use Larry for any other projects that might come up around the house.

    Lar Con Construction Inc
Larry came out to look at the job of a basement remodel and immediately noticed the beam issue before we said anything. We decided at this time to just fix the support structure. We eventually want a wall under one beam but we wanted to leave the other part of the room open. Larry came out and used jacks to straighten out the beams and then built a wall under the one beam that will be finished in a future job and then braced and supported the open beam.He used an LVL beam the proper size and length and built up the column to make the house sound again. Very knowledgeable and we would highly recommend Lar-Con.

    Wingfield Carpentry
Hal Wingfield is a master carpenter and hands down the best contractor I've worked with in a very long time. Imagine this... a contractor doing what they say they are going to do... I know... crazy right. Hal was super professional, very punctual and extremely detailed. His pace and work/life balance was great and the project was finished on time and on budget. Image that once again... a project finishing on time and on budget. People reading this review are going to think I'm related, but I assure you I'm not. I simply took a chance on Angie's List like the rest of you and I scored. I'm a real estate investor and my #1 goal for 2016 is to find the right people to take my business to the next level. Hal has give me hope that decent contractors actually exist and he's filling the carpentry void with my business as long as he wants to. We will certainly keep him busy so be patient and we'll let you borrow him from time to time. haha kidding of course.
Lastly, thank you Hal! You've been a pleasure to work with, learn from and just to chat with. I'd like to think (maybe we'll need another project or so) that we have become friends through this process and finally I want to thank you for your patience with me, as I know I can be a pain in the a**. What a great experience. You've greatly enhanced our lives. Take care sir and keep exceeding expectations as I know you will.

    Blue Marlin Construction LLC
It was terrible. They did not complete all the work that was stated on the contract. They were still trying to charge me for something that was not complete. They added more stuff even before the initial work was complete. They lied to me. They said they completed the doors but did not do anything with the doors. Everything was incomplete. I went to court with them for negligence.

    Wingfield Carpentry
We contacted several vendors to provide quotes for our deck remodeling project. Wingfield Carpentry was not our first call, but Hal Wingfield was certainly our last call.  My husband and I were both so pleased with Hal.  He came to our home and listened so attentively to all that my husband and I said we wanted out of this project.
We had an issue with our back deck from where we had vinyl siding added to our home eighteen years ago. The vinyl siding was not installed properly around our deck stairs and we did not feel that we had any other choices about how this project would play out, because the siding had been contoured around the existing stairs.  We hated how that installation had been completed. Not to mention our stairs had settled since the siding was installed and they looked terrible.  We knew we would never to happy with our stairs, but that was not what we asked of Hal.
We wanted to have the back deck enlarged from the 10x10 to a 12x16,  and we were going to leave the stairs where they were and just build out beside them.  Although, that was not what we really wanted. Again, we did not feel we had a choice as we had already met with several other vendors and they never offered any other solutions. Each vendor just agreed we did not have any other choices.  They were only giving us exactly what we asked for.
Not Hal, he is such a perfectionist!  He gave us so much more than we ever expected out of this project. He gave us a custom designed deck to fit our home and our needs. He knew he could provide us with exactly what we really wanted. He built out the full 12x16 area, tore down the old stairs and built new stairs and a landing.  He fixed the siding and it looks wonderful. We have such a beautiful and enjoyable deck and those ugly stairs that we hated so much are gone for good.
Hal is so personable, he's professional, he listens and I mean, he really listens. Hal Wingfield is a true Master Artisan. The attention to detail for a simple deck rebuilt was amazing.  Hal's Craftsmanship is top notch. Hands down, if you need a deck built or rebuilt, Hal Wingfield is the only call you need to make.
When we started our back deck project, we only intended to have our front stairs and banister removed and rebuilt.  By the time Hal was through building the back deck, I told my husband that I could not bare to leave our front porch as it was.  Our back deck looked to perfect for the front porch to not match completely.  It was all due to Hal's attention to details.  At that time,
we asked Hal to tear off the front porch and rebuild it as well. All I can say is AMAZING!
On a side note, just to give others who are thinking of doing a deck project one extra tip. If we were to ever build or rebuild a new deck in the future, we would pay extra to obtain a prime grade wood.  There are a lot of knots in our deck wood that are not doing so well as they are aging.  That is by no fault of Hal's.  The wood was ordered and delivered by a home improvement store.  If we had thought about that possibility up front, we would have chosen a prime grade wood.  It just never crossed our mind.  That is something that if I had read about it in any reviews when we were researching, I am certain I would have asked for prime grade wood for this project.  Even still, the deck and porch are still amazing and we are enjoying them both so much.
Our back deck was completed in December 2013 and our front porch was completed in January 2014. We have several other projects that we would like to have Hal complete inside and outside of our home.  We look forward to being able to work with him again.

