    Called the based on reviews on NextDoor where folks in the Sun City area were very pleased. Wayne came out and diagnosed our flashing lights on the dishwasher as a bad control panel. It was a Saturday and we both work so I asked if there was any way possible he could get the part and repair it the same day. He looked all over and found a part in Tampa and returned within an hour to do the repair. I thought had seen a coupon on Angies list and looked them up. I was surprized by the low grade but by then our work was already done and I just needed to pay. I promised I would come one here any and write this company a recent recent review. Wayne has been with them one month. Their previous repair person was making all kinds of mistakes and is now gone. This is a small business and owner had some health problems. With Wayne doing the repairs their grade needs to be an A+ for his excellent customer service. On time, correct diagnosis, got the part same say (usually they have to order it - but there was a no-pick up he was able to get). We paid $69 for the first visit and that was deducted from the $309 we were charged for the parts and labor to replace the control panel. I thought that was very fair.

    Jon was easy to schedule and confirmed appointments. After the first visit he hoped to be able to repair the washer and he ordered parts. When he returned to install the parts it turns out the problem was much bigger and the cost to order and install the additional parts made it not worth repairing. On learning this Jon who visited our home two times only charged us for one service call. We would not only call him again but would recommend him to others should they have a need for a large appliance repair.

    I do use Service America as a rule for everyday things and they've been fantastic, except that sometimes they can't get you.  If it's a matter of an air conditioner or if your refrigerator goes out, they'll come right away.  But if it's a normal kind of thing, you may have to wait a week.  It's a home warranty - yes.  We were having trouble with our refrigerator, we started having troubles, and they came out and first they did this, first they did that, and finally they gave us a new circuit board.  They would have given us a new refrigerator if that hadn't worked.  And it didn't cost a penny.  They do the air conditioning, they do the plumbing, my garbage disposal; they do almost everything ... except for the time wait, and that's only if you don't have an emergency.  I've enjoyed them very much.  It took them a couple of tries to fix the dishwasher.  So they've been very good.  They're very prompt except for emergencies; if you don't have an emergency, you can plan to wait a week and sometimes that's a long time.  Usually the refrigerator / freezer, they come out.  They could use some more people.  I pay $579 per year.  I have a lot of things and it's nice knowing that you can just not worry about it.  The people are wonderful, and they give you tips.  I can't say enough about the people.  I like them a lot.  It's just that they don't have enough people; it's not that they're being snarky or anything.  The quality is awesome - yes - they keep after it until they get it.  They are very professional.

    The final product looks good but there were many frustrations along the way:

    The kitchen was supposed to be done by Thanksgiving but was not completed until just before Christmas, after I complained that we had company coming and needed them to be done and out of the house.

    The cabinet for the double oven was not built per the instructions that I supplied from the appliance company. The opening was not big enough or deep enough for the oven to fit. They had to come and cut the hole out bigger and cut out the back of the cabinet for the oven to fit. They also had to cut down the drawer on the bottom of the cabinet and left the drawer edges very roughly cut.

    They installed a new island - there was not an island previously. The cabinet installer marked the outline for the island on our newly refinished hardwood floor with a permanent marker. The island didn't cover his markings so he sanded the marks off. This left visible unpolished strips on the floor.

    I am an electrician and told them that I would install the appliances myself. They wanted the plumber to install and connect the dishwasher so I agreed to that. On the day the plumber did his final tie-ins, he rolled my refrigerator across my wood floor and hooked up the ice maker line. He left gouge marks across the whole kitchen floor from the refrigerator wheels and the water connection leaked, to boot! I immediately took pictures and sent them to the salesman. He assured me that they would take care of it and that the owner would have to get involved. This happened in mid-December. I contacted the guy that had re-finished the floor to get a damage estimate. He said the gouges were too deep to fix and would require boards to be replaced and the whole kitchen floor to be sanded down and refinished - about $1,600. I sent requests to have the cabinet company tell me what they were going to do about the floor and heard from more than one person that it would be up to the owner. Time kept going on and I never heard from the owner. I had my wife send the final payment, less $1,600, with a letter explaining why we held back that amount. I got a call from the owner, Richard, as soon as he saw the letter and he said that was unacceptable. He insisted that he knew nothing about the floor and demanded a chance to fix it. He wanted to take a look at the floor and I said he could come anytime to look at it. I never heard back from him. A few weeks later, I got a letter threatening that a lien would be placed on my property if I didn't pay the $1,600. That was in February, two months after I first told them about the floor. I am going to have to take them to small claims court to get it settled..

