AARTECH POOLS INCJay did a great job resurfacing our pool. He came out to give us a quote immediately. The work was done when promised. The people that did the actual work did an outstanding job. Our pool wasn’t the easiest to resurface. It’s a large, very deep, pool and the previous owners had painted it. Jay still gave us a great price and did an exceptional job. AJason Lopiccolo Drywall & Spray Textures LLCI highly recommend Jason and his team. Our house was built in 1968. Previous owners had re-surfaced the ceilings with some type of textured material, not popcorn. Over time and due to a leaking roof, the ceiling looked horrible. Lots of cracks, material falling down in the kitchen, dips, etc. Jason came to the house to inspect and provide a quote to re-surface entire ceiling in main living areas and bathrooms. I wanted an extra smooth, clean finish. His team showed up on time to begin the work. They worked quickly and effeciently. They applied 3 coats then returned a couple days later to sand and spot finish any areas that were not perfect. I then had a painter prime and paint the ceiling. It now looks amazing. It looks brand new. Super smooth, no cracks, no dips. It's perfect. Thank you Jason and team for an exceptional job well done.- Michael K.

There was some issues with a supplier that we cannot hold against Southern Pool Plasters. They called with updates and kept us involved during the entire process. The office staff and field supervisors always took our calls and responded with accurate info not just “lip service”. The open dialogue is very refreshing in today’s society. My wife selected all the materials and colors while Southern Pool Plasterers made our pool and outdoor space a work of art. This is were we spend most of our time when not working and our dream is now a reality. The process is easy allow their crews to do their work they are awesome. AGarabar, Inc.Garabar did a terrific job replacing our roof. We ordered the tile a few months ahead to avoid the potential tile delays. The weather was excellent so the job took only 3 weeks from beginning to end. Everyone on the crew was extremely professional, arriving promptly every day at 8 am and, except for a brief lunch break, working right though the day until after 5PM. They were all very careful about protecting our driveway, pool area and shrubs of nails and other debris and cleaned up at the end of every day. The office staff was accessible as well, answering any questions we had. After the roof was done, Garabar's painting and stucco crew led by Andre painted the entire house. AAmerica RemodelingRoberto is the project manager and he is outstanding. We hired America Remodeling to fix a subpar drywall job by another contractor. We had moved a kitchen wall that needed to be re-built along with an arch. Every aspect of that project was done incorrectly resulting in crooked walls, edges that did not meet each other and bumpy surfaces. Roberto came in to save the day. He fixed what could be fixed and re-built what was beyond repair. He was honest and upfront in what could be fixed and what could not be. APicasso Expert RenovationsI bought a small single-family home in Williamsburg near Humboldt and Jackson, shelled out $60,000 for a contractor that put me off over and over and then kept my money and vanished. I was as jaded as one could be with the contractor/GC profession in NY. But, I had to renovate the 110-year-old, rotted out house. I bid contractors and did site visits for over 6 months. Big firms and small. All estimated the job time at 6 to 10 months and at a huge cost that was always double my budget. I found Picasso on this website and due to his reviews, called. He actually answered the phone, listened to my story, my concerns, my requirements and didn’t blink. He walked through my project and then required that I visit his past projects before he would offer a price as he wanted me to be sure he was for real. I visited a couple of his projects. He let me visit his past clients’ homes without him being with me. I spoke at length with the home owners, in their homes and it appeared as though his reviews were real. Being still a skeptic, I hired George/Picasso. George told me he could finish the entire house in 10 weeks. That again had me in disbelief but daring to hope. That included a complete backyard, finished basement, new roof structure/roofing, and gut remodel of both stories of the house. My house was to be a 2.5 bath, 2 bed with skylights in the vaulted master ceiling and full paver back yard with brick flower boxes. It was a 1 bath home that had not been renovated since the 60’s. It had sag issues, water damage and 100 years of rot. After literally a few of days the house was gutted and materials were starting to arrive. Picasso brings a crew of 10 to the house ever day and always the same personnel. George was at the house most every day as well. As they encountered issues in the house, the crew tackled and repaired/replaced all the problems that could not be seen from the initial walk-through. Believe it or not, George never asked me for an additional dollar. His price is his price. His crew handles issues. As a person on a very tight budget, it was a God-send. Picasso was happy to do a labor-only bid and I opened a direct account with a supply store. I received a detailed bill from the supplier for every piece of material. Every nail, screw and board. I have pictures of the before and the after. I also welcome any future client of Picasso who wishes it to visit my home, see the pictures and hear the story of how Picasso built me a home, managed the sub-contractors, finished the project on time and helped to keep me sane in the process.- Douglas S.

