They enclosed the screen room building a storage unit in one end. They did a good job on this. They used vinyl windows and installed a new storm door, didn't seal around the storm door. They were supposed to install an additional electrical outlet and make a place in the end wall for a window air conditioner if we wanted to add one later which they didn't do. Vinyl windows leak around them when it rains and things are getting wet. I've called twice in the last 2-3 weeks and no one has shown up. Was told that all vinyl windows leak but he'll take a look at it when he gets time. I had vinyl windows in another screen room for 5 years and never once had a leak.

Richard clearly has many years experience and is an excellent professional. He was meticulous in performing the work and did a good job cleaning up afterward. When he was paid at the end of the job and without being asked, he provided us with a document confirming payment to the material supplier; typically we have to specifically request that from other contractors.

Bill (the owner) came out personally the same day I called him for a estimate. I got two other estimates from other contractors on AL and he was the most informative. He was the only one of the three to follow-up for our business but he was not pushy at all. Also, we felt that we got the most value for our money with Baker.
The concrete crew came out and broke our small concrete slab and laid the new slab's footer. We had to wait until the next day for the city inspection and then next day they came right back out and laid the new slab. All together it took three days to remove old slab and lay new slab, but would have been two if we did not have to wait for inspection.
The concrete has to dry for 24 hrs before the porch can be built, it rained for a couple of days after that but once it stopped, a guy came out and built the aluminum screened porch in one day!
We could not be happier with the porch! It rained very hard right after it was built and no leaks at all! It is very sturdy and meets hurricane strength wind code. Our dog clawed on the screen as she was not used to it and did not damage it at all!
What we really liked about Baker:
    - Bill (owner) was personally involved the whole process
    - We did nothing! Bill handled all permits and engineering plans, we just issued the checks!
    - Very fast and professional installation
    - They were the only contractor of the three that suggested to attach porch roof to house exterior wall. The others wanted to attach to the soffitt. The porch is more sturdy due to be attached to the wall and has less of a chance of leaking.
    - He did not try and up-sell us like the other two did! He listened to what he wanted, gave us options and did not pressure us.

I would recommend the installation of the patio and the window. My problem I had with them was that the subcontractor that they used to do the concrete, they did a good job in the concrete when I've had several issues and the biggest thing I had is that since the company didn't do the job; they're the subcontractor I've contacted them several times and not once he's never returns my calls or e-mails or messages. In a couple of months I've tried it on several occasions and he's never once returned any of my calls. When he left Michael so I'm going to get hold of the guy; they don't come back and fix it and it's not right; then I called and no response. It kind of scares me because when I have issues now with the patio or windows, he's not going to be spontaneous when an issue comes up. The work they did was fine. I would have told them to be careful on the subcontractor they use for the concrete. They need to stay behind and need to guarantee. Their price is average.

    Keen Construction & Development

I found Keen Construction through a refferal from a friend to have some work done to my home.  I checked out their web site and placed a contact request online.  The owner replied within an hour and we scheduled a appointment for the following day. He showed up on time and we discussed what I wanted to do.  For all the work outside and inside he seemed very knowledgeable. He drew out concepts and even painted on the ground some layout examples in my front and back yard to help me start visualizing the projects. He took measurements and we set up a meeting for the following week to meet with his design assistant and project engineer.  Long story short it was easy to work with Jason and his staff to put my ideas onto paper of how I wanted my house to look.
We gutted my kitchen, master bath, floors and back patio.  He removed the texture on my ceilings and applied new texture, installed all new tile on my floors and in my bathroom and kitchen. He installed new cabintes, appliances, counter tops and fixtures. He repainted the ceilings and walls in the rooms that we where working in and then cleaned the entire house.  On the outside of the house we knocked out the walls of my patio and poured a new exterior concrete patio. He built a base beyond my new patio with some sort of crused rock and then instrallled a paver area with raised seating and a gas fire pit in the center, added concrete block seating all the way around my new concrete patio with exterior lighting and painted it to match my house. The entire job was designed and built by his own employees and they were easy to work with. The project was finished on schedule and looked amazing. Initially, I thought his price was high, but after seeing the time he personally took with me to show me my options as well as seeing how much time, effort and precision his people put into building everything I would have actually have paid more if I had known what I was going to get for my money.  At the end of the job he asked me if I  would write a review for him on angies list as he had just joined the service and I am happy to say that I am more than happy to join Angies list to tout his work.
