    Sonny Joseph MD
I am forever grateful to have found my way to Dr. Sonny Joseph. After a lifetime of ineffective treatment for severe depression, I have finally become healthy and stable due to Dr. Joseph's care. He is an excellent listener, diagnostician and physician. He has an Ivy League education (Harvard and MIT) and has written two books in the field. Instead of talk therapy and ineffective prescription of one medication at a time, Dr. Joseph came up with a combination of meds which have kept stable for nearly ten years. When I have my appointment and he asks me how I am, I am thrilled to say that I am fine. I truly believe he has saved my life. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is suffering.

    Goodman, Dr. Ira
Dr. Goodman was our choice and I'm happy we found him. If you have AD there's no cure, only some weak medications that don't stop the progression or do much good. Dr. Goodman is very pleasant and knowledgeable. He put us in contact with a research study that is testing a better treatment for AD. We found out while trying to qualify for the study that my wife does have AD because a PET scan (paid for by the trial) detected the tell-tale amyloid plaque in the brain. Being in the study gives us some hope for improvement, if it works. That's so much better than having no hope since no treatment on the market currently works. In the meantime my wife gets regular checkups by Dr. Goodman's nurse practitioner (or similar title). The practitioner checks my wife's progress every 6 months and makes sure her medications are proper. There's not really much else they can do using today's knowledge and medications. But the research trials give us hope and we feel like we're getting the best possible treatment available. The trials are no cost to us, and we get paid a little for each visit in the trial. It's the closest thing to a free lunch. The Dr. visits are usually covered by insurance, but if you private pay they are about $200 per visit, not including any blood tests or extra tests.

    Sonny Joseph MD
He is an excellent psychiatrist. I suffer from bi-polar with depression and anxiety and i have been seeing different doctors since I was 17. I have been on several medications which don't help. Finally, 5 years ago, I found Dr. Sunny and he automatically knew what to do. He prescribed medicines to help me sleep, help with my bi-polar and my anxiety. With the medications, I have not been depressed for 5 years and I am totally symptom free. I will tell anyone he is the person to go to and he is very reasonable.

Dr. Neil took time with me, didn't rush me, and gave great explanations of why the recommendations of my past psychiatrists may not have been accurate.

Daniella Arrogante was excellent. She took the time to really get to know me and my issues. The meds have really helped to stabilize my moods. I would highly recommend her to anyone who has had a bad experience with another provider; she will certainly meet or exceed your expectations.

Dr. Nieves was very knowledgeable and was able to reduce the number of medications required for treatment and explain the proper use of generic medications so that we were comfortable with switching to them.

    Neurology Associates
They are very knowledgeable. The doctors that work there are very effective. Their reputation is one of the best in the city. They seem to have a very thorough understanding of my condition and what to do about it.

You can expect to wait, but she's worth the wait. She spends the time necessary with her patients. In some places they are punctual and they keep it going. When I first went, we waited quite a while and I wasn't used to that, but once you get to know the system, it's worth the wait.

    Gold, Dr. Jay C
He spends time listening and determining where I need to be for my treatment. He doesn't rush the appointment. I changed doctors because my other doctor didn't work with me on medication management, which is critical when dealing with brain issues. I recommend him to anyone dealing with long term issues. He (or one of his staff members) always returns my calls when I have problems and his staff will call the pharmacy the same day, if that is necessary. Dr. Gold sometimes runs a little late for the appointment time, but his office is very comfortable with good reading material. The staff is extremely helpful and always cheerful. They helped me through the change from regular health care to Medicare, which I really appreciated.

    Josette Romain MD
Dr. Romain is very pleasant. Office staff are nice. Only negative is not knowing how long it will take. I've had to wait 2 hours after my appointment time because they were running late. Great place other than that...