Roberto was professional and fair, and his crew did a great job. We had several cracks in our living room ceiling and they advised that we get the whole ceiling redone, which was the right thing to do- it looks great! They repaired the cracks and then perfectly retextured the ceiling to match the rest of our house. They cleaned up well and were very polite. I would definitely hire them again.- Joseph M.

AIn April of 2020 my father passed away leaving my brother and I to handle settling his estate and getting his home on the market to be sold. To say it was a very emotional and stressful period for us would be a huge understatement. Our father's house was built in the 1950's, and since that time, our parents did nothing to it. No major upkeep was done at all, so the house was in pretty bad shape. It needed a new "EVERYTHING". My brother and I were resigned that we would be lucky to find a buyer at any price who would want anything to do with the property. We initially called in Richard and his team to do a "Move out Cleaning" - just to make the house not disgusting. After the great job he did, we got to speaking and Richard opened our eyes to the home's potential. He could clearly see what we could not - so I asked him to provide me an estimate on everything that needed to be done to the house - which he completed within 48 hours. The price tag was very high, which was not a surprise considering the state of things. We were not able or willing to put up that kind of money no matter how much it needed it. We ended up investing a much smaller amount - about 25% of the original estimate and told Richard and his team to do what they could. WoW! What Richard and his team were able accomplish with a limited budget still amazes me! Richard was very knowledgeable and strategic in what repairs were necessary and what could be left to the buyer. He transformed the house! Upgraded bathrooms, roof repair, paint, replaced floors, landscaped the yard, got the house up to code to pass hurricane requirements, electrical work, plumbing fixes, pressure washing… he did so much! It looked so good when he was finished I almost wished we could keep it! By this time we were so comfortable with Richard and his professionalism we asked him to be our Seller Agent and list the house. We got 3 offers before the home was even listed, and closed two months later for a price that almost knocked me over! I cannot thank Richard and his team enough for what he did for my family. My brother is a first responder, and I am out of state. We simply didn’t have the time or the emotional energy to deal with the house after my father's death and the current global crisis happening in the world. Richard managed the entire process from start to finish - and many days went well and beyond what was expected of him. He handled getting gigantic antique pieces of furniture shipped to me in Georgia!... He simply took care of everything I asked him to, leaving me free to worry about one less thing. He always answered my calls, I never went to voicemail. He kept me informed of the progress and stuck to the timeline he quoted us. I pray I never have to do this again - but if I do, I will call Richard at Home Owners Services in a heartbeat.

AWe hired Black Gold for a full home remodel. We demoed some walls, new flooring, remodeled bathrooms and the kitchen. The planning process took a long time and Shess was very patient following up every few months to see if we were ready. Once we were finally ready, their team walked us through to make sure we accomplished our higher priorities and worked with us to fit other needs in within our budget. They said it would take two months to complete the project. I was skeptical but they finished everything within that time frame. They walked us through the whole process and made it as easy as it could be when taking on a large project. There were a lot moving parts but they made sure we prepared, knew what to expect, and had all of our purchased ready to go. Shess worked with us the whole time and offered great and creative design ideas. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail are great. All the people working with Black Gold, tile, electric, plumbing, etc, were great at their crafts and very friendly. Everything in the house turned out beautiful and we get compliments from all our friends and family when they see it for the first time. There were a few minor issues towards the end of the project but their team did their best to address all our concerns as quickly as possible. We are extremely happy with how the whole project turned out and would definitely recommend Black Gold for any remodel project.
