Ron's Lawn Care, Roofing Repairs, Fencing
I got the quote and I purchased all the materials for them to start. They started the job on a Friday and the city code enforcer came by to say the fence had to be with finished side facing out. They stopped their work to get direction from me on how to proceed. Ronnie's brother came to me and said Ronnie had quit and walked off the job because he was stressed but not to worry because he and his son would complete the job. They returned the following day and when they told me the job was finished I paid them. I have cataracts on both eyes so I didn't notice that half the fence wasn't secured at the bottom. I have a friend who does home inspections and was looking over the fence for me after I noticed the boards were warped and buckling. He took me to see the boards close up and we found them loose, cracking and unsecured to the posts. We immediately called Ronnie and Randy to explain the problem. Randy said he would be out the following Saturday. However I received an email after 10 pm the night before that he was cancelling. It's been over a week since that conversation and neither of them have been back to correct the shoddy work. In addition they took away all the boxes of screws that I purchased for the job. I have given them a few weeks now so I am writing this because of the negative email response I got from Ronnie and refusal to come back. They all know that my husband is disabled and is going in for a heart operation very soon. Without any remorse they caused me a great deal of stress anyway.

    Outdoor Makeover & Construction
Consult - We called Navid and Outdoor Makeover Construction out based on their online reviews. We knew we had a large vision for what we would like our back yard to look/feel like, but we also knew we would be doing this in stages. Navid came to our home, walked the property and spent a good chunk of time with us. He was incredibly helpful in providing ideas and information relevant to the vision we shared with him. Best of all he listened. We knew we were not experts, but that we had an idea and we were really looking for someone to collaborate with us on the project. Navid provided his expertise, was warm and humorous the entire time. This was important because we were slightly nervous not having had work like this done before. While he was there he drafted a plan for us, priced it and provided us time to discuss. Both my wife and I did not wait, but signed him on. We had called 3 other companies prior - 2 never returned our calls and the 3rd set up a time to come by and never showed. This may have helped in our impression of Navid, but even if the other showed I would probably still have been impressed. The Project - The project took a total of 2 days. Navid's crew showed up when we were told they would be there. All of his team was respectful, efficient and knew what they were doing. Navid was on site regularly and was always in contact with us via text/phone. The crew cleaned up the entire site - removed debris, rinsed and over all left the place in fantastic shape. The Walk Through - Navid scheduled a final walk through for us to discuss the project, ensure our satisfaction and bring the project to a close. We were not satisfied with a cosmetic piece of the patio - that day he had one of his crew come out and remedy the situation. We would highly recommend Navid and his team - and we will certainly be using his group in the future.

    Dreamscape Designs Inc
The yard work was fine ... when they showed up.  Dreamscapes was unable to keep to a regular schedule.  When our yard went 3 weeks without a mow, Brett Canady, our service representative, took an argumentative tone as opposed to trying to make it right.  Of course, that was after having to track him down for 2 days to get a return phone call.  For a service industry, these guys are missing the boat on customer satisfaction.  I would not recommend them to others.

Fantastic, Greg fit me in on a weekend day (during his busy season) and did the work personally to do so. He showed up ready to work and did not stop until he was satisfied that I was satisfied. I had built a large retaining wall and backfilled the whole thing by hand so it was a very labor intensive job that I had undertook. I was 1 dumptruck load of dirt away from completion and had a hill to dig out  which is where Greg came in; he had the dirt delivered and moved it across the street with grading. He also finished cutting the hill back to create the two level terrace that I wanted to make (2  level areas). Along the way we came across some buried tree stumps that even though they were tough, we both went at it until they were gone. Even the dump truck driver  (owner of his own company) said that Greg was the only person he would get out of bed at 5am on a Saturday to make one delivery for - that says a lot.
Greg is a bit of a no nonsense guy, as I said,he showed ready to go and did not stop. He offered to move the several yards of 57 stone across the street for me (hours and hours of hard labor if I did it), and I asked for a few similar tasks to be performed where it was a little time with the machine versus hours of my labor and his answer was always "sure, no problem" (he may have taken pity on me after seeing the amount of work I had done by hand).
Even though the job had taken longer than he expected and even with the few extars that I asked for, he did not even try to raise the price. I raised it myself from $325 to $350 ( this included the cost of the delivery of the dirt) and still that was way more than fair.
Of all the contractors and companies that I have had at the house since purchasing it (painters, hardwoods, insulation, landscapers etc, etc, etc) Greg is one of the two best and I would hire him again and recommend him in an instant

He was excellent and I was very pleased. Two contractors that I contacted didn't even want to bid on the work. They didn't want to do it because it was very messy and time-consuming work. The Yard Artist was the only company that even gave me a bid. He had a wonderful crew and they worked really hard. The weather was terrible; it was cold and raining. They worked so hard to get the work done. My husband and I just can't believe how much value we got for $1,500. They did so much work. They were here around 5 days. They had to work several half days because of the weather. We were incredibly pleased with the quality and quantity of the work. With his overall approach to my yard, he had a lot more common sense and was a lot more budget-minded than other companies. He suggested that I wait until fall to fill and seed because of the hot summer, unlike some of the other companies. I felt that he was a smarter landscape designer. Everybody wanted to do the easy and fun stuff; he was the only one that would do the clearing. Basically I have a briar patch in my backyard, which was very difficult work. One company did give me a bid of $4,500. They were very neat and didn't leave a mess. They did everything on the list and there was no hassle. Once they got here there was very little communication with me. They basically did their job and I went about my business. I paid them upon completion. I plan to hire them in the future.

Perfect. Darrell and the Thrasher crew were there on time. They completed the job and the cleanup was amazing. My yard looks great and we plan to call them back when we're to do the backyard.

Frank came by and gave an estimate that was good for several weeks, services rendered were excellent. We had a minor scheduling issue, but were able to work it out no problem.
