    All Cats Clinic
    The provider and his staff recommended that I only get the necessary treatment. They did not  try to get me to do things that weren't truly needed at the time like many other veterinarians try to do. The Doctor while examining my cat found an infected tooth that my previous veteranerian (Northside Animal Hospital) had overlooked for at least a couple of years. All the while my cat was suffering and I didn't know it. While in the waiting room I had overheard two other customers talking about how their cats had almost died at Northside Animal Hospital and that is why they brought them to All Cats Clinic. I had used this clinic in the past for a previous cat that I used to have and The staff was very caring to say the least. I will never use another vet for my cat except All Cats Clinic. I just wish I could find an equivelent vet for my dog.

    The manager on duty was supposed to try and find my dog's records and give me a call back. It has been almost two weeks and no one has called me back yet. So now I will have to go to another vet and pay for a heart worm check up to get my dog his medication. I told the manager that if she did not call me  back I would never come back again.

    Was able to schedule all three dogs for the same day. Brought them in one at a time. Each received a thorough examination. Dr. Chu fully discussed their particular cases and needs and answered all my questions. She wrote heartworm prescriptions which I was able to pick up later and use for ordering online, and also called in a special antibiotic prescription for pick up at the local compounding pharmacy.
    Provided a clear, accurate, itemized estimate before going into the examining room. Total included everything besides the costs of the city permits, which are collected separately.

    We take her to Dr. McDermott once a month to check the pressure in her eye.  He's been treating our dog for about 4 1/2 years.  He referred us to Auburn Vet School to try out different medications.  He called and got us an appointment the same day.  They have removed one eye and they will have to remove the other eye, but we're trying to prolong that as long as possible.  The treatments have gone as well as can be expected.  They even recommended reading material to assist us with our dog.  The office staff is also very efficient.

    Took my daschsund in for a level lll teeth cleaning. During the procedure a couple of teeth had to be extracted which I knew was a possibility and not unexpected. At the time of picking up my dog I was told to bring him back in two weeks to have him checked to make sure he was healing fine. When called to make appointment to have recheck I was advised there would be a 24.00 charge for the recheck. This I could not believe after having spent nearly 540.00 for the cleaning and extractions. I called around to other vets to see if they charge for a recheck, the two I called said no it was part of the procedure. I called back and told the receptionist that at this point I would be changing vets. She did not seem to be phased by this one bit. I have five animals that go to this vet and told them to fax all there records to another vet that I was gonna take him my dog there for his recheck.She didn't seem to care. This vet has lost my business over 24.00.

    Affordable Veterinary Services



    Staff was very accommodating due to arriving to the appointment an hour earlier and helpful when addressing present skin concerns with my dog. The overall price was excellent. They are one of the most affordable vets I have seen in Columbus. What made this appointment costly were his $98.00 six month trifexis pills.

    Price was too high for the size and weight of the dog. More so, because it was done by a veterinarian assistant versus a dog groomer. The cost when taking him to the groomer (versus their staff) is actually more affordable and the quality of the hair cut is better. Was very disappointed with the price. Will try my best to only take him for appointments when the groomer is available. Do not recommend allowing staff to cut their hairs. Despite this, the overall service is excellent. They have an outstanding team of doctors that I strongly recommend. Although, their front desk staff can be short at times with their customers, their doctors are very knowledgeable and you can tell they love working with animals.

    2nd Avenue Animal Hospital
    First, I like Dr LeFranc. He is a good man and my cat responded very well to him, but the other Vet in his practice is incompetent.
    When Dr LeFranc had to put my one of my cats to sleep, he was incredibly compassionate. He gave her an injection to put her to put her to sleep so she wouldn't experience any pain that comes from that final shot. I had to bring a second cat in some time after that and Dr Brown was the only vet available. She didn't administer the first shot. It was horribly tramatic. My poor cat twitched and struggled as I held her in my arms and she died. Dr Brown showed no evidence of sympathy or compassion.
    On several occassions, I have called and specifically asked for Dr LeFranc and scheduled appts with him, but upon arrival I would find that he was out of the country on vacation or it was his scheduled day off.
    When I brought Stryker in, Dr Brown was the only available vet, but my cat was really sick and I was desperate. When I came to pick Stryer up after a week of hospitalization, an assistant brought my cat out in his carrier and shoved him in my arms and told me that they wanted him to see another doctor for more tests. The assistant had no idea who the other vet was, what kind of test needed to be run, what clinic it was, etc. She went back in to find out and didn't come back with the information for 20 minutes. Dr Brown was never came out, didn't show her face and made no efforts to explain or provide any details.
    I went to see the other doctor, had the tests run. The other doctor spent a lot of time with me. Showed me the test results, went through medical literature with me. He was amazing. His office staff was amazing. I decided that this was where I would transfer my cat's care. In fact, I wanted this doctor to see all my animals!
    Eventually, Stryker got better. Between the two doctors, I spent over $2,000 on his care. But my cat seemed fine. Unfortunately, Stryker becames ill again. I was warned this may happen as he was never actually diagnosed. So I called this new vet office back to schedule an appt to see the doctor who had so impressed me. He refused to see Stryker, as my cat was a referal from Dr LeFranc's office. This other doctor never solicited my business. I explained that whether they saw me or not, I would not return to the 2nd Ave Animal Hospital. I had received bad service. The vet explained that he had a deal with Dr. LeFranc that he wouldn't treat any of his patients. I begged, I cried and was turned away to find another doctor who had no experience with Stryker's illness and history to start again. I asked the doctor if the patient shouldn't come first - should his deal with Dr LeFranc comprimise the health of a sick animal. His response was that there are plenty of good vets in Columbus.
    So, in short, I had to solicit the services of another vet and put my cat through all this again. If Dr LeFranc doesn't want to lose customers, rather than making under the table deals with other doctors, maybe he should focus on staffing his animal clinic with doctors who treat the animal and their owners with respect and compassion. Ultimately, the patient should come first - not any vet's pride or pocket book.

    This vet is by far every pet owner's dream. They are always professional, welcoming, and they genuinely care about the animals that walk through the door and the owners too. I had to put my childhood cat down (kidney failure after many, many years) and almost a year later they still make sure I don't have to use that specific exam room when I come in with my other cat. What's so special is I never asked for such a small detail to be remembered and they did it on their own. I'm always put at ease that my little one is staying with them. For one trip I was gone just under a month and they took pictures of her and sent updates. Every time I've had to leave either my first cat or my current cat I've never worried about either of them getting anything but the best of attention. (The office also provides an adorable report card at the end so you know what your animal was up to while you were away.) While they can be pricey, it's well worth it for the attention they pay to detail, the friendliness of the staff and both doctors, and the cleanliness of their office. Plus the veterinary assistants are absolutely amazing. I can't write enough good things about them all. Every experience has been a good one and I've felt all the direction they've provided - and care they've given my cats - has been outstanding. (The price below was about a week of boarding with two cages.)
