    Bautista Painting
Bautista Painting did an EXCELLENT JOB painting the entire interior of my home! I bought an older townhome that still had ugly beige paint and the original wood trim throughout (window frames, door frames, baseboards, doors, etc.). It was a labor intensive job that required a lot of prepping, sanding, caulking, patching, etc. They were timely, thorough, and efficient. They were also polite and professional. I would absolutely recommend them and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

    Atlanta Bookshelves
I was so excited to have built-ins installed after I bought my house. It was a HUGE expenditure for me. Unfortunately, I am so upset with the final product that I can't even stand to be in that room - it makes me too mad. I had two conversations with the owner about what I wanted. Both times I was very clear that I wanted bookshelves that went to the ceiling (and I confirmed it with him multiple times - he said they would do that and put crown moulding around the whole room). I also said that I wanted TWO file drawers on each side of the desk opening, and I confirmed that multiple times. I also asked for a pencil drawer above the desk opening. All of these details were included in my original request for an estimate. The first set of plans I received had the shelves going to the ceiling but did not have the pencil drawer. I asked them to add it and to adjust the width of the bookshelves. The new plans did not have the height measurment but I assumed it would be the same as the originals because I did not ask for it to be changed. None of the plans had the heights of the drawers but, since I had asked for a total of four file drawers and since they all appeared to be the same height, I assumed that I would get four file drawers (my fault for making any assumptions that they would do what I asked). The resulting final product had a gap of about a foot between the top of the shelves and the ceiling (dust trap but not large enough a space to put anything in). They installed one file drawer on each side of the desk and one drawer that is too short to be used for files but too high to be functional for anything else. The overall desk unit is WAY too low to use. So now I have a desk that I can't sit at and that no one taller than 5'2" will even be able to fit their knees under. I asked them to fill in the gap between the top of the shelves and the celing. It took them MONTHS to get to it. And when they did it, it looks worse than the gap did. They used a totally different color paint for the filler board than for the original unit. Because my house isn't totally square it is now very apparent that one side is shorter than the other - something that would have been concealed if the shelves went all the way to the ceiling as they were supposed to. The crew that actually installed the unit was great. Truly fabulous. The problems were all with the owner who drew up the plans - and with the terrible customer service. The crew just installed what they had been given. DO NOT TRUST THEM TO DO WHAT YOU ASKED FOR. RECORD EVERY SINGLE CONVERSATION THAT YOU HAVE WITH THE OWNER SO THAT YOU HAVE PROOF OF WHAT YOU AGREED TO. INSIST THAT EVERY SINGLE MEASUREMENT BE INCLUDED ON EVERY SINGLE SET OF REVISIONS TO THE PLANS. MAKE NO ASSUMPTIONS THAT THEY WILL DO WHAT YOU ASKED FOR. But better yet, don't use this company at all. I am so sad that the room I was so looking forward to now makes me so upset that I can't stand to go into it. If I were rich, I would pay some other company to tear it out and completely rebuild. But I am not, so now I am stuck with a unusable built-in desk, and a ton of wasted and ugly space on the top.

    Gonzalez Painting
I recently purchased a home and hired GONZALEZ PAINTING to paint the entire interior. They arrived for the free quote on time and answered all of my questions. We scheduled the painting to begin the day after my closing. The painting crew arrived on time on Saturday morning. Everyone was friendly and very professional. The foreman was extremely helpful and assisted me in picking out the perfect paint colors for my new home. The workers were efficient and extremely skillful. The estimated completion of the job was 3 days. The painting crew asked if they could work on Sunday and I said yes. To my surprise and joy, they finished the entire job on Sunday working until 6:30 pm to complete. After completing the job, they removed all paper and left my home as they found it. I am so happy with the finished project that I have told all of my friends and family about Gonzalez Painting. I would and have recommended them to anyone looking for an affordable well-done painting job. I will be painting the exterior of my house later in the year there is no question as to who I will call to complete the job. Every time I open my front door and walk into my newly painted Repose Gray foyer, I smile. Thank you Luis and Gonzalez Painting for giving my house a facelift and putting a smile on my face. Rhonda Johnson a very happy customer.

G and G Drywall and Paint Services
They were on time every morning and worked hard all day long. They even came back on Saturday and Sunday to paint. Everyone was pleasant and professional. I work from home and was in an adjoining room and they were very quiet, not even a radio! They did a great job. I couldn't be happier. We would definitely use them again and I will recommend them to friends and neighbors!

