    Encompass Contracting LLC
Encompass contracting did a great job with my repairs. They were professional and reliable. Jamie offered great suggestions from repair needs to paint colors. I would definitely recommend Encompass contracting and would hire them again myself. Encompass installed a new roof, replaced multiple pieces of siding, fascia, and trim. Painted the entire exterior and powerwashed my driveway and patio. Installed new gutters.

    ACME HOME IMPROVEMENT
In the process of reflooring my kitchen, the company I hired to do the floors encountered several problems. The greatest of which were rot and termite damage to the structural part of the laundry and storage room. Before we could continue with the flooring we had to get these repairs completed. I found ACME Home Improvement on Saturday morning. I called, Scott answered the phone. He was at my house to survey the problem within an hour of the time we set up the appointment.

He was very professional as well as reassuring that this was a fixable problem that could be completed in a few days. He wrote
up a detailed description of the work he was going to do and gave me a price. He said that he would start Wednesday of the following week.  He completed a job sooner and came Tuesday morning instead.
His truck and worker arrived early and got to work. Scott updated me on his progress as they completed each phase. They finished on time and left the environment clean.
Scott seems to love his work and take pride in doing a good job. There are other projects we talked about in the future. I am very thankful there are still people in business like Scott.

    Riverside Painting
The finished job looks great, but not before a few issues with the workers  "wanting"  to do the right thing until their management got involved.  They claimed that after replacing  the trim around the windows,  it wasn't  possible to square up the pieces because the original trim is made of wood and the replaced trim is a PVC material.  They were also reluctant to paint the left and right sides of my garage door ( approx. 2 inches in width) because the sides are covered by the rubber weather stripping when the door is in the closed position.  Several areas were missed on the bottom side of the wood siding, but were corrected  when asked.  After the job was finished and paid in full, I noticed that the trim around my fireplace was not painted.  I strongly suggest that if you use this contractor, or any other one for that matter,  to pay attention to the job while it is in progress.  Come up with a checklist of things that need to be addressed and touched-up.   Have the list handy so that when the workers tell you that they are done, and they will be anxious to be done with the job,  present them  with the list.  It'll  save you a lot of grief in the end.  I just wish that I would have caught the fireplace trim before it was too late.  In closing,  I have to say that my experience with the management was excellent.  They made sure that their workers corrected the aforementioned  issues.

    A Nu Age Home Exteriors
After interviewing and reference checking of over half a dozen contractors we decided to go with Robert, owner of A Nu Age Home Exteriors because he was very experienced, and had a good eye for design. We met with him and talked over the phone on several occasions before we made a final decision.  Robert has an eye for design and helped me pick out the right windows that would make our house look great and be cost efficient at the same time. He recommended casement windows for the bay window and kitchen that makes both rooms look bigger and brighter.  He also recommended putting a designer casing around the garage door. He also recommended a great color for the house paint. He added a lot of extras that I wanted, some of the other contractors I talked to would do the extras for extra money, down to charging me extra to paint one leg of the back porch while they paint the house.  Some of the contractors are ridiculous with their nickel and diming you. Robert is not like that. I can tell he takes pride in what he does and wants the houses he works on to look great because he has pride in his work.
We signed the contract on 9/11/12. They ordered the windows.

On 10/6/12 Alan Murphy and his crew came with the windows. They were very professional and Alan's experience showed in his work. He replaced all of the windows, I was told by a few contractors that this would be a difficult job due to the type of windows that were put in when the house was built in 1993.  Alan and his team had no problems. He also replaced a sliding glass door leading to the back porch. I was told by a some contractors that it would be impossible to replace because the porch was built onto the edge of sliding glass door. Alan had no problem and we love our new door. He also put in a new window in a bedroom that had little light. The new window looks so good on what was a bare wall. They did a great job and we love our new windows. Alan's attention to detail was very good down to clean up, he actually vacuumed the room where he had to cut out and frame the new window.
Robert and his siding crew were here on wednesday to start the siding job. This crew did a phenomenal job. They worked very hard. They got the siding very straight. I had looked at some other contractors siding jobs and saw areas on homes that weren't straight so this was a concern. The siding crew also did a wall on my back porch thats not connected to the house for me with some left over siding, this was not in the bid but they did it for free. We did tip them for this, but it makes our back porch look great! We absolutely loved this crew.
Next was the painter and his crew. They were very professional. The painter got to work, it took a couple days for them to caulk the house to prepare for the paint. They did a wonderful job. The next step was painting. They did a great job on the painting as well. The paint color that Robert suggested is awesome. It actually changes color in different light. It's a light tan in the sun, a light grey at sun-set. Our neighbors love the new look. Our house looks almost new now and we love it!

The owner came out and he was terrific. His customer service skills and his people skills. He took the time to go over things. He didn't mind the fact that we had four dogs running around.
