    Internal Medicine Associates - Reston
I am unable to provide enough good reviews about IMAR. They worked with me when I was running late and accommodated my needs.  Their staff from the office personnel, to the lab, assistants and medical providers all do a thorough and exceptional job. Custom service and satisfaction, tied to great medical care seems to be the motto of IMAR. I highly recommend.

    The Autism Learning Center
They have great therapists. The center has a very open atmosphere and can be very noisy. There tends to be a waiting list. I pretty much got the hours that I got to begin, with limited flexibility. As hours came available though, the director, worked with me to make it more convenient, which was appreciated. That showed that my needs were kept in mind.
I loved the lady who worked with my daughter, but after a while I was told that she had to work with other children. I saw that the director's son goes there, and the tutor I wanted worked with him also, but during the times my daughter was there too. I felt that my daughter had a hard transition to other staff and the time was being wasted trying to make the transition. Perhaps, as a parent, some autistic issues should be addressed before trying to get the child used to other people. A couple of friends had the same problem, as well as an issue of our daughters crying when we approached the center by car. This was alarming. This has not been an issue at other facilities.
ALC says they have an open door policy, but when I call nobody answers. Most of the time I cannot go back and see my child.
I didn't like the hours there. They are done at 5:30, at the center or home. So for me to get my kid in, I had to get her out of school.
I think more interaction is better, so I wanted after school.
The May Institute has after-school therapy, but a long waiting list.
I liked ALC very much, but after seeing other ABA techniques and centers, I am glad we looked at other options.
The director could work on her people skills, not only parents, but with her staff.

    St Francis Hospital
They have excellent service.  They have quick response time and there is no long wait in the waiting room.  All the people there are very knowledgeable and very nice.  They go out of their way to make sure that you are okay, they will check on you and give you a cup of coffee or water.

    Medical Center, The
doctors (I had many) and nurses were very nice. I received the very best of care (My love goes to the night shift nurses) They ruled out cardiac or more serious problems and found out I was falling due to decreased feeling in my left ankle, due to a fracture in it many years ago. I bought some ortho shoes and have not fallen since! I was very scared (aged 49) as to what was happening to me and every doctor I encountered seemed to care and listened attentively.

    Medical Center, The
The service provided by the medical center was good considering my condition was less of an emergency than some other cases. They saw me rather quickly when I came through the door and once they determined I was not in danger they treated me accordingly. They took my vitals, interviewed me, ran some blood (and other) test, and took x rays as I had hit my head when I fell. I would say everyone I met was efficient and if not exactly friendly were not mean or offputting. I was discharged about 4 hours after being admitted, which, given the circumstances and my less than emergency condition was really pretty good.

    St Francis Hospital - Columbus
We arrived at the emergency room about 11 p.m. on a Friday evening expecting to be there half the night. Check in went quickly and we were taken to a room within half an hour and a doctor came in within 15 minutes to assess the situation. The male nurse sent in to dress the burn was calming and gentle with a kid upset and in pain.
I know for a Friday night this timeframe was unusual but I would like to give kudos to the doctors and staff for attention given.

American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus
It was great!  I had a great agent, though I don't remember his name right now.  I do remember that he answered my questions and took the time to go over everything with me!  He was wonderful, they were willing to help in everything that you need help!  I just don't like that you can't get the insurance unless they payroll deduct it.

    St Francis Hospital
It is a very nice hospital.  You can get in and out quickly.  If you have access to the internet you can fill out all your paperwork before so you don't have to fill it all out there.  They doctors are adequate and professional. They take people without insurance.

    Medical Center, The
The service there is outstanding. The attitude of the nurses and the support staff was one willing to help and serve rather than did you push the button. They are really on top of everything. My wife went in for a back surgery and she had a cardiac incident while she was recovering from that and they were on top of it fast. A girl came in checked her blood pressure, she did not like what she saw and she pushed the panic button right away and they stayed with her. The whole thing was just fantastic. I had a daughter-in- law that was in there under similar circumstances and the attention that she got was just outstanding, not what you would expect out of most hospitals. They handle the billing pretty well. I will use them in the future.

    Acute Care Express
They are good. It is a place where people go when they don't have health insurance. My health insurance is my Discover card. I was in and out and it cost me $100. They told me to follow up with a different clinic and it took 3 or 4 days for them to call me back because their doctors were out. The wound is healing. The doctors at Acute Care Express are real doctors and they are not flunkies. They rotate through and they have worked in hospitals before. They know what they are talking about and they give me the straight on it.
