"I've been using this company for years, they have sold, installed, and maintained 3 systems for me. Always top-notch equipment and service, and friendly people! A+!

-Kerry M.

"On time, professional and quality work installing the system. One small hiccup - the installer forgot to install the sediment and odor and taste filter in the" housing. I didn't discover this until six months later when I went to change the filter and found it not there.
, gave me two of these filters for free due to their error.

3 tips to select the best water treatment

Don't overpay for the wrong water treatment system. One highly rated provider offers some tips to help you choose the right system for your home.

Water softeners

Even if your tap water comes from a reservoir, chances are it previously passed through underground caverns where it absorbed mineral deposits. Water with a high concentration of minerals is referred to as "hard" water. It's safe to drink but can harm your plumbing and appliances.

Tired of hard water stains clouding your glass shower door? It takes diligence, but it is possible to keep a glass shower door clean. Find out how.

Water Softeners

You just bought a home that came with an unused water softener. How do you turn it on? One highly rated provider breaks down the process in five easy steps.

Do water softeners need routine maintenance? Many are fully automatic, but others might need service if there's a noticeable difference in water quality.

I actually just replaced my Pelican Natursoft "water softener" with an more-traditional ion exchange model.  I used the natursoft for a little over 4 years, and I can say it worked as advertised.  When remodeling a while back we decided to get a tankless water heater.  All the documentation indicated that hard water with the tankless heater is a no go.  We had to do somehting, but since I'm lazy (didn't want to deal with the salt or plumbing in a drain) and my wife didn't like soft water, the salt-free model looked attractive.  I too was somewhat skeptical, but the reviews I found looked good, and I know enough about the science of nucleation (I was a material science major in college) to know that what they said made sense, so I bought one.

One thing needs to be made clear - the natursoft system is NOT a water softener!  It contains a media which nucleates some disolved metalic salts out of solution.  These crystals, once formed, remain in the water, and still react with oils, detergents, etc. in the same manner as the disolved salts.  They also continue to form scale wherever water is allowed to evaporate, such as faucet nozels and shower heads. In fact, it's possible that evaporative scaling was even worse than before we installed the system.

Importantly, however, once in crystaline form, these salts do not stick to pipes, or in my case, heat-exchangers.  My tankless heater has a sensor to indicate when it needs to be descaled, and the manual indicates that for my water hardness and hot water use I should have had to descale approximately every 6 months.  In four years with the natursoft the descaleing indicator has never gone off.  For further evidence, when I installed my new softener a few weeks ago, I had to cut sections from the copper pipe on both the inlet and outlet side of the natursoft.  Both sections of pipe were installed at the same time as the natursoft, but while the pipe on the inlet side was green and rough on the inside, the outlet pipe looked and felt like new.

As such, if you want or need a salt-free system for some reason (low-sodium diet for blood pressure, don't like the feel of soft water, can't easily plumb a drain into the softener location, or can't carry heavy bags of salt to the softener), then I can unequivocably recommend the natursoft.  If, like my wife and I today, you want soft water, that feels soft on your skin, creates less soap scum, rinses cleaner in the dishwasher, etc., then the natursoft probably isn't for you.

Water Softener Installation And Repair reviews in Williston

Called because we thought our water softner was leaking into our basement. The person on the phone was super pleasant and gave me all the details I needed up front. They had someone out that afternoon. He identified the problem (not the water softner) and then continued with checking out our system.

This particular system gives cues that it's time for a service call to change filters. I called them to let them know and we made an appointment. They arrived on time & called 1/2 hour in advance to let me know they were on the way. They checked & cleaned the system, & changed filters. Such delicious water! Aside from the taste, it just gives me a good feeling knowing how clean the water I'm using & drinking daily is. I've always known how important clean water is & have used other filters in the past, but this one tops them all. Fabulous water! Fabulous people.

was here last year for the service and does a great job. This year he found an issue during our regular yearly filter change that was caused by the installation by another company of a new garbage disposal which resulted in our

I suspect that because we were not looking for a whole house system, we were dropped off the schedule so they could pursue the more lucrative installations. I would not do business with a company that treats customer's time with such disregard.

is who we went with. My experience with this company was very good, it was very good. No problem at all, in fact we also order products through them. They are very professional and very good. Everything was excellent, I have no problems with them at all. I think that they were the top of the list, I really do. We had no problem at all and we have been happy with the whole system since. They are a little high for the pricing but I don't know how to compare them with other companies. The house's size and the equipment we put in, I am sure it is all about the same. The quality was excellent. The responsiveness was excellent. We still do use their services. They come and service and check everything once every year and then we order our products through them.

The technician was excellent, he explained everything thoroughly. He also went ahead and made adjustments to my water softener and answered my numerous questions. Couldn't be more pleased.

The house I purchased about a year ago came with a Kinetico system. It was working until we had the pool redone, and did not know the hose bibs where on the softened water. So after 20000 gallons went through it in about 2 days, it was shot.
I called the orginal Kinetico (the only?) in the area, Superior Water. They came out and checked it, and told me it needed to be replaced. There where options for that which ranged from $1400 up to $4000 for a brand new system. They also suggested I get a Chlorine filter to "help save" the resin in the tanks. That would be an additional $900.
I called around, and found that a resin "rebed" which means, removing the old resin and putting in new would be around $250-$300. Why would I pay $900 to save $300 worth of material? Here in Hillsborough County and I'm sure most if not all of surrounding areas fed by "County Water" do not need a $900 Chlorine filter. I talked to others who kept trying to tell me about all of the contaminants in the water (only after I mentioned the Chlorine filter). Yes, there is Ammonia and Chlorine in the water, Hillsborough County uses Chloramines to keep the water clean. It's made of ammonia and chlorine. You can look up the water report from here: http://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/index.aspx?NID=1338
Our water is pretty safe, If someone keeps pushing some way-cool cleaner on you and keeps touting the "impurities" in the water ask them to point the body count. If it were true, I'm sure

over at Channel 10 would be quick to get off her dirty dining crusade and hop that. But there isn't. If you have well water, well that's different.
So the last place I called was FWT.

Zara came out. He told me they could fix the Kinetico, but they have to get parts from them, and they ain't cheap. I said, "Well they want $1400 for a rebuild and 1 year warranty. What do you have?" He showed my the Rainbow 4, brand new for $1492. Chlorine resistant resin, carbon in it to help reduce the Cholorine, Pentair metered valve (only recharges when it needs to) and a 5yr warranty. SOLD!
I inquired on his thoughts about a Chlorine filter. He said no, don't need one, unless I really want one. I mentioned what the Superior Water guy said, and he said, no I don't need one there is a carbon filter in it that helps reduce the Chlorine and the resin is Chlorine resistant and agreed wasn't worth the cost to "save the resin". We left it at that, no upsale, no "Well let me show you what's in the water!".
The system was scheduled for the following Monday, the crew that arrived was professional. They had the old system out and the new one in in around 2.5 hours.
I did require an electrician (who was coordinated through FWT) to put in an electrical outlet for the new FWT system. That ran $200 and was separate of the FWT deal.
Overall I would recommend them if you are looking for new or service. I was very pleased with my service and installation. It looks nice too. They actually ran the drain into the homes drain rather than having it run to the street which then runs into the lake behind me. I would certainly give them a call if you are looking for quotes!
