U Haul Moving & Storage of Cocoa
I had one of the newer trucks in the U-Haul fleet, a TT-series 20-foot van built on the Ford E-350 chassis.  It was just the right size for my move.  The gas mileage was typical for this type of truck, around 8 MPG and was what I expected.  You must hook up the auto transport trailer to the truck before you can load your car.   If you are worried about the low-clearance of the car, drive the fully-loaded truck with trailer attached, and have someone drive your car to a shopping center where there may be low-spots for water drainage in the parking lot.  Put the trailer wheels into that low spot with the truck on the higher ground nearby.  The goal here is to get the extended drive up ramps in line with the deck of the trailer to reduce the possibility of hitting the bottom of the car body as you come up the ramps to park the car onto the trailer.  You also want to make sure your car is centered in the tracks on the trailer deck with none of your tires at the edges of the tracks on the trailer body itself.  The car will bounce up and down on its suspension on the trailer deck.  You do NOT want your car doors near the trailer fenders as the bouncing can scrape the paint off if the car touches fenders.

    Penske Truck Rental
Penski did just fine. There were no delays. The truck itself had over 120,000 miles on it, and had a tendency bo buck while it was still cold. It was somewhat frightening at first, but the bucking stopped after a while each day and anyway I got used to it. The primary purpose of this review is to give some hints. 1) When renting the truck, pay little or no attention to the quoted costs, and simply ignore the discounts available to AAA members. That opening quote merely reflects what they would like to get. In our case, they initially quoted around $2,500, but agreed to $1,700 so readily that clearly that was the real price all along. I found it was worthwhile calling for quotes several times because they were not the same. 2) Purchase the waiver insurance that protections against damage to the truck. Most of us are not experienced drivers and regular auto insurance will not cover such damage. In fact, I did bang an overhead branch, and because I had acquired the insurance, Penske simply ignored the damage. 3) Don't worry about weigh stations. One needs to go through them, if they are open, but rented trucks are pretty much ignored. My wife was following me in the fmaily car, and she simply went through them too. Nobody cared. 4) Motels accept trucks. But watch out where you park because others can park near you, making getting out real tough given the vehicle's lack of maneuverability. 5) Have the Penske attendant brief you on the workings of the truck. It has lots of switches and some are not well labeled. 6) Don't expect to be entertained. First the truck is very noisy and the radio is not easy to hear. Second, you probably are going to want to concentrate solely on driving. It's not exactly difficult, but it can be a little tricky at times.  7) When filling the tank, continue to fill long after the automatic shutoff kicks in. Those shutoffs are designed for tanks with long necks, and these tanks don't have necks. That's particularly true when returning the truck, as Penske charges $8,00 a gallon if the truck is not returned fully fueled. Also keep one's eye open on diesel prices (shown in green on many signs) because filling up can entail 35 or more gallons (twice a day) and a small difference in price can result in many dollars in cost. Prices vary more between stations than they do with regular gas. Scrubby little places which don't accept payment at the pump can often be much cheaper than fancy stations. 8) Plan on driving no more that 8 hours a day. Driving a big truck is hard  yet somewhat boring work and one doesn't want to be less than sharp behind the wheel.

AAA Mike Todisco's Moving & Storage Inc
Very professional company at a great price.  Can't speak highly enough of their excellent work.  These guys claimed to be an established company who was trusted by the community--they are and have earned the respect of my family.  They moved lots of furniture for us across the state--including a successful move of TWO pianos.  Hire them.

    PENSKE LOGISTICS
I liked everything about my experience. Their communication and follow up was excellent. They are the best rental company I have ever used. They offer 24 hour assistance. Their rates are the best and the trucks are the newest. I reccomend them to anyone. They offer a variety of truck sizes and the truck was very good on gas.

All My Sons Moving & Storage of West Palm Beach
If you use this company be sure you get IN WRITING how they will charge you and WHAT they will charge you for. Also follow the truck so you know if they make any stops along the way.  We were charged while they stopped at a convenience store and refueled. We cannot prove it but we believe we had a verbal understanding that they did not honor.  We believe we were misled and overcharged. A written agreement would have prevented this.  We take partial responsibility for not getting it.

    Budget
I had a bad experience with them. I reserved the truck online and when I went for the truck they said that it was somewhere else. I had to drive for 40 minutes to another store and by the time I was there they were closed. I got the truck and was driving across the country and the truck broke down. I was not happy with them. They said they were going to give me compensation but they were waiting on me to do the paper work.   It would have been nice if they had discounted me the truck rather than have me provide documentation for compensation.
