    Able Air Inc
My heat pump stopped cooling and was blowing hot air. At a neighbors recommendation, I called Able Air to have them come out to see what they could do for me. By the time the technician showed up, the system had reset itself and was working. He looked at the air handler, checked out the amount of Freon in the compressor (at my recommendation), and told me to call back if it happened again. It did the next day. So, I opened the heat pump, opened the electrical panel (which he didnt even do), and immediately saw the burnt wire into the contactor. I replaced them, and have had no problems since.

    Reynolds Air & Heat
Replaced a 12 year old heat pump and air handler. My dilemma was having it replaced while being over 1,000 miles away from the home. After extensive research and speaking with multiple companies I spoke with Zach at Reynold Air and Heat. Patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful presenting multiple options. My conversations with him left me with a positive impression, remember I was over 1,000 miles away from my home. Decided on an American Standard HP, fairly priced, the individuals who did the install did an excellent job! Very positive experience! I feel that Zach and Reynolds Air and Heat are a company that has integrity, totally customer centered, centered on customer satisfaction! I would recommend them without hesitation or reservation! Durham and Sons Inc
We purchased a new HVAC system from Durham and Sons for an unusual house. They offered thoughtful solutions the previous installation failed to address. From quoting to finished installation, we cannot sing praises strong enough of RJ and his crew. The impressive level of care, attention to detail and cooperation exhibited by everyone is THE new professional benchmark by which all future work here will be measured. Our advice? Don't buy a HVAC system from anyone other than Durham and Sons. We couldn't be more pleased -- Michael and Susan Croft

    J & J Air
We had actually gotten three quotes from other companies and although J & J was not the least expensive they seemed the most knowledgeable. The service manager, Joe actually came out and gave us the quote and we felt very comfortable with him. He didnt try to sell us more than what we needed and answered all our questions thoroughly. He coordinated the whole installation and stopped by several times to make sure everything was going well. The crew was very professional and worked well together. They wore booties in our home as well as cleaned their mess before they left. They took the time when they finished to answer any questions and walked us through the steps for the new thermostat. Since the installation, Joe the service manager has followed up with us to see if everything was working fine and if we had any questions. Great company!!

    A-Best Air & Heat
The A-Best Air & Heat guys, Corey & John were on time & installed our A/C unit with no problems. After they were done, they picked-up & hauled away all the old parts & trash. Our neighbor works for a Commercial A/C Co. & checked it out & was very impressed with the work that was done. We highly recommend A-Best Air & Heat. Bob Thomas

    A-Best Air & Heat
John the tech showed up on time. Inspected the inside unit. Went outside. My wife and me thought he took longer than expected. He had to repair the wiring which he was cut by a weed wacker. We started talking and he has 27 years in the field and we found him very personable, professional. We hope next time John will do our scheduled maintenace.

    A-Best Air & Heat
A-Best arrived to replace my neighbors ac unit in the morning. After I left, A-Best mistakenly disconnected my ac unit, not my neighbors. When I got home later that day, A-Best were still working on my neighbors condo and my condo was hot and would turn on. We asked the tech Richard ,working on my neighbors condo, if he could have disconnected the wrong ac unit accidentally, he said, "no." I told Richard there was a problem with my AC. He said, "it's not my problem" and walked away. When the condo maintenance supervisor came to check the electric, he discovered that A-Best disconnected the wrong ac unit. The maintenance man pointed out to A-Best tech Richard and he disconnected the wrong ac unit. I called A-Best and they said Richard would look at it after he finished installing the neighbors unit inside after 8 pm. We asked for them to send someone else, they refused. A-Best finished at the neighbors and left. We contacted a different ac company who arrived the next morning to reconnected our ac unit. We were without ac for 28 hours because A-Best disconnected the wrong condo ac system.