    I didn't think very highly of him. He didn't clean the dryer vents out correctly and we are having issues with the dryer again. The price was alright, but the work was sloppy and I feel he should have checked out the dryer a little better.

    Tom went out of his way to make sure that the system was up. Did not charge for coming out testing and looking at the fridge. |I will certainly call Tom again for future work. Very knowledgeable and polite. |

    Michaelson���s Appliance Repair Inc
    After I called back to advise the Microwave quit working again in less than 7 days. Repairman came out again. He explained the part replaced burnt out again and was not the root problem. Repairman stated it was the transformer or the Microwave Tube. He still could not fix the problem because he did not knowing exactly what the problem was. He did not know what part to
    replace for certain.
    He believed it was the Microwave Tube. Cost would be $150.00 more for the part if he was right and $60.00 for the service. If he was correct, the total repair would have cost $392.00. The Micro Wave new is less than $300.00. So, I spent $182.00 and Micro Wave is still broken.
    I did not have them repair it due to cost of repair exceeded new and they would not guarantee they were correct. It could be yet another $150.00 part if they were wrong a second time or $592.00.
    I wrote to Michelson?s to complain that I should not be charged for the part they replaced that was not the problem. I said I thought the $109.00 service call should be all should have to pay because they were wrong. I explained they are the experts I depend on them to know the answer.
    Michelson?s replied they would not refund me any money. They did not take responsibility for diagnosing the repair wrong. But, they would not charge me the addional $60.00 for the second visit to tell me they were wrong the first time.
    So, if they would have properly diagnosed the repair, the reason I call a repairmen, I would not be out the extra money and the aggravation they put me through.

    I called describing our problem at 8:30 a.m. and by 12:15 p.m. the technician arrived at our front door.  He quickly saw the source of the problem went to his truck and brought back a part to replace the rusted one.  The new part, he pointed out, was made from rust-proof material, an advancement the manufacturer implemented only after other owners of the same refrigerator reported the same problem. The price certainly was not cheap, but I was told the cost upfront, and the work was efficient and competently performed.  I figured you get what you pay for.  Jim also told me the coupon would apply before I asked about it.  Other service providers I have used with coupon offers did not mention the coupon until I did, hoping I would forget it.

    Quality Complete Home Service
    We called Quality Complete after calling other companies in the area. The initial fee to come out was $79 to check everything out on our washing machine. We spent an additional $94 upon their second visit when they came back to install the new pump that was ordered. The $94 included the cost of a new pump plus labor, which was less than an hour. Both visits combined ended up being cheaper than the other companies that we called for estimates and they probably did more work.

    We were concerned because our washing machine isn���t very old. We thought we purchased a good machine. He assured us that we did in fact have a good washing machine. There was just something that got stuck in the filter of the pump that caused the pump to collect more debris and eventually stop working. So, he recommended that we replace the pump.

    We were really impressed with them. They went above and beyond on the initial service call. He cleaned out the damaged pump and got it working so we could use it until the part came in. He was very concerned that we would be without our washing machine for a week until the part came in.

    The part came in as scheduled, and they were here on time, when they said they would be here, to install the new pump. Once the new pump was installed, he made sure everything was running properly before he left.

    Their cost estimate was right on target with what the final bill was. They knew exactly what the problem was. They have the knowledge and experience to get the job done right and they were really helpful.

    As soon as he could he made contact, he arranged a prompt appointment, came to my house and very professionally diagnosed the problem as something that happened during the original repair. He fixed it and was most professional. My first report was totally inaccurate and I wish to withdraw it. Mr. Zuniga did a great job and demonstrated a lot of concern for my situation. He made a long drive and took care of the washer with no additional charges. I wish to commend Mr. Zuniga and withdraw any negative comments I made. I will definitely call him the next time I need appliance repair. I apologize for being a bit too hasty to complain. I have been abused many times in my life by vendors and I guess I was conditioned to expect the worst. As it turns out, I should have expected the best. That is what I got from Sidney Appliance. Thank you Sidney Appliance.
