    The work itself was okay. They said that I could have six hours or two men for three hours, they broke it down that way. I had to wait until they could fit me and it was not convenient for me. I told them that I needed the grass cut and they did not come prepared to cut the grass. They had to send someone out the next day to cut the grass. What I received was not what was advertised. I needed trees trimmed and bushes shaped. They did a good job. In dealing with the company, it was not as advertised, and I had to wait 3 weeks before I could get an appointment. I would not use their services again. They were going to try to charge me for removing the debris for what they cut down and they wanted to charge me for coming back the next day to mow the lawn. The service was not good at all. I would not use them again.

    Talked with Lonnie on 8/8/13 or 8/9/13 and scheduled yard work for 8/14/13. The initial job was to trim greatly overgrown foundation plants that had ballooned to full hedge size in this year's rain, possibly trim some low-hanging tree limbs, and get an estimate for future work -- pine straw in beds and possibly request an estimate for ongoing lawn care, depending on the outcome of this job. He looked at my property via satellite during that first phone call, so my impression was it was clear what the job entailed since we discussed things as he looked . The price was a base $65 plus $65 an hour.
    Phoned TLC on Sat. 8/10/13 with a question. No return call. First red flag, in retrospect. Phoned again on Monday 8/12 with that same question, and because there had been no return call from Saturday, decided it might be best to limit this initial job to hedge trimming and estimates for future work. During the conversation I asked Lonnie if he could ballpark a time his crew might arrive on 8/14. He said he couldn't. That was okay with me since I'd arranged to stay at home all day for TLC. On 8/14 the lawn crew didn't show, no telephone call from TLC, nothing. Sorry, but not bothering to call is a deal breaker with me. Giving TLC ample time to show up or call, way past sundown I called and left a message canceling the job.
    Lonnie was extremely nice on the phone each time I spoke with him, very courteous, and before the no-show and no telephone call, I would have described him as sounding like someone enjoyable to do business with, making this outcome unexpected and difficult to understand. How long does it take to make a phone call if a crew is running late, or to reschedule, which I would have been agreeable to do? It simply makes no sense. I have no idea what happened, and I unfortunately cannot recommend TLC as a result.

    Don't bother trying to reach this company, you e-mails will come back undeliverable and no one will return your calls. They did a good job when they were here but they are no good to anyone if you can not reach them.

    Ted comes out twice a month, does a great job, sends me a e-mail the day before so I can leave the dogs in the house. In September he called and asked what i wanted to do over the fall and winter, he had driven by and the grass looked fine so he did not cut it. He is going to come by once a month, take care of the leaves and anything that might fall off a tree. If he is willing to stick with me I will be thrilled to have him take care of my yard>
