Tile Installation reviews in Athens

Thor and his crew were very thorough and professional. It was their goal to ensure we received a cost effective, high quality repair - not in it for the money. They stayed on schedule and were very communicative throughout the process. At the end of the job, Thor was not pleased with a couple of things and came back the next day to fix them, making sure that we were left with a brand new shower. We would definitely use them again, as well as recommend them to others.

Let me say first of all I have no memory of the price that we paid for the work that we had done, but I do remember it was extremely reasonable.  The tile work was impeccable. The flooring installation was completed without a hiccup.  Joseph completely tiled three bathrooms for us, including floors, tub and shower areas. His work was flawless and he left the workplace clean. We plan to hire Joseph whenever we have tile work that needs to be done.

The work went well. We are pleased we the bathroom we have now. Thor made sure all the details we asked for get done. He brought the number of people needed for each chore each day and things went fast for the amount of work that was needed. All the workers were professional and tried to do their best.

Used them before, and was pleased. Got a prompt quote after the owner came out, measured, discussed gates, etc. Came when he promised, and had the whole job, including 2 single and a drive-through gate done in a day and a half. They are reliable, professional, friendly. I will certainly used Timberland again. They are now my "go to" people, and if they can't do the job, they know someone reliable who will. Three cheers!

I purchased a house built in the early 60s that had been very well maintained, but not updated through the years.  I had Josh open up the wall between the kitchen, dining room, and living room to give the house a more modern feel and better flow.  We gutted the kitchen, removing all appliances, cabinets, flooring down to the sub-floor.  Josh laid a new floor and new tile and worked with the cabinet and countertop crews to create a stunning new kitchen that I absolutely love!!  We also gutted the master bathroom (turquoise blue tile!!) and broke through a wall into a small study area to create a spacious new master bath.  He framed in a new master closet, a 6' soaker tub and separate shower, closed off the previous door to the study into a hallway and laid all the tile.  He made all required sheetrock repairs, completed the finish casing and trim, as well as repainted the interior for a beautiful finished bathroom.  The hardwood floors in the house were original and in good condition with the exception of being stained a different color in every room!!  The floors were sanded down to unfinished wood, all the dust and debris was removed and two coats of stain plus a protective coating were applied consistently throughout the whole home -- the end result is stunning.  All of the old hollow-core doors were removed, new doors and hardware were installed and fitted perfectly.  The front porch railing was a rusted, pitted iron scroll that was removed and new railings and columns were installed.  The entire project took six weeks and many return visits.  At each step of the way, Josh and his crew were professional, courteous, neat and punctual.  Josh suggested cost savings to me and adjusted his estimate several times as we changed the scope of the work.  Josh was patient and worked with me on adjustments during the process.  After I moved into the home, I asked Josh to return to install a subway tile back splash in the kitchen, to epoxy the garage floor, and to make adjustments to the laundry room.  I am completely satisfied with Josh's work, very pleased with the end results.  I felt Josh's fees were well-explained and very fair for the work performed.  I would highly recommend Josh for any work around your home!

The project lasted about a week and a half.  Overall, the flooring looks great.  There was a leak in the hot water supply line once they removed the dishwasher and disconnected the kitchen sink.  I don't want to blame them for that because the pipe is CPVC and the plumber who came out and fixed it said the pipe was brittle.  I think it just got bumped too hard and the glue at the joint gave out.
The owner, Chris, pointed out a twisted supply connection on the kitchen faucet so I bought a new one for them to install.
The price came in about $1000 less than another contractor had quoted.

Mr. Pascall and the crew of Tile Creations, Inc. are very pleasant men  and did a creditable job retiling the bathroom.
However, from the beginning there were communication problems with regard to the specifics of the Ange's list offer from this company. For example, it was not clear from the advertisement that $800 for tiling really meant that 50-60% of this was for labor and that 40-50% was the real allowance for purchase of tiles. This could have been more explicit in the advertisement.
It should have been made clear that certain tiles, such as Travertine, would require additional payment for labor. This was also true for the installation of one row of accent tiles, which were part ceramic, part Travertine.
I assumed that remodeling a 5 ft x 7 ft bathroom also included painting the areas that were not retiled. This was not the case and there was further discussion on this matter. I eventually asked other contractors to complete the painting of the bathroom and requested that Tile Creations Inc pay 50% of this cost.
These communication issues detracted considerably from my experience with this company.

We were so pleased with all of Greg's work. He was pleasant and easy to work with and was willing to work with us since we wanted to do some of the work ourselves. He did the second bathroom while we were out of town and he stayed in contact with us and let us know when something unexpected came up, which it did. The bathtub we had purchased was damaged so he called us and ended up going out and getting another one just like it. This is the first time we've hired someone to do our remodeling and we can happily say the experience was a great one. Greg is honest, trustworthy, and does really great work in a timely manner.

As expected, work took a few days and Pavel was even kind enough to fix a few other minor things for me.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the work done and the amount of money spent. Some previous estimates that I had received were significantly more and the individuals did not appear to really know what they were doing from some of the statements they made about how they were going to do the work.
