    Choice Home Warranty
My repairs were diagnosed quickly and the warranty replaced the Oven, Cooktop and Microwave as the policy promises! The process is smooth and the responsiveness of their representatives is within the hour.

    Green's Appliance
I was so impressed with the promptness of coming out and checking the freezer. As of today, the freezer is resting in the Columbus landfill, and we are on the way to Lowe's to order a new one. I selected Green's based on Angie's List reviews. Green's has my recommendations and I would definitely call again!

    Hester AAA Apliance
The service repair gentleman was 100% honest and told us that it would cost us less money to just replace the washer than to repair it. We appreciated his honesty and was happy to pay the service charge to come to our home to evaluate the problem.

    Sears Appliance Repair
The repair man said "Have you heard about the sears home warranty that covers everything in you house? You pay $55.00 a month, $54.99. All you pay is a $60.00 service fee every time we come out and we will fix anything in your house, wiring, plumbing, you know, anything, air conditioning, your heat, your water heater, you know, every appliance no matter how old, how new it doesn't matter." and makes it sound just wonderful right, but what they don't tell you is all the exceptions. They will tell you to look on such in such page in your book and there it is, the fine print, many many lines telling you that, just for example we thought the ice maker quit working and so we thought, Oh we have the Sears Warranty, they'll cove it. They came out and said "No we don't cover that water line, we cover water lines to washing machines, water lines to dishwashers but we don't cover water lines to refrigerators." you've got to be kidding, so it was over $300.00. So we were just not happy with that. I have complained about it several times and this one guys said, he was a very smart aleck guy and he said, "Well I never buy anything without reading all the fine print." I said okay, well that must be, you must have all the time in the world to sit and read every word in that book. And see what's not going to be covered. And keep that in your mind, that you know that's not going to be covered in the future if that ever happens. I just thought that was a little silly. So, no where not happy with them. We're just about ready to cancel that. They have fixed a couple of things, we're still trying to get them to fix the washer. It's been messed up since December and they have sent multiple people out here and it still isn't fixed. The one thing the last technician said it needed, they said, "Oh we don't cover that." you know, so we're not happy with it. Now they did come out in the Fall and did a complete check on our heating system, no charge what so ever, not even the $60.00 and they just came out a couple of weeks ago on the air conditioner. Completely checked it, everything, cleaned it and there's not even the $60.00 charge on those 2 things. Which that is very nice, you know. I had to pay the $60.00 service fee but they said, if you wanted this fixed you'd have to pay for it on your own." it was over $200.00 or something like that, 3 or $400.00 and we just said, "well the washer works so we'll just let it work till it quits, you know. Then we'll buy another one.". They did a few little things that never fixed it. They put on new springs, they balanced it, they did a couple of small things but we keep calling them back, saying this has not been fixed. It's not been fixed, it's still making this noise, you know. Making a terrible noise every time it would run. They would send somebody back out there and they never would seem to address the fact that it needed a new washtub or it needed, you know, something major. We've had them out here 5 or 6 times. So now they're saying, It's no longer a recall. Now if we have to come out again, then we'll have to charge you $60.00 again. We go, "Okay forget it." so. The technicians where very nice, very professional. They would tell me things like, "You shouldn't put more than 6 towels in this washing machine, that's a full load.", I said 6 towels is a full load? To me that was ridiculous. They said "If you're putting more than that then no wonder it's making this noise. I was like, okay. alright. Nobody does that, they're going to fill that washer up. Fix the washer or replace it which is what we were told we we bought the warranty. They said "If we can't fix whatever is wrong we replace it. Well the replacement cost they were going to give us was $225.00, I would like to see you buy a washing machine for $225.00. They don't, I would never, Oh we even had one of the technicians, he was not with Sears but they will get other appliance companies if they're booked up, they'll get another appliance company who works for them, and he said he used to work for Sears, I used to sell the warranties. I feel like I need to call up all those people and apologize. That tells you a lot, doesn't it? And his company said they hate working with the Sears warranty more than any other warranty company. They were impossible to work with.

    Riverside Appliance Repair & installation
My elderly mother's washing machine quit working. It appeared that the latch on the lid was involved. I called Riverside Appliance, explained the situation, and was given an appointment the next day.  The repairman called me before he went to mother's so I could let her know he was on his way. He called me after thoroughly examining the machine and explained in detail what was wrong with it, and because of the cost to repair it, he recommended getting a new washer instead of spending over $350 to repair the 6+ year old machine.  He recommended machines he thought would meet mother's needs, and he offered to answer questions about the machines I considered while shopping for a new one.  He was friendly, very helpful, and good with my mother.  I would definitely call him again.

    Riverside Appliance Repair & installation
All of a sudden, my 2004 Kenmore side by side refrigerator/freezer had stopped freezing and cooling. (Both sides). We were worried that the compressor or another major part had gone out.  I called Sears that evening and tried to set up a service call for four days out...(the earliest they would come). I also had to speak with a foreign person that I could barely understand that tried to sell me a Sears home warranty. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment in case I couldn't find anyone else to come. The next day I consulted Angie's List and was able to view a list of service providers that had received good reviews.  I chose Riverside Appliance Service in Phenix City, Alabama and called.  I spoke with Richie Dileonardo and explained our situation to him.  He had been in our area but was most of the way back to Phenix City to attend to other calls.  He said he would turn around and be at my house within a half hour.  He was there promptly as promised and assessed the situation. He concluded that it was probably the compressor relay (the starter switch for the compressor) and quickly installed a new one. He was polite, professional, and so helpful! He knew it would have been a hardship for us to replace our refrigerator and a huge (if not cost prohibitive) expense to change out the compressor should we have needed a new one.  It worked!!  Our refrigerator/freezer started cooling right away.  Just to make sure it was working properly he called us first thing the next morning to check on our refrigerator.  I can't tell you how happy we were and how thankful we were for the great job he did and for his honesty and professionalism. He will be the first person I call from now on if I have anything else break down.  You won't go wrong if you go with Mr. Dileonardo. My husband and I recommend him and his company Riverside Appliance Service highly!

It would have been very easy to decide that since the primary board was getting power that the problem was the other circuit board and be done with it.  He took the considerable time and effort to check for the other possibility (the stuck power switch) and corrected it.

    Riverside Appliance Repair & installation
Richie called me back quickly and had my washer fixed before the end of the working day.  He immediately figured out the problem, and he had a replacement valve in his truck.  He was in and out in less than an hour.
He knows what he's doing; he's been in business for more than 20 years--that's a good thing for me, because my washing machine is so old that most repair folk may have never seen one like it.  He treats customers fairly and professionally, and his prices are quite reasonable.  He's the first person I would call for any major appliance repair.
