ATallents Decks And PorchesI was thoroughly pleased, and the company exceeded my expectations. Neil, the owner, was there almost every day working along side his crew, and he made several suggestions that ensured my satisfaction with the work. He also spent a lot of time planning the work with me, and he actually took me to a former job site to show what the finished product would look like. Furthermore, the crew was always on time, professional, and dependable, and I always felt comfortable with them at the house. Ultimately, they are well-deserving of their impeccable Angie's List rating.- Betty C.

AAbove Average ConcreteWhen I first contacted Mr. William Woods he came right on out to look at what I needed done, gave me some ideas and told me of his web site to check out. As with all contractors and people who deal with the public, you're not going to please everyone so after reading a few of the comments, pros and cons I asked him questions and got answers and knew what I could expect out of the end result. I couldn't be happier with his work, and wouldn't hesitate in hiring him again or recommending him to friends! l- Angela B.

ACSRA ConcreteHe just did a really good job, and we liked him so much. We are real pleased with what he did. He was highly recommended by a big supplier in Augusta. He knew him from way back. My husband and I just looked at him in the eye, and he was trustable and believable. We had another portion of the driveway poured by another guy, and he charged us $18,000 years ago; that portion of the driveway which was attached to my original one got cracks all over the place. For the amount of money that we were charged years ago and that quality of work, what Mr. McCord did held out very well. Comparing those prices, I had to say that he was at a good price range. We felt comfortable even though we did not get other quotes. His quality of work was great. He came out when he said he was going to, and he did the work just like he told us in a day. He and his son are nice fellows. We will probably have them redo some work going to my pool deck area and a walk out back. We would probably call them in the future.- Mary C.

AAbove Average ConcreteWe were very pleased with the concrete removal and replacement, and with the cleanup after the job. I recommend Mr. Woods' work.- Donnie B.

AAbove Average ConcreteMr. Woods responded right away to a request for quote and came out to the house to provide a quote within 24 hours. The only reason for the B grade in responsiveness and punctuality had to do with weather and not the performance of Mr. Woods and his staff. The service was excellent and extremely professional. The stamped concrete looks beautiful with two different patterns used flawlessly. From start to finish the entire project took less than two days from ground breaking to the concrete forms pulled and clean up of the site. The entire crew was extremely conscientious and very good to work with. They paid very close attention to not disturbing the yard and driveway and replaced sod around the sidewalk when they were done to give it a nice finished look.- Diann K.

CAbove Average ConcreteDriveway and walkway were completed. Staff/ owner were very nice and was a very good price but never finished the work. I am very disappointed. I have called owner several times and twice he told me he was coming to finish the work and he never showed. I paid half before he started and the rest when concrete was finished prior to the color being done.- amy s.

FAbove Average ConcreteMr. Wood originally seemed very professional and capable. We did not look at reviews online prior to hiring him. A family member had used him and the work was done well. The work started in the week of April 9. It was supposed to take three weeks. We fired him on July 6th. When he worked he worked well. The main problem was inconsistent work and saying he was coming and not showing up. The work was consistent the first week or two. After that he didn't show up for two weeks, saying he pulled his back. Then it rained for 3 weeks. Following the rain he started back and he stated he had bigger jobs that he needed to catch up on but that he would continue to work on ours. We were understanding but it continued to drag on. He would say he was coming and not show up. This went on for another month. He would come 1x a week for a few hours. Then he would text and saying he was coming but not show up. His word became so unreliable and not trustworthy we couldn't count on anything he said. Then he approached us stating he had spend the money for supplies on income and wanted us to take the supplies out of the remaining labor money so he could continue. Instead of giving him money I called each of the stores and ordered and paid for the supplies. He started stamping the concrete walls since he now had the material needed. While his work looks good, getting him to work is the problem. After not hearing from him for two weeks we called and sent texts. No Reply! He finally texted that he was coming the next day, No Show! That was the last straw. I had his molds/forms for the stamping. We contacted him via text and told him he could pick up his forms when he brought the remaining supplies we had purchased. He came the next day to do the exchange. We are currently getting two estimates to get the work completed.- Louise M.

AJames Pollard and his crew did an great job removing old driveway and putting in a new driveway. The entire crew worked very hard and know their craft well. I highly recommend James Pollard construction. This type of work is physically very hard and when I had it done the temperature was high. The clean up afterward could have been a bit better.

AWork was done in a timely manner and they were very considerate of my needs (getting in and out of house, letting dogs in and out). They answered my questions and were very polite. The estimate was well done with a breakdown of costs for each portion.

CDid a good job for the most part, but will not call you back unless its to schedule a job or collect money. Negotiate price up front because he starts high. Be sure its finished to your liking because once hes gone you'll never see him or hear from him again!

AThe job was very professional from beginning to end. Good communication, and everything was well explained. The removal of the old deck was excellent. There was no damage to any other structure and cleanup was excellent. The new deck is so much better than he old one - even with using the basic deck materials. Extremely solid, ascetically beautiful, and the workmanship is obvious from the perfectly plumb and square construction to the tight and square joints. All around excellent work!

Recent Review:
FWe initially hired R&R for laundry services (for our home). We were happy with Sable's laundry services and decided to use R&R for full cleaning services. We weren't home for our first cleaning, but we left notes detailing what did and did not need to be cleaned. We also labeled our doors and cabinets (and, notably, it wasn't Sable's first time at the the house). We when got home, I couldn't tell if the cleaners had come or not. At first glance, it didn't appear that they had. The floors hadn't been swept, dishes weren’t put away, and the downstairs bathroom wasn't cleaned. I went upstairs and the only rooms that appeared to have been cleaned were the master bath and bedroom. Simply put: it barely looked like cleaners came at all --much less that the house had been professionally cleaned. I reached out to the owner, Terry, to provide him with feedback about the cleaning and to show him pictures of the unswept floors and uncleaned bathrooms. His response was that since we weren't there, the cleaners didn't know what to do. (It seems obvious that they should have at least cleaned the bathrooms and swept the floors). I would have expected an apology or offer to come back and complete the job; instead, I was blamed for the cleaners not cleaning. I told Terry that I left notes (with my contact info) and that someone could have at least called me for further instructions if they were unsure. I also told him that if he didn’t know what to do, he should have rescheduled rather than not complete the job. He did not respond. I told Terry we would love to have them back to go over everything with them, but of course we weren't going to pay full price for the unfinished job. Again, not even the minimum of cleaning the toilets and sweeping the floors were done. Terry didn't respond to that message, either. Given that Terry (1) didn't take any responsibility for the unfinished cleaning - which, he admitted they didn't do because they "didn't know what to do" and (2) didn't provide ANY level of professional that I would expect from someone that I let into my home, I told Terry to remove us from his cleaning schedule. He responded "will do" and immediately invoiced us for full price cleaning services. In response, I told Terry that we would pay for the laundry and for cleaning the master bedroom (apparently they made the bed) but that I wasn't paying for full cleaning services because I didn't receive full cleaning services. Terry responded - "No way, I'll send it to my lawyer. They will put a lien on your home." (Text messages attached). I'm sure Terry didn't realize, but I am a lawyer and this threat got him (and will get him) no where. In summary: (1) Terry's cleaners didn't clean our house because they "didn't know what to do" (even though I left notes and they could have called for further instruction, but did not); (2) Poor customer service; (3) invoiced at full price for partial services (4) threatened to sue us. **EDIT: we chose this Company based on the high number of great reviews. We were disappointed and surprised that we did not have the same great experience.
