Plumber reviews in West Melbourne

I was in another state and my renter called saying that the hot water heater was leaking all over the place. Since it was over 10 years old I decided to have a new one put in. I've used Dave's Plumbing and Drain Cleaning several times before and decided to call them. They set an appointment on the day that my renter would be home and they arrived on time. They put in a new shut off valve, expansion valve, hot water heater, and even an over flow pan for if it was ever needed. The service person was polite and cleaned up the area. I was happy with the service.

Perfectly! Mike and Jason arrived within the scheduled time frame. They got right to work and finished quickly. When they left, one could not tell they had been here EXCEPT for the newly installed faucet. Friendly, professional, efficient. Completely satisfied customer!

Hector was on time and very professional. You could tell he knew septic systems well. Even though the tank access covers were buried, he found them right away. Pleasant gentleman and a hard worker. Cleaned up neatly after the job.

Leaving for work one day I entered the garage to find that the hot water tank had started leaking. I did a quick search on Angi's list and found good reviews for GW Plumbing. By 11 that morning he had someone at my house to replace the pump. I was concerned I was going to be without water for the weekend and REALLY appreciated their SUPER FAST response. After the install the service man wrote the invoice and while I thought it was a little high I was just glad to have it done quickly and I could get back to my life. About a week later I got a letter from GW Plumbing with a check from them. They had found a math error on the invoice and WITHOUT me prompting them sent me a refund for the correction. WOW!!!! I was sooo impressed!

Great service. Paul called prior to arriving as I was told he would. The work was done promptly and professionally. He adjusted the thermostat on my 12 year old water heater and if that doesn't solve the problem he explained what the next steps would be. I was very impressed and will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who asks.

The team came by the next day, found the problem (faulty installation of pipe that became damaged and came apart). They quickly replaced the pipe properly and turned my water back on. They left the broken pipe for me to take to the HOA for possible reimbursement. Very friendly, quick, and professional. Highly recommended! Thanks!

Initially the repair worked but in less than 1 month the float switch stopped working. Called back the company today and they said "that guy doesn't work for us anymore" and they would not come fix or warranty their work. Very unprofessional.

The own did excellent work re-placing the sump pump and was very reliable in completing the job. My sump pump failed on a Thursday, and the owner made sure he came out the next day to determine the problem. He pumped out my sump pump tank to hold us over for the weekend, then returned Monday morning in the rain to finish the job. Also, he was willing to work with me on the price to include a full septic tank pump and give me a discount if I dug the two holes to the septic tank. I will have them come out for now on to address all my septic tank issues.

It is never an easy go dealing with American Home Shield Home Warranty. I have paid for home warranty insurance 2 or 3 years. American Home Shield Home Warranty website is ok for making service requests, and that's the best part to this company; everything else is significantly disappointing. To reach a Customer Service Representative (CSR), it will cost you an hour of waiting. When a Customer Service ask you if you would like a supervisory call-back, that is their way of ending the conversation. Don't hold your breath waiting for a call back, it never happens. Burleson Services Inc., the company they hired to repair my HVAC system has an F rating on the BBB website and a significant following of dedicated angry customers across the web. What lead me to write this review today was, Burleson Services Inc. had a scheduled appointment to repair my HVAC system today between 9am and 1pm. I work from home. The last time I left my home was 6:30pm yesterday. So at 12:00 noon, no one had showed to repair my HVAC and the window had 1 hour remaining; I called Burleson Services Inc. to see if any one was coming and was reassured someone would be there. So I continued to work; I work from home. In fact, when I scheduled the appointment I made sure to tell the company I worked from home; I'm on the phone often; here's the gate code, come on in and knock on the door. At 2:28pm I received a phone call from Burleson Services Inc. and was told someone would be at my home soon. I asked how soon because I will begin an interview shortly. The representative just blurted out "You're just going to have to reschedule your appointment" and hung up. I completed my interview and immediately attempted to reach someone at American Home Shield Home Warranty. 30 minutes wasted sitting on hold because I had an incoming phone call. Second attempt I reached a CSR after an hour and four minute wait. The representative read to me from her screen "The customer was not available; reschedule". I explained to the CSR what happened. She responded "Well, you wasn't at home for your appointment; you have to reschedule". I asked her to explain to me how could I not be at home, if I was working and I work from home. I also reiterated I called them at 12:00, my appointment was 9am to 1pm. Actually, this is the second company that used this excuse when they couldn't find the time to keep their schedule appointment, and American Home Shield Home Warranty accepts this poor service. With American Home Shield Home Warranty, you may eventually have your appliance or item serviced however; it is a terribly frustrating process. It brings American Home Shield Home Warranty priorities into focus. I believe American Home Shield Home Warranty works off the principle they can save money by hiring Contractors that would never receive a call-back for services if hired directly by a customer. Actually, I don't know of anyone that would hire a company with an F rating for home repairs, except... And I'm still waiting for that Supervisory call-back.

