Fence Company reviews in Cumming

    Ross Property Services, LLC
Quite simply, this was a disaster. Two of my neighbors and I had Jeff and his employee out to stain our fences. My side of the fence was the last of the three and they started on it as it was getting dark. After about 45 minutes (roughly 1/3 of the amount of time that my neighbor's fences took), Jeff announced he was "finished" and began packing up. Jeff told me that it was getting dark and that he'd need to come back to "touch up" some places. I said that was fine. The next day, I was able to survey the quality of the work, and it was not good. Entire boards had been missed and what was "stained" was really uneven. Perhaps the worst part was that the entire side of my house was splattered with stain. I made Jeff aware of the issues, and after some email back and forth, he came back out to "touch up" some areas. Well, he did come out to attempt to touch up some areas, but it doesn't look like he did much, if anything. He conveniently picked a time when I wasn't home to do the touch up so he could avoid the conversation about fixing the stain on the side of my house. I've gone back and forth with him about the stain splattering my house and he has not once apologized or attempted to really fix the problem (i.e. repaint the entire side of my house). Here's an excerpt from our first email conversation about the splatters on the side of my house: "I meant to call you when I was leaving and I guess I got sidetracked with something else. I looked at the splatters on your house and tried to get them off. There was nothing I could do for them without peeling the siding paint off as well. Based on how they look Im not sure how in the **** that couldve came from anything that me or my guy did. Its not overspray its like splatters more than anything else and anything that close to the house we used brushes on and not the sprayer. Im not really sure what we can do about those spots without damaging the other paint. " To that I responded: "Just so Im clear, are you saying that those splatters of stain on my house are not from you? Or are you saying that youre not going to do anything about it? Im fairly certain that the splattering could have come off the hose as your employee was swinging it around in his haste to finish. Regardless, Im certain that I can match those splatters will match the brush stroke stains on the other side of my house." And to that, Jeff said: "I'm not saying either one of those things. Im saying I dont understand or know how splatter like that couldve came from us. If it was from the sprayer it would look like overspray and not splatters. I would assume and say obviously it had to come from us being that it looks like the same color and there was nothing stained prior in that area before us. Im also saying I dont know what we can do about it without damaging the paint that is currently on your house. The only other option would be to get the color code of the paint currently on your house and paint over them but then it will not match because the current paint will be faded...I can either come scrub the crap out of it and risk peeling the other paint or if you could give me the color code I could go buy some touch up paint and paint over it but again either one you will more than likely be able to see a difference. I will do whatever it takes within reason to make sure that you are satisfied with the job so just please let me know which route you would want to go." Not once did he say "I'm sorry." And, my options now are to "scrub the crap out of it" or a bunch of little green dots all over my house...I'll pass. Besides, given the quality of his work, I'm fairly certain I wouldn't like the outcome anyway.

    First Fence of Georgia
Experience was very good and I highly recommend them. The quote process was fast. The estimator arrived on time, explained to me the plan and got electronic copy of the quote. They also responded quickly to any followup questions. Initially, their quote was not the lowest, but they happily matched it. I also liked it that they sent me reminder emails when their crew is going to come and what to expect. On the fence install day, the crew was polite, professional and fast. They arrived on time, very organized and did their work fast. The workmanship was very good too. There was no need for rework or corrections.

    Allied Fence Co Inc
The estimator was on time, but sat in his car for 15 minutes with my standing outside his door completing ignoring my presence. Immediately and throughout the estimation process he boasted, bragged and carried on about how they were "the best fence company in all of Georgia, you won't find anyone who can build a fence better than we can." He refused to do the work of clearing the fence line, we are talking .25" scattered scrub brush here folks and one pile of debris our backdoor neighbor had thrown over the fence. He claimed that clearing the fence line was above the "skill level of his men" and that his men would be "offended to do manual labor." Um, I thought fence building was manual labor? We have built all of our previous fences and were only looking for a contractor this time around for the sake of time. We just don't have the time to do it ourselves. Anyhow, after telling me they would clear the line but that it would cost a lot of money I asked how much money would it take or are you telling me that your guys simply won't do it. He once again told me they were the best fence company in all of Georgia and they don't clear the fence line. No one can build a fence better than us. I told him, "I can. I can build a fence better than you and you can leave. We are done here." It took my husband, three children and I all of 2 hours to completely clean the fence line. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone.

