Septic Tank Cleaning reviews in Canton

    The Pink Plumber
Everything went well with a few incidents that caused a less than excellent evaluation. 1.- After my cable line was exposed it was snapped by the backhoe. Shannon was very apologetic and said he would make a temporary repair before leaving so I wouldn't be without until I could schedule the permanent repair. Which he did. 2.- The area where the digging took place was left poorly raked with large chunks of soil and indents where the holes were dug. Soil not raked into the holes sufficiently. I'll wind up doing this myself. 3. There was a very large oil leak from the truck pump which left a very large oil puddle and stain in front of my house. Shannon spread something over it and said that should take care of it, which I was grateful for. By the afternoon and traffic driving over the stain it was poorly absorbed by the product used so I applied a bag of absorbent over the stain again. This seems to have minimized the spreading of the oil that was not absorbed initially.

    Franklin Septic Tank Service
Herbert and his son have been great to work with. They are down to earth, real people. You can tell they care about their customers. Herbert was able to determine a new drain field plan although we have a lot of steep hills and trees it was quickly approved by our county. Our County Inspectors know him and they trust him and refer him to their friends. Our inspector was impressed that they were able to get onto our hills and trees so well. We will easily call Franklin Septic in the future and recommend them to everyone we know. It is nice to feel great about someone you've done business with. Communications were excellent and Herbert insured we understood the process well ahead of time.

When we were told by Matt that he would have their office call to schedule (exact words) and after a few days I didn't hear anything, we called to follow up and ask. When asking about getting scheduled, we were told he was trying to work us in the next day. I was very surprised as a homeowner we would need to be apprised of scheduled work ahead of time and that the schedule would work for us. Upon expressing our concern over the lack of communication and appropriate scheduling, we were told he didn't need our business. Do not always believe the top rated Angie's List...the guy threatened me with his lawyer if I left this review.

It had been 14 years since we built the house and it needed to be cleaned out.  They did a nice job. They are very helpful and very friendly. They showed us what they were doing and ah, didn't try to sell us the world. It was very quick, very professional. They really knew exactly what they were doing and I would recommend them. They were great. There were 2 young men, they knew what they were doing. They were very professional. They worked quickly and they ah, you know they didn't, like so many of those companies they try to sell you everything in the world. I had one come in before them and before they even started working they had told me it was going to cost a couple thousand dollars. So I had to just tell them no, just go ahead and go away. That seems to be the game in that industry right now, is everybody's trying to upsell ya. I guess they get kudos for that. But these young men didn't try to do that. So, I was very happy.

    Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Roswell

First off, their drivers work on commission. They tell you how much the fee is and then when they get there their goal is to make it more and more. I would never recommend them.    I called a number of places. Based on price their price was, maybe, $50 less than other prices I had. I was thinking it is a pretty reputable, big company. It is not a fly by night little neighborhood guy. They came and gave me a price. I think it was about $375 to empty our septic tank. They had to dig out our cap because it was more than two feet down so they said that was going to cost another $200. Then they said we had more in our tank than was normal so that was going to cost another $75. Then they said we had no chemicals in there and we needed chemicals so that was going to cost another $50 to $75. It ended up being over $1,000 when they got done. The real killer was the guy backed right over our front lawn when he was trying to back down the driveway. It completely dug up our whole lawn. It made the biggest mess you ever saw. They had to call a tow truck to get them out of my lawn. I called Mr. Rooter right away and told them somebody had to pay to repair my lawn and they said I had given the driver permission to do that. I told them I did not so they argued with me and were rude. He told me I was lying. He was the owner. I had taken pictures and he told me to send him the pictures and he would consider it. They finally paid for a lawn service to fix my lawn. It was totally a nightmare. I was supposed to meet him out here one day and he said he was here but he never came.

    Heritage Plumbing Inc
Had been having drainage problems for a while. Heritage inspected and determined that a new drain field was needed. The existing drain field was almost 30 years old and inadequate for the load. The old drain field was retained with a tool to open it in the future if additional capacity was ever needed. They also added a green riser lid, flush with the ground to facilitate easier access to empty the septic tank in the future without digging up the back yard.

It was refreshing to have someone do what they promised when they promised, and at a fair price. Great job on new drain field. Highly recommended!  Tommy Phillips (Heritage Plumbing) was a pleasure to work with!

    Amos Pump Service
they were originally scheduled to pump the septic tank but when the tank was found, it was under a concrete slab.  They charged a nominal fee for the trip out and I have scheduled with them to come back out and take care of the concrete issue and pump the tank.  They gave me options on what can be done to avoid the issue in the future.  They called when they were running a little late which was appreciated.  Polite and professional.

    Absolute Environmental
First scheduled on a Thursday. NO SHOW. NO CALL. Left message at office. Late in returning call so I rescheduled for Saturday. NO SHOW. NO CALL. Left message again. Rescheduled for Monday. (Yeah I'm a fool) NO SHOW. Got a call a half hour AFTER the two hour show up window: and quot;Hi I'm the guy who's gonna pump your septic.and quot; Me: and quot; When?and quot; HE HUNG UP ON ME. I probably lost about 8 hours waiting. I'm not living at this house right now so I just sat and read a book.

Septic alarm tripped on Thur. afternoon before a 3-day holiday weekend. Absolute were the only folks able to send someone on Sat. Their technician Cecil was a real pro and was happy to explain and show how the system works and how to maintain it. He easily fixed the problem, our alarm float in the pump tank had become detached. I could have ended the service call there, but had been interested since moving in to the home to do some system upgrades. Note .. this was my choice, there was NO pressure whatsoever on the part of the tech. I decided to install two risers on my access portals (previously they were completely covered by dirt) and also install a popup on the clean out. Absolute put the service visit fee to this new work.

In general, went very well. And we are happy with the service. Unfortunately, we have had a lot of root damage from the trees. They just need to be a little more careful around the big trees when the dig the trenches.