My home had a tankless hot water heater that had developed a nasty habit of not turning on for small water demand like washing your hands in the bathroom sink. When it did turn on it would occasionally run wild temperature-wise and scald you in the shower if you were not careful. The Sun plumber showed up right on time. He took a look at my water heater and then after a quick phone call to the home office he announced the repair would cost me $255+. In the interest of getting our unit going again I said sure. There was never a mention that the repair procedure he was planning might not do anything to repair the situation. The Sun Plumber hooked up a small submersible sump pump which he had in a five gallon pail. Using a couple of hoses he connected his pump to special fittings my hot water heater had at the input and output for descaling. He then cycled vinegar through my heater for an hour. At the end of the hour he removed the bucket and we examined the liquid. Nothing. It was still basically clear. Apparently scale build up was not what was wrong with my water heater. Further analysis pointed towards a part that might be the problem. Might be the problem was not what I wanted to hear after paying out over $255 so far. This guy was not really knowledgable in my opinion, he was experimenting on me. He said that was all he could do, he would call me with a price for the replacement part. I paid him the $255+ and he left. Two days later he called me with the price of the replacement part he was recommending, it was another $250 plus $140 installation labor. I asked if he could quote us on a new replacement hot water heater and he said sure. My wife and I had already agreed if the total price was over $100 we were going to replace the heater rather than spend any more on this one. Two more days passed then the Sun plumber called with the price for a replacement heater it was over $2500 for a premium Rinnai model. I asked about the model number and gallons-per-minute and he had no idea. He said he picked this model because it had a very simple exhaust pipe that he could install. He also said he put himself in for six hours of labor installing the unit. I asked if he could recommend a less expensive model since we did not need anything near the capacity of the top of the line Rinnai. He told me he would call me back but after a week and a half I had heard nothing. Instead of calling Sun Plumbing again I called the Rinnai USA corporate office and started asking questions. They told me Sun Plumbing was not an authorized dealer and if I bought an installed unit from them I would have no factory warranty. They further told me that Rinnai dealers must go through factory training to install their products, high efficiency tankless hot water heaters are nothing to take chances with since you can burn your house down or blow it up with gas leaks. They recommended two local dealers, I called them both, got estimates and hired the lower priced estimate (who was the actual installer for the other company I called which was our propane supplier). The dealer stocks Rinnai hot water heaters and put me on their calendar for 3-days later. It took the two factory trained installers 1-hour and 45-minutes to install my new Rinnai tankless 6.5 gallon per minute hot water heater. They installed a new chimney through the roof and brand new valves and fittings for descaling the new heater (which is recommended every 3-6 months of use). Im giving Sun Plumbing an F for several reasons. !. Upfront, they did not tell me the descaling might do anything, it was posed as a solution to my problem. It changed nothing, it was a total waste of money $255+ while Suns Plumber experimented on my hot water heater. 2. Sun plumbing was very slow to respond to inquires about fixing my problem. They were on time for the first appointment but after that it was confusion and a waiting game. At one point when I was texting with the plumber about my job he said he was too busy, call the office. I did, they made another appointment with the same plumber again and answered no questions. Nobody knew nothing. 3. Sun plumbing did not tell me they are not a Rinnai dealer (they buy Rinnai hardware through some distributor). The plumber made it sound like it was no big deal for him to install the new unit. He said he had installed them before but could not remember when the last one like this was. Overall it sounded like this plumber has plenty of work and did not want to mess with me unless it was at the ludicrous rate. 4. Sun was very slow to respond and in the end just completely dropped the ball and said nothing when I asked about a model that cost less than $2500+. When I did ask about the high price I was told we do things quality, when it calls for 1-inch we put in 1.25-inch. Was that supposed to make me feel better? They install bigger stuff than the job calls for so that means quality? 5. Rinnai told me that condensing type water heaters like Sun's plumber was recommending are not really recommended for use in this part of Florida because our ground water is too warm. What? The representative from our propane company said the same thing, condensing type units are for areas of the country that have much colder water coming out of the ground. Were on a well, our source water temperature is 68-degrees year around. It would be a waste to install the condensing unit here. Obviously I wont be calling Sun Plumbing back for anything ever again.
