Ray and Dan's Home Repair and Remodeling LLC
Terrible! They are the worst, and I've been working with contractors for almost 40 years. Late every day, quality of work was terrible. Had total children's bathroom remodel. Ray mis-estimated the job--tiles, floor tiles, and his handyman helper who did all the work, broke several of the glass tiles and was actually going to leave them as completed until I balked. Everything had drama attached to it. Work was sloppy. Took down popcorn ceiling and covered entire house is thick white dust. They didn't seal anything. Measured for a new front door for me. Would not let them install after the bathroom debacle. Had us special order a door ($4,000) that was 3.5 inches shorter than our opening. Insisted we needed a special order door. Carpenter who did install did the job with great ease, but opening would have fit a standard size door. Bathroom job was way more costly and angst-ridden than it needed to be. At one point, when I complained that there were so many add-ons, Ray told me to relax. I didn't have to take out a mortgage. Proceed cautiously if you hire them. BTW, I have photos, emails and tests of everything.

    Bob's Home Services, LLC
Perfect! Better than we could wish for. We have a home that is mid 1800's and all updates from the early to mid twentieth century. We moved into the house nov., 1987. We bought the house from a family who moved in 1928. We have appreciated what they did with the house and have tried to live in their footprint. Baths are original. We have managed to keep them pristine though we have replaced plumbing, fittings and have redone tile though we managed to find original tile as needed. Kitchen is early 1940's and in pretty near perfect condition. Bob said, "If your buyer says they will tear out the kitchen, don't sell them the house"! We do appreciate. The kitchen has been updated to 21'st century appliances but looks 1940-50's. So the challenge for Bob was to make our kitchen and bathroom work look amazing and not current. That's what he did and it only took 6.5 hours! Our Early and mid century bath and kitchen continue to be near perfect and we are thrilled to have met a contractor who respects our wishes and the beauty of our home. We are thrilled with the work, the price, will call in the future!

    Evangelisto Construction & Cabinets
Started about a week after contract agreed upon. Increased cost involved due to unforeseen issues discovered during demo & re-framing of soffit. We paid for all cabinets (15), studs, drywall & supplies, and misc. supplies separate from the contract for labor only. Took about 1 week to complete. Home Depot sub-contracted out our granite countertops and their installation. All of Larry's staff staff were very pleasant, professional and did their jobs well. Cleaned up good at end of each day, however delay in haul away of contractor bags outside in front of house. A job well done. The price listed below is for labor only.

It DIDN'T "go," at all. I'm only thankful that I'm out $499, when it could have been much worse had it proceeded to the point I would be told the "company" needs more money from me. I'm 85 years old, seen the dead in Korea, and still smell napalm at times from memories of Vietnam, after 23 years in the U.S. military, in what often seems like another lifetime. So I'm familiar of how little we tend to care for each other as "actual human beings." You've managed to help retain that feeling in me, after having already contacted you about this situation, about 10 days ago, and receiving only the same silent response from you that I've received from that so-called "company. I would send you a photo of the "before," and "after," except they would both be the same. So you're still selling snake oil, my dear.

    Shawn's Custom Cabinets
I knew Shaun from about 12 years ago. He actually worked for me before in a different industry. He was recommended by my Remodelling contractor, and I had no reason to doubt he could do the job. He took half up front, and after he left he did start to work on the cabinets. He installed some of the cabinetry (the bases) so the granite guy could do his job. After that, it got real tough to get ahold of Shawn. He would not answer calls or messages for several days, and when he finally came back the second time after 2 months, he still had to order more things. a few days ago (just about 3 months into a job that should have taken less than a month) I had become very impatient with his lack of communication and with his blowing off meeting times when he did say he was coming. I don't know what his problem is, but if you want to get ripped off, then you have found the right company!!! He doesn't even have a legitimate business. He has no business license, and I had to write checks to his personal name, Shawn Cribbs. If you want your job to take 3 months and not get finished, and have someone not answer your phone calls or texts, then you have found the right person!!!! When he finally got back to me after taking me for $7000, he told me to have someone else finish it. I guess Shawn must live in a world where everyone is just fine for waiting around forever with no updates and no response. He is also not running a legitimate business. He has no insurance, and no business license, and is not registered with the state of Florida (last time he registered his business was 2010 according to sunbiz dot org) RUN FOR THE HILLS FROM SHAWN's Custom Cabinets!!!! Unless you like being treated like dirt and getting ripped off. Then go for it!

    L&D Renovations LLC

CAUTION.  DO NOT HIRE.  Working diligently to recoup a portion of extreme monetary loss.  Not only do we have to hire contractors to correct and  to complete contracted work, but we have to purchase, again, supplies needed to do so.  This company was paid funds to purchase necessary supplies included in contracts.

Only skills at required level - framing, drywall and general carpentry.

    A few of the issues:

Departed with large percentage of work incomplete.  Disorganized and inefficient.  Did not purchase supplies necessary to complete work and leave them on premises. Displayed barely amateur level of painting and knowledge of supplies needed to successfully complete painting projects.  My opinion is that the company personnel do not seriously regard contracts nor do they take any pride in their work.

Sloppy work - painting is horrible in and outside of house.  Sprayed doors in driveway - need to use graffiti remover to remove stains. Deliberately "slopped" paint on an entry door to pool area. Have already spent hours on hands and knees trying to remove paint, texture "plaster" and construction adhesive from carpeting, tile and grout.  This has required literally cutting paint out of carpeting, using bottles and bottles of latex paint and adhesive remover, scraping - with a razor blade - paint from other surfaces.  The originally spotless carpeting was left in horrible condition. We even had to purchase a commercial grade carpet shampooer.

There is no need to continue.  This was a horrible, devastating, destructive, shocking, costly and eye opening experience.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Do not be "taken.".  Before and after photos are available.

    Mike Musick Construction
He did not complete the contracted work.  The work was shoddy - the drywall work was cracked.  The roof leaked into our home.  He would not give us his insurance company's name so we had to sue him.  We just spent another $12000 to fix his work.  There was a whole that leaked in through the soffit into the breakfast.  He never put up the copper gutters he was paid to put up.  He walked away from the breakfast room and a fountain job as well.  He would not respond to my calls or emails until after we began our suit.

    Joe Black's Home Repair Remodeling
Joe  was honest and accurate with what had to be done, how it would be done and cost.  We used his services over a period of a couple months due to  problems with products we ordered online arriving damaged  and having to be sent back. He put up  a 57" bathroom mirrored cabinet and replaced  several  pool screens  for us.  It's nice to know there are dependable  hard working guys out there. we'd hire them again in a heart beat.

    Servpro Industries Inc
The cost was covered by our home owners insurance. I felt they did some overkill with the mold remediation; removing and replacing all of our hardwood floors from our kitchen through the hallway to the front door and also removing 2 of our kitchen cabinets to repair them. When they took the 2 cabinets down they lost the molding for the top of one of them and they said they were not responsible for that and did not replace the molding. One of the machines they were using they left sitting on our carpet without any protection under it and it stained the carpet, which in turn they had to replace that as well then. They repaired the water damage and got rid of the mold but I was not happy with the service overall. I did not like the cabinet sub they used. The carpet and flooring sub they used were good. Next time I would take the check from the insurance company and hire out people myself. I felt for a minor problem they did an overkill of work and if insurance had not been covering this it would have been extremely expensive for me.

It was fine. I purchased it online and they came out shortly thereafter. He seemed very polite, very friendly, and very nice. He gave me a copy of the kitchen design that he worked up while he was here, a price, and it was fine. He was fine for what he did.
