    I needed to have the tank pumped and cleaned as part of the recommended maintenance. I was concerned about being "ripped off" and being charged additional fees or being told I would need additional work on the system. I researched the various companies doing septic work in the area. I selected this company based on the ratings and information provided via the website. When I scheduled the service I spoke with the owner who provided some additional information that was straightforward. On the day of the service the technicians arrived on time, actually a little early and they called before they arrived. I had requested that they dig up the soil by hand rather than with a tractor, which they did. The technicians were polite, professional and knowledgeable. They explained what they were doing and why. There was no attempt to sell me anything. I was pleased with the response and scheduling, the technicians who performed the work, replacing the dirt back over the covers (clean up), and the price was as quoted, there were no hidden charges. They left a clean work area. I was very pleased and will use them again, as well as recommend them to my neighbors.

    The Pink Plumber
    Pink plumber were scheduled 1-5 pm but actual arrived at 12:30 pm. The tech open the tank untangled the plumbers snake and pump the tank that had multiple baby wipes that a tenant improperly disposed into the plumbing. The companies that manufacture baby wipes and state they are dissolvable are lying to the general public. I have pics that show otherwise. But the septic company Pink Plumbers saved my bacon on a holiday Saturday weekend and the plumbing is flowing again Thanks Ben Harris and Pink Plumbers. Robert Wood

    It went great! The guys were very pleasant and helpful in assisting us in making a decision as to what absolutely needed to be done based on our budget. The only problem was that the guys got stuck in the driveway, which is dirt and gravel, on their way out. The ground was very soft due to all the rain we have had lately. I felt sorry for the guys because everything was going so good. I would recommend these guys again.

    Surprisingly better than anticipated. Once I heard that that the original seal was still intact and the septic had likely never been pumped, I started fearing the worst. While not having any known issues, we have all heard the horror stories of the system failing...and mine was 20 years in the making. In the end, in addition to the pumping, we only needed to replaced the baffle. It wasn't until later that I learned from my husband that we are outside of Arnold's service area...but they came anyways! Not only would I highly recommend these guys, we will be using them again in the future.

    Better than expected after we got the dire news. We ended up having to replace the baffle, but we got SUPER lucky and that was the only repair we needed. And it was a fraction of the cost of what friends have paid...and a fraction of needed repairs. Which means only a fraction of my yard had to be dug up. I HIGHLY recommend these guys.

    Our experience with JC Septic Service was excellent.  They are professional; knowledgeable; and recommended by several of our s/d homeowners. Since we had not had our septic system clean since we moved in 12 years ago; we weren't sure what to expect.   We could not have been more pleased when Phillip arrived and proceeded to set-up.  He was very thoughtful and very respectful of our lawn. He laid a tarp down to minimize the amount of sod / lawn he had to cut a way. Once he pumped the system; he confirmed that everything was working properly; he explained that our system for its age was in very good condition.  He did  explained that at the time our septic system was installed they used a concrete outlet; which appears to be deteriorating (which is normal); however, he felt it was in decent shape nothing to worry about anytime soon.  After weighing the risk it could deteriorate sooner then the next service call (5-7yrs based on the current condition) and a more expensive job to repair & replace we decided to opt in replacing the concrete outlet tee with PVC (which will last forever) while Phillip was here.  He had all of the pieces and tool to complete and it didn't take him very long to wrap up.  By no means did he try to push us; it was entirely our call. It was an additional $400; but provided that piece of mind.

    I am an extremely busy person who NEVER has time to write reviews of any sort? but 11 months later, my experience with Septic Medics is still stuck in me so bad I finally made time to share my experience with the rest of the world.

    It all started in September of 2014 when my septic system backed up because it was pretty much full. At the time, I had my house for 4 years, and the previous owners apparently never cleaned it out.  I searched around, and other companies that came highly recommended by friends and neighbors were booked for 3+ weeks.  The one positive thing I CAN say about Septic Medics is that they were available and arrived promptly? but that is the only compliment I can offer.

    When the crew of FOUR men arrived at my house, I had the illusion that I was going to be well taken care of.  After some brief interaction where I expressed uncertainty about the problem or the size of my tank (1000 or 1500 gallons), one of the techs did some ?measurements? with a probe rod and swiftly determined my tank was 1500 gallons (a $150 up-charge for pump service over the standard $345 for 1000 gallons).  I gave them the go-ahead to investigate, and they brought out the back-hoe.  After about 10 minutes, I came back out to find a big hole in my yard, tank exposed, and the handle on my tank lid busted off.  Once they finally got the lid off (with sledge & pry bar), it was clear the tank needed pumped, and they performed that service with a super-sized truck that also worked rather efficiently.  After the pumping, the team supervisor told me I needed a new ?upgraded? $350 trap filter, which I declined.  Total bill for pumping: $495.  The team supervisor warned me, though, that this might not resolve the core issue, and if I still had problems they may need to come back for more extensive remediation.  I paid and went back inside while they closed up the tank and hole in the ground.

