Hunter and Caitlin were awesome to work with. Other companies made me feel pressured but they came out and gave me a quick and fair quote with no pressure sales tactics. They were able to get my job scheduled quick. And even came back within a week to do some grading for me.

I was very pleased with them. I would probably use them again. They actually return my calls. They did a great job. I use their website and they called me back. They were affordable and they did a great job. I am going to have them help do some grading in the spring and to help plant some seed in my side yard.

Very well -- they were easy to work with even when I couldn't be there to meet them. Left plenty of info and presented choices with recommendation. Installation was smooth and has been getting good reviews from those who have seen it (including a major sod company who was impressed with the workmanship).

    COMPLETE CONCRETE AND MASONRY
Everything went just as we thought & hoped- perfectly. Matthew & his crew were wonderful to work with. the driveway turned out beautiful. We were worried about our cars because they used to scrub at the bottom of the driveway. The new driveway passed the test- no more scratching. They also built a stone patio in out backyard that we are enjoying already. I've already recommended them to neighbors.

    Short story:
    1) Good first meeting with the landscaper
    2) Didn't receive a diagram (plan) even though I asked for one
    3) Unexpected work begun even before the proposal was signed off on
    4) Drainage to new creek bed not fixed before installation
    5) Very good installation of natural looking creek bed and bridge
    5) Owner poorly responsive to concerns
    Long Story:
It started off well, with Andre showing up on time and listening to me and what I was looking for as we toured the yard. He paid attention to what I was looking for, and made notes for himself as we went along. I was told I would be contacted in approximately a week with an estimate, but never heard back. I emailed Andre, and he promptly sent me the estimate, which seemed quite reasonable. There was no attached plan, so I called and asked for one, but never received it.  A week passed and I tried to contact Andre directly, but never received a reply. I finally was contacted by Rocky, who said that Andre had left the company and that he'd follow up.  It took a couple of weeks, but Rocky showed up and reviewed verbally what I was looking for. Once again, I asked for a written diagram, and was told he'd send it.
Several days later, I arrive at my house to find workers busily creating the creek bed. I had never signed off on the proposal, and yet they were there with shovels, rocks and landscape fabric. I decided to just let them continue, but contacted Rocky and expressed my dismay. He seemed apologetic, but still no written diagram was forthcoming. I should have had them stop the work till my concerns were resolved, but that would have left several tons of rock in my yard.
The workers created the creek bed in just a few days, and installed a small bridge I had built in the backyard to go over it, as well as cut some cobblestones leading up to the bridge. I must admit that the work itself was very good. The creek bed looked natural and well designed. I had them install 5 large (500 lb ) boulders in the front yard, and they put them in exactly as I had marked with chalk on the rocks themselves.
The creek bed feels a little small. Had I seen a plan, I would have asked for part of it to be widened to 8 feet. Part of the yard needed to be graded so that it drained into the creekbed, and that didn't happen, so it pools in a 10 foot wide area next to the driveway.
Rocky stopped by after the work was done to try to smooth things over and make sure I was satisfied, but frankly I was done with this company. I just told him the creek bed was fine. I plan on finding someone else to fix the drainage, widen the creek bed and install some larger rocks.

Becky was e pleasure to work with.  She responded immediately with my request and I was pleasantly surprised to find that we were both on the same wavelength as to what needed to be done.  Despite bad weather, they completed the job on time.  I'm not completely convinced that some of the plantings were appropriate or whether they will make it through the winter but I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.  They left some serious ruts in the front yard which they have attempted to repair - once again, I won't  know how it will look until spring.  Overall, I am pleased with the job that they did and am looking forward to warmer weather to see how it looks when things green up again.

    ARNOLD Masonry & Landscape
We liked that this company works from a contract not just an estimate, so you can be confident that the price is the price. After going through this project we now have a new appreciation for the custom work this company does. They took the time to properly grad the yard prior topouring the concrete for the patio which ensured our patio would belevel, but that it would also drain properly on our slightly sloped yard. The large amount of attention and precision given to shaping the patio stones and especially the fireplace stoneswas incredible. For the chimney, theystarted with rocksthe size of footballs and then preceeded to hand chip each one so that it perfectly fit together to create a beautiful custom chimney. They paid attention to the small details that added a finishing touch to the patio like putting mortar around the sides of the patio so that you couldn't see where the concrete stopped and patio started. They use a thick concrete foundation and thick flagstone, so the quality is very good.
The second part of our project was the landscaping work around the patio. We had 8 tandums of dirt brought in which they graded in a strategic way to allow for water to properly drain down the left, middle and right sides of the yard. Initially, we had not thought aboutputting in anirrigation system, however WE ARE SO GLAD WE DIDI!!!. Based on the company's recomendation we decided to add an irrigation system and now we can't imagine not having one. If you are contemplating an irrigation system, please take our advice and put one in. You don't want to be running around your beautiful new yard moving sprinklers! One thing I would recommend is that when they trench your yard and lay the pipes you should take the time to take pictures so you know where all of the pipes are laid in case you ever have to make repairs.Once we tested our irrigation system's pressure we realized that the waterpressure in the back of the house was not enough to support our yard, so they trenched around tothe frontspoutinstead. Our price was not affected by the additional work required to trenchto the front of the yard becausethey were committed to doing what was best for our system.Once the irrigation system was in, they graded the dirt and then laid the sod. A couple of days after they finished the sod, we had a very heavy rain storm which caused a 5 inch deep, 6 feet long trench in the yard where the soil beneath the sod had washed away. We were initally disappointed that this happended to our brand new yard, but one phone call to the landscaper and he made time to come out the same day and give us suggestions for how to fix it and how to prevent it from happening again. This company is truly committed to customer satisfaction. They were inconstant communication with us during the whole project andeven when weather caused delays in our timeline, they were giving us daily updates as what we should expect. We had mulitple in-person visits from the owner of the company to ensure that everything was going well and they were constantly asking us if we were happy with the progress being made with our project. We highlly recommend Arnold Masonry & Landscape and we will definitely use them again when we decide to add plants and lighting to our backyard.
