    It’s not too far away from me. They can be costly too. They been around for a minute, they are in the area. So, when you’re driving by you see them and that’s how that goes. You see that it’s Tire Kingdom and they seem like a big company, okay let me use them. If anything else was to go wrong, we will just take it back to the dealer and that’s really going to be way more money. It there’s something major, major and you have to take it back to the dealer, then that’s something I would do. If it’s something like an oil change or tires or something like that, then I’ll take it to Tire Kingdom. They give me a print out when they are done. So you will know if anything extra is wrong, they do that as well.

    I can trust them because they are trustworthy mechanics. My girlfriend just happened to pass by their store 25 years ago and she started to use them so even I got my work done there. They are good people and have influenced us for a long time.

    I love them! The mechanic cares about Minis. He often finds issues that I didn't initially complain about, but he wants to make me aware of. He also corrects those problems for me. It doesn't cost me money because it's all covered under warranty. You feel like family when you're there.

    They treated me very well when I made my purchase. My insurance company offers $1000 off on the ticket price of a vehicle at certain dealerships, and Vista Mini was one of them, but it referred to specific models and mine was not one of those models, yet they still gave me my $1000 off. They pointed me in the right direction to get the best deal I could. Their customer service was awesome. We're in the mini-club, so we go there for a lot of events and it's a friendship more than just a business. The actual salesman who placed my order is out of the country, but the gentleman who took over for him is wonderful, he showed me everything about the car, he treated me right and kept me informed. The mechanic there that we use is, again, a friend who's in our car club, he drives a mini and I have a lot more confidence in him than with the maintenance side from other dealers. He'll look at what your problem is, what you bring it in for, but he'll look beyond that as well. He takes very good care of me. The car model that I bought was not yet available. It was being talked about but they hadn't worked out how to bring it into the country yet and I told my initial salesperson that as soon as it became available to order to let me know and he called the day it was available. When the brochures and stuff came out he sent me that information. The car even came in sooner than they thought it would.

    Been a loyal customer for several years. Always responsive to my needs due to the fact I am always working & traveling to customers, never wasting time.  Every time I get an estimate and time to complete. They never try to "upsell" repairs I do not need, all extra repairs the staff will show me what has to be done. Been to other Goodyear & Firestone in southern Broward and was not treated correctly.

    Firstly let me say that I could not believe these guys have won so many accolades from Angies List. I am almost a little suspect about some of them, or, maybe something has changed recently. The reason I say that is that I have found that "A Listed" companies on Angies list, usually have something special about them, I have used a good few including some big ticket items like replacing my house windows and having my home AC completely reconditioned.
     I look for and expect, excellent service, a caring and intelligent attitude, fair prices and (within reason) a commitment to a price.
    What I found here, was (seemingly ) a lack of expertise, (in the AC case anyway) non-caring customer service & attitude and a broken promise.
    Details:When I first arrived and told them of the problem, they told me I needed my gas replaced, they deducted this from the specific nozzle that was on the gas chamber for the AC. I told them that the gas had been changed over to the new format and I did not know why the old nozzle type was still on. But I had to point out a second time that when the air was on, it was ice-cold. There was not a problem with the gas but the system coming on and off. If I did not put my foot down they would have replaced the nozzle and charged me for the kit and labor.
    Then Titus told me the relay to the compressor needed replacing (other partner of the company) and  they needed to order the part if I wanted to get it done. He told me how much the part would be and I had already confirmed that I would get it done and be back in the morning. I asked him if he wanted me to pay for the part there and then and he said no. Just to look at your car they charge $65 (If I remember correctly) but that is subtracted from any repairs they do for you. I could not get there in the morning but rang early afternoon to tell them I was coming in about an hour and they said fine. When I arrived, I found that they had not ordered the part at all. This was a serious gaff in my thinking because they said they would. 
    (Note: When I paid the bill the next day, I bought this broken promised up and Titus acknowledged the problem, he said it was wrong and apologized- I appreciated that he admited it, but I had to bring it up while an employee nodded his head in agreement,  but felt with my whole experience, it was worth noting.)
    Then they told me the job would be a couple of hours at least. Given the super small waiting room, I asked if they could drive me a mile down the road to the nearest restaurant where I could eat and wait. They told me they didn't have anyone available. I only asked because someone else on Angies list had glowingly mentioned they offered that sort of service. But they could not. As it happened I asked if I could get a ride with the guy who had to go and get my part, They said yes. I was at the resturant for around 3 hours and they called and said it was ready. (No offer to come and get me) So I ordered a cab back.
    As I said at the start, I left the shop after the repair with my AC running (remember it would go on and off)  and those guys telling me with conviction that they had solved the problem. As you know the AC stopped later that night and exhibited the same symptoms that it had before going to Val P Auto Service. I ended up fixing the problem with other people for a lot less then the $500 part they had suggested when I went back the next day and told them it's still not working.
    Of course it's highly debatable whether I needed to spend the $187 to begin with. I'll never know.
    On my own admittance I agree that sometimes electrical problems can be hard to diagnose, but what peeved me in this case was two fold. 1) These guys told me with conviction what was wrong with my system. There was never a sense of humility here, they were the experts, this was the problem and I should listen. If they had told me, "They were pretty sure that this was the problem" then I might not even be writing this, but the conviction of the remedy bordered on arrogance.
    2) Having used Angie's list for a year now, I look straight at the top of the A list (don't we all?) when looking for a vendor or merchant. Having dealt with a few of them  I have become used to excellent customer service, expertise and respect for the customer. In this case I found all of the above to be lack luster. I also found it strange that there were so many good reports given my encounter. Maybe something has changed of late. I can not believe given my experience, that I was the only one who received such service and everyone else went away smiling. In my experience, this was a smoking gun scenario.
    I will never go back there, I do not believe these guys deserve the A rating they have.
    I am not saying they are crooks, dishonest or bad mechanics. I am saying, that my experience delivered Tardiness, a lack of expertise and average (or below) customer service.

Joe Jr. had to rename the shop to Val P's Auto Service & take on a partner, Titus. Continue as you are, I appreciate your honesty & sincere concern.

    A terrible experience. Before beginning work, I specifically asked what was included in the A/C check that they advertise for $9.95. She said that they put a dye in the system to find out where the leak was. Well, all they did is hook up the hoses and then come out and say that it would cost $84 to add dye to the system and find the leak. Rather than fight, I paid $12.79 (%9.95 + tax and charges). A real rip-off. I will report them to the Better Business Bureau and dispute the charge on my credit card. Do NOT use this repair shop!
