    Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital
    After 2 wrong diagnosis in 4 days causing a critical time delay and further eye damage, it cost me 6 trips to Atlanta, many thousands of dollars of eye surgery and after care leaving my dog half blind in that eye and on medicine for the rest of his life. I am a disabled vet and he is my service dog and I trusted Critter Fixer, but I never will again. And they rang up the wrong size flea medicine a few yesrs ago and told me the price and I said I asked for the smaller size and a refund. They said they don't give refunds. I said this is not my error, this is your error, but she still refused to give me the refund. I swore I would never go back there again, but I had to rush my dog to the closest vet this time and the only vet we have in Byron is Critter Fixer so unfortunately ended up there. Emergencies or not I'll never go back there again. We truly need a better veterinarian service in Byron. FYI the new veterinarian emergency service in Centerville is $125 to walk in the door before you are charged any veterinarian service fees. But at least now we have a veterinarian working at night.

    We originally were a patient of that large pet store's veterinary hospital, but decided to use Critter Fixer to have our boy neutered. Just so happened that they were so kind, so professional, so efficient that we just started using them for everything. Their prices are FAR less than most vets in the area, Dr. Ferguson and his staff are some of the nicest people there are. You can usually get an appointment within a day, with some times they were able to fit me in the same day. Their hours are pretty convenient. I highly recommend them. Just try them out. You won't be disappointed.

    It was great as always. we have used this vet for about 9 years, he took care of our lab until she had to be put down and they were great through that, they had this little puppy who was brought to them that was found in a dumpster and they nursed him back,we decided to look at the puppy since we had just lost ours and we now have a cute little dog.I can not say enough things about Dr.Hillard and his staff.They are great.

    There is absolutely nothing worse than an untrained pet so when my husband and I decided to get a dog, the one thing that we definitely agreed on was that training would be #2 on the list (#1 being a thorough physical examination by a vet). 
    I contacted trainers who advertised everywhere. I asked a few coworkers, but funny enough, only 1 of them had actually hired a trainer (SHOCKING). One of my coworkers recommended Ben saying he seriously considered him at one time but many of his friends had used them and they had nothing but good things to say about him. The first plus he got from me is that he actually answered the phone and returned phone calls which I have discovered is an act of God in this area.
    My first conversation with Ben, he was extremely engaging and thorough. Instead of just telling me what he offered, he wanted to know what we wanted and expected in a trainer. He went through his experience and the one thing that you could tell from speaking to him is that not only does he love his profession, he loves animals. After speaking to him for a while, he recommended that I go to his website, filled out a questionnaire and we would go from there. The questionnaire was THOROUGH. Spoke about raising, training, behaviors he's already exhibited - all kinds of stuff. Even veterinary care. He's really concerned for the whole dog and not just the job you're paying him for. After filling it out, he emailed me and set up a time to come to our house for an in person consultation.
    When I say this man came prepared, he came PREPARED. A bag of treats, toys, doo dads. He played with the dog, he spoke to us, he even showed us a few things. In all, he was at our house about an hour and it was an hour jam packed with useful information for us and a play session with the pup, but do you know what really made us choose him? He thought that we were working with him FINE and he really didn't think we needed him for basic obedience training. He didn't want to take our money! I find that to be honest and the sign of a great business person. He's right, we could have continued to work with our boy and he would have eventually picked up the things we wanted him to learn, but we also know that experts can get you to the end result faster and with better methods. He offered training at an hourly rate or a package of 4 sessions and we chose the 4 sessions because it offered a small discount and I can foresee him being here not only the 4 sessions, but possibly another 4 so he can get some advanced training.
    None of the other people we eventually spoke to made such a great impression on me and besides him being prior military and my husband being a proponent of keeping small businesses around, we can't be more happy to be among his new customers.

    Blue Ribbon Boarding Kennels
    I like Blue Ribbon Boarding Kennels because they do not keep the pets in crates. They keep them in individual cages and they can go through this little hole that goes outside and there's a real grand fence around it. When they go out they're not with the other dogs and can go to the bathroom whenever they want to and that's a plus because most of the people who board dogs keep them in those cage things. We've used them like five or six times and they're very good and it's clean. We were on a cruise and called them to see how the dogs were doing and they talked to me and were there.

    I really like them. They treat our cat and when we go out of town we have to board so the cat can get its insulin. We have to give our cat shots twice a day. I am a nurse and I picked up on the symptoms of thirst and urination to determine the diabetes.

    Southwood Animal Hospital
    Just moved to this area need to have a vet for our 5dogs. Took them in for annual examinations. The wait in the reception area was a little long, perhaps 20+ minutes. I am allergic to cats, the examination room was FILLED with cat hair EVERYWHERE. They didn't even sweep between patients. My leashes were so covered in cat hair that I had to leave them outside hanging on the fence to let the wind and rain clean them off. The veterarian was professional and friendly. My largest complaint was their price structure. I have 5 dogs for heavens sake. Other vets have given us a group discount of at least 25% when we bring in more than 3 pets. Not these folks or if they did, they didn't tell me.
