    Stark Construction, LLC
Best service at a great price! We had first had an inspection from someone else whose price seemed way too high. We went to Bollen's Hearth in Breman, GA to find a new fireplace insert and they recommended Bryan. Bryan came and gave us a price 1/3 the previous people. Always showed up on time and installation was beautiful. His work is as if he was doing for this own mom. We love our fireplace and will be using Bryan for years to come for cleaning.

    Chimney cleaning Atlanta GA
Arrive at home. Was set up for $79 clean only. Had family member meet the tech. The tech was kind but told my family the $79 didnt include a clean if the house didnt have annual cleaning with them. This was not true and not the offer on website. My family became uncomfortable in our own home and very uneasy. They were being forced to pay $250 for a service they didnt want or authorize. The tech continued that it was $250. My family felt threatened and was worried about continuing to go against the tech. In an effort to get the tech out of the home they paid the $250. We contacted the owner who proceeded to raise his voice and yell at me, called me incompetent, called my family incompetent among a few other things. I asked him to lower his voice or the conversation was going to be ended. He then compared over charging to leaving your car at the oil change facility and if you walk away for lunch and other things need done on car then you just need to pay them because the service was completed when you were gone. This is not how business works and we will not be bullied into poor business practices. Have partnered with our bank to dispute the charge. I will pay what the coupon stated for $79. Not more

    THE HomeSolutions GUY
    July 5, 2016

Upon purchasing an older home with the original stone
fireplace facing, my husband, and I, decided to remodel the fireplace.  The fireplace facing removal revealed the need
for a new fireplace insert, gas lines, chimney rain pan and cap. A new mantle
and marble would be installed after the fireplace gas lines, insert, pan and
    cap were completed.

On May 14, 2016, Joel Ramsey, The Home Solutions Guy,
arrived at our home five hours late
for the initial evaluation and estimate of the fireplace project. Mr. Ramsey
gave us a verbal quote of $900 to remove and replace old fireplace insert and
all pipe; install a new unit and new pipe; install new rain pan and new
supports, collars, seals, and cap. Mr. Ramsey suggested we take back the marble
we purchased, because he could order a block of marble for $350 and install
after completing the insert. Mr. Ramsey also quoted $400 to put up drywall over
mantle, and $125 to hang mantle. On May 15, 2016, we received Mr. Ramsey's
quote, via email, for $2150.70, which included $140.70 of tax. A down payment
of $1000 must be paid and contract signed for Mr. Ramsey to order the product
needed for the project.  I questioned the
prices and taxes, and when the installation could be done. Mr. Ramsey stated: "
Once the deposit is paid, it will take 2 days to complete".  When I would not commit to hiring Mr. Ramsey,
he stated, via email: "The price I gave you was a deal. It will only be
    good until next weekend".

Mr. Ramsey did meet with my husband, and realized the tax
charge was incorrect. Mr. Ramsey changed the tax to $59.50 and took a $900 down
payment on May 22, 2016. Mr. Ramsey stated, he would order the materials on
Monday and be back the following Saturday, May 28th to install. Mr. Ramsey
called later in the week and stated, he could not order the marble in the size
needed for the project. Thus, we informed Mr. Ramsey to only order the insert
and complete the quoted work for the insert, pipes, pan and cap. Mr. Ramsey
cancelled his appointment for Saturday, May 28th and rescheduled for the
following Saturday, June 4th.  On Friday,
June 3rd, he cancelled for the 4th and stated he would be at the house promptly
at 9 am on the 6th. On Sunday, June 5th, cancelled for 9 am and arrived at 2:30
pm, because he had purchase the insert. Mr. Ramsey could not complete the job
on the 6th, because we discovered some rotten wood under the old insert. Mr.
Ramsey stated: "For $200 extra, I will replace the old wood".
Instead, I purchased the materials needed for $25 and replaced. Mr. Ramsey
stated, he would be out the next day to complete the job, once the wood had
been replaced. Of course, Mr. Ramsey was a no show the next day. On Wednesday,
June 8th, Mr. Ramsey was due to the house at 9 am. Mr. Ramsey sent his helper
to complete the work at noon on June 8th. The helper began nailing a flat sheet
of metal as the rain pan. I stopped the worker, because the metal was causing
damage to the vinyl siding, not the correct material, and had an overhang of
almost 10". Mr. Ramsey did show around 3 pm to cut the metal to 6"
and finish the project. Mr. Ramsey could not get the gas to work, because a new
flex hose was needed. Of course, Mr. Ramsey stated, for $150, he would replace
the hose. At this point, I paid Mr. Ramsey the last $20 owed and politely asked
    him to leave.

I have had another company come to replace the cheap sheet
metal Mr. Ramsey used for the rain pan. Upon inspections, the new company had
to fill the large holes Mr. Ramsey left on the rain pain, thus allowing rain
into the house. Pictures have been taken for future documentation. The
replacement rain pan, repair to the firestop, which Mr. Ramsey did not install
to code and left insulation in chimney ( a fire hazard) cost me an additional
$700. Mr. Ramsey did a very poor job from estimate to completion. Mr. Ramsey
used pressure and unethical tactics to get the contract. The old saying, 'you
get what you pay for' definitely holds true. Therefore, I could never recommend
Mr. Ramsey for any project. The Home Solutions Guy score is below an F.

    Atlanta Roofing Specialist Inc
Jimmy Howard came out on time and was extremely professional. I purchased the Angie's List deal because I knew I was having a mild leak on days when it rained a LOT. My biggest fear was that a simple tune up was going to be well less than I needed.
Jimmy advised that the way the siding had been done around the chimney flashing was the problem, he did a quick fix up and advised that this should work but if not the flashing would need to be re-done. That may sound like bad news BUT it's not! The news was that the roof is otherwise in good shape and has a few more years of life left in it.
Not to mention Jimmy's fix does appear to be spot on, there was a massive rain a few days later and the leak appears to have ceased. Thank you Jimmy Howard!
I would certainly look to Atlanta Roofing Specialist for any roofing needs!

Andrew's Land & Tree Service & Firewood Delivery
Andrewalways thoroughly explains what he will trim and why andalways addresses each question I have about our tree.He andAaron did a professional and efficientjob tosculpt the tree's bottom branches and totrim the limbsthatoverly-shaded the grass underneath. The cherry treenow looks healthier and vibrant. I told Andrew I would phone him in October and arrange a time for him and his crew to thoroughly trim our cherry tree and to clear the undeveloped backyard area. Since most tree companies refuse to trim one tree or charge an inordinate aount to trim one tree, I applaud Andrew for recognizing why homeowners occasionally need small jobs accomplished and for willingly supplying his services to complete small jobs. Kudos to Andrew for his personable, efficient, and professional tree trimming expertise!

    Advanced Chimney Sweeps
Went as well as it could go. Was selling house, chimney needed to be swept. They did a thorough job and didn't make a mess. The back firewall was badly cracked and they had the replacement available in their truck. They also threw in some mortar on the bottom plate to cover a small crack I had and proved some high-heat paint that I could apply.
    Would definitely use again.

    Advanced Chimney Sweeps
Dan showed up right on time and was very professional. The whole process took only 45 minutes. He swept the chimney and then climbed up onto the roof to inspect the top of the chimney, took pictures so I could see for myself that we need to have some caulking repaired. He did not use scare tactics to try to over sell me which I really appreciated. I will definitely have him back to our house in the future and recommend him to anyone that needs a chimney sweep. Very clean, efficient, and just a really nice guy.
