ACasteel Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & ElectricalI can’t say enough great things about Casteel for all the services they provide. But, for this post specifically, we moved into a home just over 1 year ago knowing the system was very old (1994) and could have issues sooner rather than later. A recent service visit from Casteel validated that not only was our system old, but operating inefficiently and under capacity. We had a Steve follow up with us later that same day who analyzed our current system and calculated that it was under capacity. The home, when built, did not have a finished basement which, when added later prior to our occupancy, simply tapped into the existing system resulting in doubling the space the initial system was not rated to handle. Steve designed for us a new system sufficient for our needs and at 3 price-point options. We elected to do a complete replacement. Though that option was the most expensive, it was attractively discounted. We still got a great deal, a 10-year warranty, plus 2 years semi-annual service check ups. The installation team arrived on time as scheduled led by Kyle and another Steve, plus several other team members to install our new HVAC and heat pump. They dropped tarps within the interior of our home from used exterior doors to the basement and attic work locations. They did an excellent and professional installation to include upgrading to current code, Re-plumbing all lines, installing new thermostats, and adding a return air vent in the basement which had not been done when the basement was finished. They worked long and hard all day long, installation is clean, neat, and professional in appearance, and cleaned up afterwards exceptionally. I commend each and every one of them for a job well done! I highly recommend Casteel for all your heating, air, plumbing, electrical needs. I have used Casteel for all of these services because each and every time Casteel is punctual, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, neat, and highly-competent providing their services. ( I have experience in this type of work, as part of my job [retired/disabled] was to oversee x-Ray/CT/MRI system installations) Henry is a knowledgeable and professional worker. He came prepared and "had all his ducks in a row". I watched him for a few minutes and decided he needed no overseeing. I would check in once in a while to see if he needed anything. Each time I would note his progress and mentally applaud. We ended up with a breaker box with a lifetime warranty and $75,000 surge protection warranty.- Richard B.

FI had a gas leak in one of my furnaces, Atlanta Gas light came out to verify the leak. I call TE Certified because of the great Angie's list reviews and I previously used them before on another project. All I wanted was the gas leak repair and to inspect the 2nd unit that I had. The technician told me that I had mold in my downstairs unit and it needed replacing. After checking the upstairs unit after about 5 mins he came down and said that he had to shut my furnace down because it has a cracked heat exchange, " a known scam" (do the research.). He went as far as to say that he had to condemn my furnace because of Georgia Law.Now granted my wife is now in the house with no heat and its February.. he then proceeded to try and set me up for an appointment to purchase 2 Furnaces. Went over financing options etc. I just let him talk knowing that this was BS. Both units had already been inspected thoroughly so I knew that there wasn't a crack heat exchange. I simply needed to fix the gas leak. I called another company that was on Angie's list also. They came out the next day and fixed the gas leak and the total cost was $155.00, he also inspected both units and said that there was no cracked heat exchange on either unit and both were functioning fine just as the previous inspector pointed out.. This guy was trying to sell me 2 furnaces for aprox $12000 and all I needed was a pipe that cost $105 plus a $55 service fee for $155.00 TE should be ashamed of themselves. The good reviews might confirm that they do good work but they might also be selling work that is unnecessary to the unsuspecting public. Their service call cost me $99.00 for nothing. Also I have never written a bad review on Angie's list or any other site before.

They provided a price quote based on their extensive experience and they stuck to it! Their price was better than the other 2 estimates I had received. They came out on a Sunday and did the work.
