Pest Control reviews in West Melbourne

    On Point Wildlife Removal
It went very smoothly, from my initial call to their office. Jerry answered the phone and was very polite, he explained that he could have somebody out the next morning (it's was 3:30pm on a Wednesday when I called). He also briefly explained how the process works, and that an inspector would be out to visit me and ***** the situation, I was provided a 2 hour window when to expect James (the inspector), and that he would call on the way. The next morning I got a call from James when he was on the way, and showed up at my house exactly when the appointment was for. He got on my roof and in my attic to inspect it and showed me pictures of how the animals were getting in (I had been hearing scratching noises at night time). He went over in detail all the entry points, their trapping measures to eliminate the pest, and how they would seal my house and clean up the rat droppings when finished. Over the next two weeks I saw James and his crew many times and they were always polite, professional, and clean cut (their uniforms were always professional and neat, even though they are in a very dirty business) it was nice to be able to tell them apart from other contractors or people on the street because of their bright blue and orange trucks and uniforms, as an elderly woman, it made me feel safe knowing they were professionals. They did an excellent job, never left a mess, got all the rodents out and did exactly what they promised. This company isn't the cheapest in town, but they do a phenomenal job, and they are worth every penny of you want a job done right and not have to worry about a fly by night company. You get what you pay for, there's a reason so many people in my neighborhood have used them, they are very honest and truthful. They also suggested I could help with energy cost by adding a layer of insulation to my attic and they could provide insulation that is insect and animal resistant for a very fair price (I had already been considering this and already had quotes from other companies) , I will most likely be taking them up on their offer in the near future.

    Massey Services Inc
In addition, Massey's written proposal included screening off all vents, pipe stacks, and long ridge roof vent, numerous locations. The thing is, when the bat contract I did hire was up there, and I asked him about screening those off, he pointed out they already had screens in them. That were in good condition. Pipe stacks all had flaps that were operating properly. Only a few locations where roof lines met needed to be sealed up. Massey's proposal had me paying for things that were already in place. I'm glad I always get a few quotes for things like this.

    Slug-A-Bug Inc
When I called, everyone was courteous and I was able to get an appt that fit my schedule. The initial inspector told us exactly what was going on and our technician came to treat our home 4 days after. The technician even came back by our home two weeks later to retreat the out side of our house because it rained shortly after he did the initial treatment and he wanted to ensure his work.

He sprayed the outside walls, around the windows, got cobwebs out of soffit area, and even surrounding areas around the house for ants.  We were very pleased with his work. He does this every 3 months and we have not seen any insects.

Pearce Power Spraying and Pest Control, Inc.
Mr. Pearce was hired a year ago with assurances the yard would be restored to a healthy, thick lawn.  In preparation we re-soded the bad areas.  Initially the lawn improved.  However over the past 6 months more and more weeds developed - until it was roughly 50% weeds - and deteriorated to one of the worst yards in the neighborhood.    Parts of our lawn started dying and we called to see if it had been sprayed and fertilized on schedule.  It had not, they said they had been over whelmed by all the rain and they would get to it. The front lawn continued to deteriorate.
Several weeks later, after we advised that we would not pay another dime and were considering a new lawn company, Mr. Pearce came to look at the lawn.  He walked into the neighbors yard and pointed out that they had weeds (who cares they were not paying him AND the neighbors lawn was far superior to ours), advised he had not fertilzed in over 4 months due to a ban, blamed the lawn care service (who had given him our referral initially) and said it would be 3-4 months before we saw any turnaround.  He did not offer to re-sod parts of the lawn that were dead or had little grass left and admitted that he 'just didn't have the time to check on his customers lawns anymore - that was the way of the world these days.'

We contacted/hired a more professional lawn service (who had great looking lawns in the neighborhood) after the people who had been cutting our lawn for the past 2 years said the lawn would not come back and the best thing to do would be to re-sod it - AGAIN.  The new company found not only weeds and chinch bugs but fungus as well.  They also indicated the ban was not for ALL fertilization only one chemical - their company continued to fertilizer customer's lawns (with obviously good results). Our belief is that due to Pearce's negligence, our lawn had become the worse looking lawn in a neighborhood of about 200 houses.  Our advice:  avoid Pearce Power Spraying and Insect Control like the plague!  Otherwise your lawn may succumb!

Rick Ricker Termite & Pest Control Inc
The inspector determined the species of the beetle, which confines itself to hardwood, and he reviewed the extent of the damage. Although others have advised tenting and intense fumigation, this inspector suggested that we treat the problem by removing the hardwood paneling and treating more locally if warranted. This will be a huge pain, but I think it a far less invasive and less costly than fumigation. His analysis was, as were others, cost free. However, he left without a costly estimate for tenting or for any real recommendations that would benefit his company with future work. This company is in Tampa and I live on the east coast, but they cover almost all of Florida. I would highly recommend consulting with them for any pest extermination needs.

    Apex Pest Control Inc
They are always courteous and professional.  They do quaterly outside perimeter treatments and once a year inside if needed.  They always call ahead and respect my home ( they use shoe coverings when coming inside ).  They do more than my previous service that did less.  I believe they are very competitive as far as pricing. I rarely have bugs and they will remove mud wasp nests and spray fire ant mounds near the home, which is above and beyond my previous service.

Ecor Industries Lawn Spraying and Pest Control
I called several pest control companies. ECOR was first to come by and give me an estimate. It took over a week before all of the other three would be able to give me their estimates. ECOR was by far the most responsive and the most reasonable. They showed up on time and the technician made sure he applied the product so that it would be completely effective. He even waited a few minutes to see if a large rain cloud that was passing over wasn't going to let loose. I'm completely satified and will definitly use them again.
