    i recently had my first cararact surgery. My vision isn't as I would have liked. My peripheral vision is worse. I will have my second surgery here but with a different doctor, preferably with one who will listen to me..

    Made the appointment with no problems. Just recently upgraded my eye insurance to buy glasses (I primarily use contacts so I only purchase new glasses once every 5 years or so). Went through the math of which should I bill to insurance and which should I pay for out of pocket. Still ended up paying $300 for my glasses/copay. Went to pick up my glasses a week later and asked about the status of my contacts, the order had been lost. Went another week later to pick them up, was only given a 6 month supply (insurance covers one year). Was told that my insurance only covered 6 months, had someone pull up the chart to only then see that they had made an error, a new order was placed. One week later the other contacts arrived. I then received a bill in the mail for $170. When I called the store, they said it was because insurance couldn't be double charged. When I explained that this was their error, was told they were going to look into. 2 weeks has now passed, I had to call *them* to check the status. By bill was reduced to $65 but no one seems to know why. Redirected to some other out of office number (she was VERY nice and helpful!) who was able to reduce the bill a little (she actually applied my employee discount because yes, all this headache and I'm even an employee) but said that the insurance wasn't going to cover any more because of the way they were billed. I love my eye doctor at Eye Care One but this whole process has been a nightmare. I plan on finding someone else to use.

    Note - I am now 79 years old, have had cataract surgery in both eyes, had a detached retina in my left eye and previous problems dating back to 2002, though corrected vision had been OK since then. I quickly made an appointment with the Eye Guys and was first seen by Dr.LeKamp, OD, and then by Dr. Ryan Smith, MD.  They conducted numerous tests and found the problem. All costs were covered by Medicare and Tricare for Life except the eye exam and prescription for new glasses which is not covered.

    the visit (there were 3) went well, they did a great job of examining my wife's eyes and prescribing a set of glasses.  we ordered the the glasses (second appt) and Picked them up get them adjusted (3rd appt)  only part that I did not like was that the 2 pair got more expensive then I had thought at the beginning of the process.  They were good glasses and work great so I paid the price and I really believe that she is very happy with the glasses, but I was just not expecting a price that high.

    I needed eye glasses so I made an appointment. The staff and doctor was friendly and thorough but I had any issue with the glasses. I had to wait one month before I receive my glasses. This was ridiculous to me. I have insurance from a reputable company but I was told that the office needed to have the check from the insurance before the glasses could be issued. Well that pretty much confirm me not ever coming back.

    They also found I had a very rare type of glaucoma & treated it so I can rest assured I will not go blind if I keep it checked every year, They also took off my cataraks too & I can see very well now!!

    He is very friendly and nice. I like him a lot. He's got a full office but his staff were all friendly and helpful. He has decent hours. He goes until 5 or 6 on most days. I know there's one day he is open until 6. I have an eye insurance because of my job. He is one of the service providers that works for that company. I can go in multiple times to have my glasses adjusted and readjusted for me free of charge. I fell a year or so ago and I completely bent my glasses. I went to them and they were able to straighten it out without charging me. They're really good about that stuff.

    They were great and the doctor filled my prescription correctly the first time. I like their hours and the location of their office. They are very friendly and I like the doctor who checks my eyes. He is very professional and they were able to fill my prescription the same day. I haven't had any problems with them so far. I would switch over my entire family to them.

    Check in is easy and quick. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes (I always arrive before my appointment time). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about insurance, discounts, etc. There is a person who handles the special orders for contact lenses. She gives me a call when my lenses come in and I just have to drop by and pick them. I like the efficiency with which the office is run.

    Everything proceeded exactly as expected, and the new prescription appears to be accurate. Not as fast as my previous experiences at one of the national chain opticians, who were able to get my exam started at exactly the scheduled time, but I am happier with the results.