    Backyard Custom Construction LLC
This was our second project built by Backyard Construction. We had been so pleased with a 10x12' garden shed they built for us in 2012 that we had them build our art studio as well.  Once again, they did an outstanding job. We could not be more pleased with both buildings. Their part of the studio project involved constructing the shell of the structure; my husband and I, our electrician and our painter then finished the interior
We've used Backyard Construction because the quality of their buildings is excellent. After looking at dozens of other companies' offerings it was easy to see that Backyard used better materials and offered a higher level of workmanship yet was still very competitive pricewise. The studio is now one year old and the garden shed is two years old, and neither building has presented any problems whatsoever.
Construction began on time and was completed right on schedule. Their crew was courteous and extremely efficient. Dustin was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive to our ideas and did an excellent job following up to make sure we were happy with everything. Working with Backyard Construction was a very positive experience for us each time, and we're more than happy to recommend them to others.

    K&S Contractors
The project went extremely well. They worked around my schedule and the fact that I have a toddler at home. The bathroom was completed within a week with the exception of the glass. I was able to use the shower while we waited an additional week for the custom shower glass. I have used K&S contractors since I purchased my home in 2006. They have made multiple upgrades and changes throughout my house. They are definitely my go-to contractors.

    Robillard Remodeling
John Robillard and Sam Morlett did a fantastic job remodeling my garage into a home entertainment room. They completely changed the outside on the home so that one couldn't even tell there were ever garage doors there. There are no left over garage squares. Just two new windows and shutters with new siding that looks like the builder built the wall with the home new. Inside they dry walled the inside, made fan and new power outlets. They took off the garage entry door and widen the entry to make it an entrance space just like one into any other room. Also they create larger, safer steps into the new space. Now of course we still have to wood or carpet and paint it. But my family is very happy to have this new space for the kids after downsizing. We knew we would not have it if we did not do it right when we moved in. Sam and John were always on time, flexible and super nice. I would highly re come them for any home improvement job. They just built a brand new deck for one of my very good friends last month too that he absolutely loves. They too are talking about having John and Sam do their garage and built a new garage next to it!

    Riverside Painting
We got the work done but never received a full receipt of payment.  We paid them the money and wanted to receive the receipt for tax purposes.  We never received that.  In terms of the work quality, we had excellent worksmanship.  We had a few delays on the weekends to get the work set up, but when we finally got them out there, they did an overall good job.  We were happy with the overall workmanship with the project, and they cleaned up well.  It bothers me that I never got a written receipt from them.  We had to use the estimate, which was about 1500 dollars, instead of the full 2000 that the project ended up taking.

    Deck Smart s.e.
Deck Smart was referred to us by a neighbor who was also having a deck built. After the first meeting and initial design, me and my wife changed our minds a few times and David was always ready to hear the new ideas and work with us. Work got started a few days after. I continually was checking on progress and asking questions and all were fielded professionally and in a courteous manner. Throughout the build I asked for various changes and they were accepted on the spot. In the end we have a beautiful new deck that we can't wait to entertain guests on.
