    The company responded and set up an appointment shortly after we claimed a "deal" it was offering on Angie's list. The deal was for a certain number of hours. They came and installed the bi-fold doors for our laundry room and corrected the frame that may have caused the original doors to fail. When they had finished, they had more time on our "deal", so they also looked at a problem we were having with the lock on our French doors and repaired those before they left! They went the extra mile, were punctual, courteous, diligent, and capable and we will definitely call them again when we have a need.

    I hired Russ, and Intown Craftsmen, to repair a good bit of termite damage in my house, and to make matters worse, it was on a load bearing wall joist. Every other company I spoke to said that the upstairs walls and floors would probably crack, since the floor had to be jacked up. Not only did Intown Craftsmen repair the damage very well, but they were so careful with the jacks, that there wasn't a speck of damage on the upper floors. They did a great job on the repairs, and even with the clean up as well. I *highly* recommend Intown Craftsmen for your easy or tough projects!

    I wholeheartedly and resoundingly recommend Intown Craftsmen!! From Deb to Russ Melton (Intown Craftsmen's owner, who came to my house to assess the situation and give me an estimate) to Luke, the Intown Craftsmen employee who did the carpentry prep work, every person I dealt with at Intown Craftsmen provided excellent, caring service. Although my job was a small one compared to many of the large-scale projects Intown Craftsmen handles, it was really important to me--especially after having been without a working stove for over a week. Deb and Russ were super responsive to my phone calls and texts and also put my mind at ease about things. They also have really good senses of humor (#bonus)!! I am happy to report that, the day after Luke's work on my countertops and floor, my stove was successfully delivered!!

    I never tell anyone who to hire. That is always the choice of the individual. I just share my experience. I was looking to hire Mr. Ruth to help me after a flood destroyed a good part of my home. After hearing far too many discrepancies in Mr. Ruth's rough quotes, and his constant push to up sell me, I decided not to hire him. Knowing that I had no knowledge of the remodeling/insurance process, Mr. Ruth coerced me into allowing him to buy paint even before I received the insurance checks. But I did know enough not to give him a paint deposit. When I said that I would just buy the paint myself after a contract is agreed upon, he pushed me to have him buy it early. He said it would save me money because I would get the sales event pricing for that month plus his contractor's discount. After I told him I was going to use someone else, I offered to buy the paint back from him in good faith. He sent me an invoice for almost double what he would have paid for the paint. (I actually had to contact the paint store to get the information because Mr. Ruth refused to let me see the original invoices. ) He didn't include the sales event pricing or his discount he first offered me, and it seemed to include labor that was not performed. Due to Mr. Ruth getting his attorney involved right away, I was forced to seek legal counsel. Per an attorney's suggestion, I sent Mr. Ruth an offer and acceptance letter with a check for an amount closer to the actual sales pricing of the paint. In good faith, I waived his discount, and even added some labor. In that letter, again per the attorney's suggestion, I made sure that it CLEARLY stated that if he accepted the check that he would be releasing me from all civil claims and disputes. This would have been an easy and quick way to settle the whole dispute. Mr. Ruth deposited my check almost immediately. After that I received notification that Mr. Ruth had placed a lien on my home for remodeling work that he claims that he had done, and for materials that he used to remodel my home. No remodeling work has ever been done to my home by Mr. Ruth. My home is still in the same state that it was over a year ago. The only material provided was the paint that I had paid for before the lien was placed. When I reached out to his attorney to remind him of the agreement made when his client deposited my check, I then received an email that included a version of the offer and acceptance letter legal document that had been altered to favor Mr. Ruth. The section that mentioned releasing me from civil claims and disputes, which was the main purpose of the letter, had been removed. That letter also served as a paint guarantee, which is now null and void due to the alteration of the letter. So Mr. Ruth took my money in bad faith, placed a false lien on my home, and he still has the paint. He also refused to add things to a contract such as a start and finish date. After I did more research I realized that consumer watchdog groups strongly suggest that you should get a start and finish date on a contract, and also a plan on the contract if that finish date should not be met. Mr. Ruth refused to add anything stating that contractors don't give finish dates. I have been dealing with this issue going on 9 months now. I provided a lot of proof to Mr. Ruth's attorney showing how the letter had been altered, including proof of it written on and printed from a friend's computer, an affidavit from that friend stating that they saw me type it and that they proofread it, and an affidavit from the attorney that suggested the offer and acceptance letter. Mr. Ruth's attorney responded saying that Mr. Ruth refuses to remove the lien...unless I agree to "fully and completely waive and release any and all claims against Mr. Ruth and/or his company and keep everything regarding this dispute and agreement confidential". So if I agree to let him have my money, and then also keep quiet about all that he's done, they will remove a lien that was placed against my home using false information. I just think people need to be very aware of how this company, and its owner, does business.

    Butch was not only extremely professional but prompt, thorough and no-nonsense. I felt like he gave me an honest estimate for the work and after hearing the quote, I immediately agreed, went out and got the paint while the guys started setting up the space for painting. They were done in a matter of hours and I am very pleased with the results. I would not only use Butch again for interior painting but I am considering hiring him for some other maintenance around the house. I was really pleased with my first Angie's List experience.

    Kenny did excellent work.
     My home is not in an area that he normally services, but he agreed to perform the repairs for me anyway.
    He was punctual, friendly and paid attention to details that I would have overlooked.
    Although my initial job didn't require a full 8 hours of his time, he completed some projects for me and made sure that the "Deal" that I paid for was the deal I got.
    I was so impressed with the quality of his work and his work ethic, that I referred him to my daughter who is a first time homeowner.
    I would highly recommend H&G Remodeling.

    First off, I rarely write a review from my contractors, but I was pleasantly surprised from the service provided by Mike and I think you should know the service provided. 

    I had Mike make adjustments to 4 doors (that didn't latch correctly), weathered proofed my front door and fix a granite counter top that was sagging.  The biggest issue in my mind was the sagging countertop that was very poorly installed.  Mike was able to determine quickly the best way to correct the issue, which I am happy to say it looks great.  This fix saved me from replacing the countertop, which could have cost me thousands of dollars and he honored his quoted price!  I would recommend Mike to my family and friends if they needed normal fixes or something out of the ordinary.    Give him a try you will be pleasantly surprised and the results will speak for themselves!

    Up front we were told the repairs could take 2-3 days and it ended up taking about 2 1/2 days. They started the day they promised, too. The roofing was done the first day ��and everything was well cleaned up afterwards. While there's always going to be some missed��nails and old shingles we've found very few. They even cleaned out the flower pots on the patio! The interior work was done over three days. Joe & Phil were very thorough, considerate and remarkably quiet - I was able to work quite easily while they were here. They also closed off the work areas with plastic to minimize dust and took care of our hardwood floors. They did great work - you can't even tell where the problem areas were.
    They also volunteered to fix the bracket and reinstall it so we could fly our American flag again.