    Superior Fence of Georgia LLC
I quoted out five different companies from fences and decided to go with Superior Fence because they had the best price and were right down the street. I had to reschedule the start of the project a couple of times due to issues with the building/closing of the property and they were very understanding. All other companies quoted a 2-3 build time while they were able to complete the project in just over a day in a half. The fence looks great! They took time to make sure the area was clean before leaving. I am very happy with my choice!

    Prime Fence Group LLC
I contacted several of the top rated Angie's List Fence Companies recently to get a quote for aluminum fencing. When I scheduled my estimate, it was approximately a 3 week waiting period. After waiting 3 weeks and taking a Friday off of work to meet with Prime Fence Group, I received a call on the day of the estimate that the Estimators daughter has having her baby and he could not show up. Completely understandable, but I would have thought that they would have several people that could come instead to provide the estimate. The secretary rescheduled my appointment for the next Friday. Once again, I took a day off and Prime Fence Group was a no show. I called the office and complained and if they cannot show up twice for an estimate appointment, then how could I ever trust that they'll show up to do the work or if I ever had a warranty issue as well. The other 3 top rated fence companies that I called, showed up for the estimate and I had a great experience with them.

    FORTIFIED FENCE GROUP
After having to reschedule our initial appointment by 2 days, left the property with a promise of having estimate within 48 hours. After awarding the job to another fence company, our estimate finally arrived 13 days later. I'm glad I did not wait, as Fortified's quote came in $1000 higher than the others that had provided quotes.

    PENNINGTON FENCE, INC.
Eric made sure everything went smoothly once we understood what can and can't be done. Chico and Jose worked through bad weather to make sure the install was perfect. The office was also a joy to work with. I will definitely use them again.

    PENNINGTON FENCE, INC.

The installers were great. Showed up on time and completed the job quickly. They had to clear the area and at the end they very helpful and cleaned up the site entirely.

Bruce (Salesman) came out before the installers started and we walked to project and made sure all questions were answered and everyone had a good idea of what was expected.

Overall Pennington Fence was great. I worked to get quotes from two other companies in the area. One didn?t respond or communicate well. The other would not offer to clear the area and clean up. Pennington responded to my questions quickly and kept me informed of the schedule.

I would recommend Pennington Fence for any fence project.

    Atlanta Decking and Fence Co
They did a good job of matching the curve of the existing fences although the posts were slightly different on top from the existing ones (we discovered this after they were delivered, and it was close enough, so I just went with it).  My only issue was about 4 of the pickets were a much darker color wood, but they came out and replaced them no charge.  I also had to remove the white stickers on the bottoms of the pickets in places where you could see them (such as under the gate).  It would have been nice if they had done that.  Still, the fence looks great and the price was reasonable.

    North Georgia Entry Solutions, Inc.
Have a pretty long back yard, luckily the neighbor let me butt up to his fence (still 370'). Keystone was the second fence company I called out of four. The two-man team that did my neighbor's fence was the cheapest, but I was looking for more than just cheap. Keystone was 2nd cheapest out of 4. Seen too many fences look like junk after just a couple of years. Tracy with Keystone uses higher quality wood all around, cedar on the gates, etc.
After the initial estimate (professional, timely, friendly, etc.), I delayed a bit to get a couple more estimates. It took a couple weeks to get the estimates, and in that time I modified what I wanted to do a little bit. Tracy rolled with the changes (bigger gates, moving the fence lines a bit) and worked with me. When I finally committed, the fence went up as planned. The crew was professional, cleaned everything up as they went, and went the extra mile on their own with the little stuff (closing up a little gap at the bottom in the back to keep the top nice and straight but also not let the dog out, cutting my landscape border at my request to make room for the fence, rather than cutting the fence itself, etc.)
Had one minor issue with one gate not opening all the way due to excessive slope in the surrounding yard, and I got a bit creative with the solution. My plan was definitely out of the ordinary (making a flap at the bottom of the gate that can be raised to clear the slope), but again Tracy worked with me, sent his project manager out to work with me, and it came out perfect. Overall I have NOTHING bad to say about them! Four thumbs up!
