    Magnum Gutters & Metal Roofing
Great. An estimate was given in a timely fashion, I was given a choice of colors so the gutter would blend with my painted trim, the workers arrived at the appointed time, and were promptly finished once they arrived.

    Power Home Remodeling
It was fabulous! They showed up as scheduled and immediately set to work. The house and grounds were protected by tarps. The workers were polite and efficient. The crew boss was very professional and responsive. The work was completed faster than projected and the clean-up was complete and very detailed. The follow-up inspection was immediate. Every concern was given thorough attention.

    Stacey White Roofing
Stacey and crew did an excellent job. They were there exactly when they said they would be (Stacey included) and finished exactly when they said they would. No signs of leaking even after several very hard rains. They even tore an old satellite dish off the roof and sealed it up for me. They left no signs that they had been there except for the completed repairs. They even did an excellent job of matching my existing shingles - I could not tell the difference. I enjoyed dealing with Stacey White Roofing and will be a customer again in the future.

    Murph's Roofing And Repair

Recent storms damaged my home, "Roofers" came knocking wanting us to sign here or there without getting on roof.

Was referred to Murph's Roofing by a neighbor.

Bill Murphy had come out when he said he would be and then starting inspecting damages.

Once back on the ground he went over his findings, Told me he would write estimate and have to me next day. (He did so).

Once approved I then signed contract with him a work begun a few days later.

Crews were very professional and took great pride in there work.

Once completed bill got back on roof and inspected all work to make sure it met his high standards.

We were very pleased with the whole process and would recommend them to everyone.

    Arrack Construction Inc
Mr Rackley was likeable and reassuring in personal contact prior to the job. His crew seemed to be well organized. I was satisfied when they left. However, a couple of problems arose within the first few month. At that point I found it difficult to get in touch with Gary Rackley and he did not call me back when I left messages. The big issue arose a few years later, when I noticed staining of the wall in my great room in front of the chimney. For several months I tried to get Gary to return. It took many calls to get in touch with him (and I even had his cellphone number) but he would not show up when he promised to come to my home. This pattern repeated itself. Finally after a few months he did arrive and inspect the problem. He agreed that I had a leak. It turns out that he had debated whether to install a cricket above my chimney but had instead relied on flashing that he then felt had been insufficient due to the volume of water coming down the steep slope of my roof. He assured me that he would arrive with his crew the next morning to fix the problem. He did not show up or return my calls. Eventually I gave up. The cost to me of this misstep was enormous.

    Gutter Works

Donnie Hammond came out to the house around Aug 12, 2014, he was running late and called and asked did I want to cancel the appointment for this date, I should have done so, he had a doctor's appointment he did not get to keep as he mentioned to me so that rather started things off negatively.  I  continued by walking him around the house and trying to ask him questions that I had written down, trying to make it clear about certain specifics, i.e.,not to scoot the ladder and to be careful of ladder prints as the house had recently been painted on the exterior.  I asked to have the HVAC units covered up and the balustrades as they also were recently painted, I personally had to keep watch and inquire if they were going to do these things I had asked initially, it seemed to be an issue so I covered them myself. I also asked Donnie to inform his men of the irrigation heads, they paid no attention to them at all. I also asked to have rugs placed under the ladders on the back patio because of the clay tiles, this is another chore I had to do.

The gutters leak at the seams probably in about the best I could count when raining eight places, some started less than a month after installation as time has continued there is more and more seam leakage.  In addition, on the left side of the house facing the street the gutter in one specific bulges out.

I had to keep asking the crew if they were going to clean when the old gutters were removed, it was difficult to get them to do so, rest assured they were not going to do one thing extra.

The job took longer than I was initially told and I was also told by Mr. Hammond the names of the three men who would be working at the house, I wrote them down, one he named was Josh who did not show up, I later found out he had been in the hospital but I was not informed until much later, Josh did show up on the last day of the job and I must say he was by far the best man they had working here, he was courteous, had a good work ethic, mannerly, I just wish he would have been here throughout the job but this is a lesson learned, I would not hire anyone again if the employees mentioned by the owner did not show up on the job and stay through completion.  I fault Mr. Hammond in this regard.

What happened to Port-A-Let's, restroom issues should be the domain of the employer and his employees and I did not appreciate the fact I literally saw the lead man urinate on the side of the house, I should have ran them all off then.

Last but not least Mr. Hammond came out to the house to see what the hold up was in completing the job, he never bothered to ring the doorbell and inform me of anything which should have been a common courtesy.

    June 2015

After reading Mr. Hammond's response, yes I expected the job to be done professionally, if to use his words "I had high expectations", yes I expected the job be done properly, if it were there would not have been leaks, why would I call you back if this is the kind of work you do.  If your men had done the job properly (with the exception of Josh) you would not have had a complaint, that is your problem and using the side of a person's house to urinate is totally unacceptable. Actually very gross.

I found Mr. Hammond very difficult to communicate with, it was his way or not way, I gave him directives to add to my contract, he never paid them any attention.  I know what I experienced and I would never want them on my property again.

    Braswell Construction Group Inc
Good salesman but didn't deliver on original time frame or quality of work.  Began work in November but did not finish with last job until April. Soffit is buckled in a few places.  Flooring contractor delivered pre-finished oak instead of unfinished oak as we had requested. Oak flooring had many knots in it.  Don't think they let the wood sit long enough in our house before laying it because it is beginning to warp a little.  Had major issues with grouting of tile work.  Upstairs ceramic tile floor not grouted well and had to ask twice for contractor to grout missed spots.  Today there are still some places where the grout is missing.  The worst headache we have is the shower tile.  They had to regrout about 4 times due to cracking and using different colors of grout. We had to call them back again today because the grout is chipping, cracking and coming out in the corners, the base and around the drain.  They say their work is guaranteed for 5 years so we will see.  We are concerned about moisture and mold due to cracks and missing grout if this is not fixed soon.  With all this said most of the people we dealt with from Braswell were very nice and professional. I was mistakenly copied on a text message one supervisor sent the owner where he was cursing about a message I had sent him regarding something that needed to be fixed.  They did throw in some extra work at no additional charge that was nice.  We have heard back from the owner and a supervisor and are being told they will have all our issues corrected so that we will be satisfied.

    Gutter Works
I've had good experience with them. They had installed some gutters that were supposed to never have to be cleaned again and they got stocked up. So they said it was a poor design. So he came out and gave me another design on the gutters and cleaned it for free. The quality of work was very good. They cleaned up after themselves.

It went great! We were very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. The job took a little longer than what was told at beginning but it was raining a lot when trying to get this all done. The crew was very professional and easy to work with so we could get everything just the way we wanted it! We can't wait till we are ready to do some work on the inside of the house. Going to be calling the guys at Braswell to make sure we get the best work for a great price!