    American Home Shield Home Warranty
It is never an easy go dealing with American Home Shield Home Warranty. I have paid for home warranty insurance 2 or 3 years. American Home Shield Home Warranty website is ok for making service requests, and that's the best part to this company; everything else is significantly disappointing. To reach a Customer Service Representative (CSR), it will cost you an hour of waiting. When a Customer Service ask you if you would like a supervisory call-back, that is their way of ending the conversation. Don't hold your breath waiting for a call back, it never happens. Burleson Services Inc., the company they hired to repair my HVAC system has an F rating on the BBB website and a significant following of dedicated angry customers across the web. What lead me to write this review today was, Burleson Services Inc. had a scheduled appointment to repair my HVAC system today between 9am and 1pm. I work from home. The last time I left my home was 6:30pm yesterday. So at 12:00 noon, no one had showed to repair my HVAC and the window had 1 hour remaining; I called Burleson Services Inc. to see if any one was coming and was reassured someone would be there. So I continued to work; I work from home. In fact, when I scheduled the appointment I made sure to tell the company I worked from home; I'm on the phone often; here's the gate code, come on in and knock on the door. At 2:28pm I received a phone call from Burleson Services Inc. and was told someone would be at my home soon. I asked how soon because I will begin an interview shortly. The representative just blurted out "You're just going to have to reschedule your appointment" and hung up. I completed my interview and immediately attempted to reach someone at American Home Shield Home Warranty. 30 minutes wasted sitting on hold because I had an incoming phone call. Second attempt I reached a CSR after an hour and four minute wait. The representative read to me from her screen "The customer was not available; reschedule". I explained to the CSR what happened. She responded "Well, you wasn't at home for your appointment; you have to reschedule". I asked her to explain to me how could I not be at home, if I was working and I work from home. I also reiterated I called them at 12:00, my appointment was 9am to 1pm. Actually, this is the second company that used this excuse when they couldn't find the time to keep their schedule appointment, and American Home Shield Home Warranty accepts this poor service. With American Home Shield Home Warranty, you may eventually have your appliance or item serviced however; it is a terribly frustrating process. It brings American Home Shield Home Warranty priorities into focus. I believe American Home Shield Home Warranty works off the principle they can save money by hiring Contractors that would never receive a call-back for services if hired directly by a customer. Actually, I don't know of anyone that would hire a company with an F rating for home repairs, except... And I'm still waiting for that Supervisory call-back.

    Durham and Sons Inc
THINK ALL AIR CONDITIONER INSTALLATION COMPANIES ARE THE SAME? THINK AGAIN We requested quotes from six different companies. I purposely chose three small companies and three top-tier local contracting companies with long track records and excellent reviews. Here is how the bidding went: 1. One estimator did not show up at his appointment time and we never heard from them again. 2. The second company had a man show up who did a 12-minute quick once-over of our site and said hed get back to us. He really wanted to sell us a 16-SEER system that he personally liked but we wanted maximum efficiency. He left and we never heard anything more from them, they did not bid. 3. The third company showed up and was extremely thorough, it took him two hours to gather all the information about our site. He did extensive research into the power wiring and the access for all the new copper lines. He was very nice, the nephew of the owner and the heir to the company. 4. The fourth company was a small one man (with an assistant) outfit, he pitched us a Carrier System with a 18 Seer rating. I called him that night to ask why he did not bid their most efficient unit but I got his voice mail. I left him a message. We made note of the fact his marketing said call 24/7 but I got voice mail. He NEVER returned my call. 5 & 6. The fifth and sixth companies to send estimators did not do a thorough job reviewing the site. They both had printers in their brief case bags. After looking at our place, each entered numbers into a program that spit out the finished quote, they printed it there on the spot and then launched in to canned car-salesman pitches for why I should deal with them. Both of these guys were the most expensive by over $2000 and over $3000 more than the quote we received from the third company. I should also mention that both 5 & 6 ignored sizing the supply plenum correctly, neither included a drain pan under the air handler, both wanted more money for the air cleaner as an option and neither of them mentioned the size of the supply duct in the wall of the air handler room. After receiving their quotes I asked each what about the supply plenum size?. One said the existing was fine and the other quoted me an $800 option to have it modified. Both said I could add a water pan for extra money but it was not needed since they had floor sensors to shut the unit down if there was water detected on the floor under the unit. Personally I liked the idea of a metal pan to catch water since we already had a bad experience with this on the old system and had to tear out all the wet carpet from the utility closet the gear is in. AND THE WINNER IS The third company to bid responded with an email quote the day after their estimator was here, it was waiting for me when I woke up in the morning. I printed it and spent the next hour studying it. They quoted me the exact system I was looking for. They made several very useful low cost suggestions and they offered me an upgrade to the duct work which feeds my recording studio for only $440 (very reasonable price in the middle of hot Florida summer). They included an oversized 5-inch tall air cleaner box that everybody else wanted $400 for as an option. They also quoted me a couple of lesser systems for comparison. On top of having the most comprehensive and complete quote they also had the lowest price of anyone who gave us an estimate ($3000 less than the most expensive, $2000 less than the nearest next highest). They were no BS and they had their own staff answering the phones when you call. Everyone I ever spoke to was super nice. Gee, which company do you think got our business? Theyre called Durham and Sons and theyre located here in Melbourne, Florida. Today I had my post installation building inspection which is a County requirement. The inspector from Brevard County took one look at our air-handler installation and said Durham and Sons, you cant do better. I look at a lot of installations and I love looking at Durhams work, theyre the best.