    I was a bit unnerved by the overall demeanor of the service team, and the questionable sales tactics of the team supervisor, but overall at the time I was fine with the outcome.  That WAS until about 4 WEEKS later when my tank stopped up again.  My "worst-case-scenario" paranoia heightened, but so did my skepticism... so I called in another company to take a look.  This company sent TWO men who dug the hole by hand, pulled up the lid, and removed the catch filter.  The tank drained swiftly, and we were left looking at a perfectly operational septic system with a catch filter that was bogged down with residue all the way to the end.  These techs evaluated the trap and told me this could NOT have accumulated and embedded in this trap in just 4 weeks time.  They also told me they would never have tried to replace the trap I had, as it was one of the latest designs on the market.  THEN, here is the kicker? they also informed me I actually had a 1000 gallon tank, and not the 1500 gallon tank the Septic Medics told me I had (this is one of the simplest assessments a septic "professional" can make).  The new company cleaned my trap filter properly, replaced it, and closed up the tank.  An extra $200 service call charge, and I was all set.  10 months later, still not one single problem with my system.

    I can only speculate whether the trap was intentionally left clogged by the Septic Medics in order to create an illusion of something more severe, but there are other ethical breaches by the Septic Medic team I can more firmly point to:  particularly the overestimation of the tank size (which they should have EASILY been able to confirm after the tank was emptied), and the exaggerated "professional opinion" that implied an inadequacy of the trap filter I had in the unit.  All in all, I was out $700 for what should have been a routine $350 pumping of a 1000 gallon unit? but I honestly I have to say I feel lucky that I did not call Septic Medics back for what would likely have led to many more unnecessary expenses.  Needless to say I will NEVER, EVER, EVER do any more business with Septic Medics? even if I have to wait 4 weeks for someone more competent and or ethical to take care of my needs.  I'll get a hotel if I have to.

    BEWARE of the highly marketed ?big company? attitude that ends up driving a sales incentive approach to keep the lights on.  I can almost guarantee you will be WAY better served by a small company that comes, does their business, and relies on GOOD, HONEST work to keep their clientele coming back.

    Pumping went well but the PRICE changed after service was provided!!!!!
    In short I was quoted one price and charged another. When I spoke to the owned Billy Bell he was rude and not willing to honor the quoted price unless they brought 500 gal of waste back to my house.

    I called Billy Bell Plumbing on a Saturday 3/14/15 and spoke with Sandra, I explained that I had a 1000 gallon tank with a riser that was overflowing, I also told Sandra that I had about 100 people expected later that day for a cookout. Sandra then quoted me a price of $450.00 which I thought was high but it was overflowing and on the weekend so I expected the price to be a bit higher. I was also in a jam and needed it done so I agreed.
    Marty was the drive who called to get the address and directions. When he arrived he walked around to see what the problem was. Because the tank has a riser on it I know exactly where it is so you dont have to locate the tank and there is no digging involved just move the pine straw and remove the lid. Marty removed the lid and the tank was full and overflowing as I had told Sandra it was.
    Marty asked me when the last time I had the tank pumped. I told him I had a different company out about two months before but they had only pumped part of the tank because they raised there price once they got on sight. I told them to pump 1000 gal for the quoted price and then they could pack up and leave.
    Marty and I spoke for several minutes about the fact that the drain field was not working properly and what would be required to correct the problem with the septic system. We talked about how many feet of drain field are require per bedroom based on county code and the fact my yard was small and it would be difficult to fit that many feet of drain field in my yard.
    Because of the coming cookout I was more concerned about just getting it working for now and we could discuss repair options later. Marty then told me they had a chemical treatment they could try which could possibly get the drain field to work agian. The price for this treatment would be $300. I said I was a little tight on funds because of the cost involved in the cookout and asked what the total cost would be with the treatment. Marty said "let me just pump it first" then he went to hook up the hose and start pumping,he then asked "do you want me to pump it dry?" and I said yes thinking that was what I had been quoted for.
    When he finished pumping he then brought me the invoice with a price of $550.00. I asked him what happened to the $450 price I was quoted. He told me that was for 1000 gal and he pumped more so he would have to charge me for 1500 gal price.
    We talked about how I had explained on the phone it was more the 1000 gal (it is a 1000 gal tank with a riser and overflowing) so The person should have known it would be more than the 1000 gal price. 
    Now I was "officially p***** off" as I told Marty. I was going to pay the higher price but would not use Billy Bell plumbing again. I told him the extra $100 had cost them any chance at the repair of my system and asked him to have Billy Bell call me.
    Monday I waited until 1:30 to give Billy Bell a chance to call me but when he did not I called him. I was told he was not in the office  but leave a number and he would call me back. Twenty minutes later he call back from his office. He and I had a conversation about what had happened and he said they would bring 500 gal of waste back to my home and refund the $100 difference. Once I could get Billy to let me complete a sentence before he interrupted me I explained I was not asking for anything from him I just wanted to make sure he was aware of what had happened before I wrote my review. He told me Marty had called him on Saturday and he had looked at the truck himself to see how much had been pumped. He told me Marty (230 lbs. man) felt threatened by me ( a 190 lb. man in a wheelchair) and wanted to let him know what had happened. (He did not call me on Saturday to get my side of the story). At one point Billy brought God into the conversation by saying he was watching, to which I told Billy Yes he is.