    Xact Restorations LLC
I never tell anyone who to hire. That is always the choice of the individual. I just share my experience. I was looking to hire Mr. Ruth to help me after a flood destroyed a good part of my home. After hearing far too many discrepancies in Mr. Ruth's rough quotes, and his constant push to up sell me, I decided not to hire him. Knowing that I had no knowledge of the remodeling/insurance process, Mr. Ruth coerced me into allowing him to buy paint even before I received the insurance checks. But I did know enough not to give him a paint deposit. When I said that I would just buy the paint myself after a contract is agreed upon, he pushed me to have him buy it early. He said it would save me money because I would get the sales event pricing for that month plus his contractor's discount. After I told him I was going to use someone else, I offered to buy the paint back from him in good faith. He sent me an invoice for almost double what he would have paid for the paint. (I actually had to contact the paint store to get the information because Mr. Ruth refused to let me see the original invoices. ) He didn't include the sales event pricing or his discount he first offered me, and it seemed to include labor that was not performed. Due to Mr. Ruth getting his attorney involved right away, I was forced to seek legal counsel. Per an attorney's suggestion, I sent Mr. Ruth an offer and acceptance letter with a check for an amount closer to the actual sales pricing of the paint. In good faith, I waived his discount, and even added some labor. In that letter, again per the attorney's suggestion, I made sure that it CLEARLY stated that if he accepted the check that he would be releasing me from all civil claims and disputes. This would have been an easy and quick way to settle the whole dispute. Mr. Ruth deposited my check almost immediately. After that I received notification that Mr. Ruth had placed a lien on my home for remodeling work that he claims that he had done, and for materials that he used to remodel my home. No remodeling work has ever been done to my home by Mr. Ruth. My home is still in the same state that it was over a year ago. The only material provided was the paint that I had paid for before the lien was placed. When I reached out to his attorney to remind him of the agreement made when his client deposited my check, I then received an email that included a version of the offer and acceptance letter legal document that had been altered to favor Mr. Ruth. The section that mentioned releasing me from civil claims and disputes, which was the main purpose of the letter, had been removed. That letter also served as a paint guarantee, which is now null and void due to the alteration of the letter. So Mr. Ruth took my money in bad faith, placed a false lien on my home, and he still has the paint. He also refused to add things to a contract such as a start and finish date. After I did more research I realized that consumer watchdog groups strongly suggest that you should get a start and finish date on a contract, and also a plan on the contract if that finish date should not be met. Mr. Ruth refused to add anything stating that contractors don't give finish dates. I have been dealing with this issue going on 9 months now. I provided a lot of proof to Mr. Ruth's attorney showing how the letter had been altered, including proof of it written on and printed from a friend's computer, an affidavit from that friend stating that they saw me type it and that they proofread it, and an affidavit from the attorney that suggested the offer and acceptance letter. Mr. Ruth's attorney responded saying that Mr. Ruth refuses to remove the lien...unless I agree to "fully and completely waive and release any and all claims against Mr. Ruth and/or his company and keep everything regarding this dispute and agreement confidential". So if I agree to let him have my money, and then also keep quiet about all that he's done, they will remove a lien that was placed against my home using false information. I just think people need to be very aware of how this company, and its owner, does business.

    Green Basements and Remodeling
Green's came highly recommended to me from a friend who was considering using them for a remodeling project. Alex was my salesperson and he was very thorough and patient. He made recommendations and gave me some ideas of things to do, which I really appreciated. I never felt pressured to make a decision until I was completely satisfied. I trusted him! Green?s has a showroom with everything you need for the project. You just go there and pick out what you want. It made things so much easier. I was assigned a decorator who helped me pick out the colors I wanted, tile, cabinets, etc. She was great! After I signed the contract and made my selections for the project I was assigned a Project Manager who would be my main contact (Michael) for the duration of the project. A lot of companies don?t do this and the fact that they do was a major selling point for me. Alex, Michael and I had a kickoff meeting to go through the contract to make sure there were no questions and that we were all clear on the work to be done. We also set expectations on both sides. After that they started the work. When they arrived they covered my carpets and stairs with plastic and put down some heavy type of cardboard on my hardwood floors to protect them. They also covered my furniture and for the most part were careful not to damage my things. The crews are employees of the company, which is nice so you don?t have to worry about random contractors being in your house that may or may not do a good job. The crew for the most
part was good. They were all professional, but some were more conscientious in the work they did. I?m very particular! If there was something I didn?t like I called Michael and he had them either redo it or fix it. At the end of the day they cleaned up their work area and took any trash they had down to my garage to be picked up by another crew. Michael was great throughout the entire process. He was responsive, always professional, and took care of any concerns I had so I didn?t have to deal with the office staff or crew myself. He would come by two or three times a week to check on everything and was also very easy to work with. He has been in the construction business a long time so he?s very knowledgeable. He was always very calm which was good because I had never been through major construction like this. I trusted him and he is a super nice guy. I am really happy with the quality of work they did and it looks amazing. I will definitely work with them again on any future needs I have and highly recommend them.
Note: If you have never done any remodeling be prepared for a lot of dirt and dust, there is no way around it. You also need to be flexible on when the crews will be there and the time they arrive. They are juggling different projects so even though they may have you scheduled at 8:00am, it may be 10:00am until they arrive. Emergencies come up; a job before yours may have
taken longer than expected, traffic is unpredictable, etc. Also, there may be times when no one comes for 2 or 3 days, again it?s just part of construction. Just roll with it!
