Roofing reviews in West Delray Beach

    Safe Guard Roofing
In the end, it appears that Safeguard Roofing put on good roof but BEFORE YOU HIRE THEM, READ THIS REVIEW!!!! I signed the contract with them in early December of 2018. The job didn't get completed until July of 2018 (8 months). When I picked the tile from the catalogue they showed me, I asked if they had that tile in stock and I was told "Yes". They claim the job took so long because they couldn't get the tile. Their initial contract came in at what I thought was a reasonable price but the contract only covered 100 sq ft of 'new wood'. (I should have negotiated better). So, I ended up paying another $1,850 for plywood and facia. Considering that a 4' x 8' piece of plywood costs about $35-$40 a sheet (retail) at Home Depot, what Safeguard charged was ridiculous. Additionally, when they replaced some facia, they left spaces between the soffit vents and the new facia. In one area, I had to pay an additional $250.00 for a contractor to fill in those spaces (about 20 feet up) which we agreed to deduct from the final bill. Safeguard felt that was not their responsibility and acted like they were doing me a favor. Also, when one of their contractors delivered the tar/asphalt and tarpaper they used a truck which had an extendable conveyer belt which they positioned right on the front gutter of the house which, of course, bent that gutter. The same contractor that I paid to fill in the spaces between the soffit vents and facia tried bending it back but I'm going to have to replace it. Again, Safeguard doesn't feel that it's their responsibility. Also, Safeguard uses different subcontractors for each phase of the job - one group to remove the existing tile and strip the roof, another group to replace wood and facia, another group to apply the first layer of tarpaper, another group to hot mop, etc., etc.. If you don't speak Spanish fluently, you will have trouble communicating with them. And most of the time you don't know when they are coming. There were times I would suddenly hear someone up on the roof at 7:00 at night because they had to do something before the local inspector showed up. At this point, I can only hope that they did a good job re-roofing the house but only time will tell. The original contract price was for about $24,000 - by the time we were done 7 or 8 months later, I paid close to $27,000 and I still have to replace that bent gutter and repair two more soffit vents. Once they got my final payment, they said they were going to send me Warranty papers - I'm not holding my breath.

    Preventive Maintenance Support Services Inc
It cost more that we anticipated originally, but in the end it worked out for the best. the cost increase was due to changes that we made after the construction began, so new plans and revision ect had cost overruns. The company did a good job we are very satisfied with the work and higly recommend them

Excellent job by Brian and his crew. Prompt on issuing a quote and follow-up with the work that was done. They came back for a second day to be sure that the work was done properly. Seemed quite thorough and customer focused which was a relief. All in all, an excellent experience. Highly recommend.

    J & R Restoration Services Inc
My husband and I moved to Florida in 2015. The house that we purchased had a mold issue and J&R Restoration was recommended to us for mold remediation. Not only was the mold issue resolved, but other renovations that we wanted for our house were done by J&R. Joe & Roy have an vast network of connections with electricians, plumbers, roofers, AC companies and Hurricane Window suppliers. Each and every company that came to my house was courteous and polite and most of all, cleaned up after their particular job was completed. We have lived in Florida for 3 years now, and whenever we have an issue regarding our house we can count on Joe & Roy and their quick response.

We had a flat roof that was leaking very badly and we could not use the patio. So we had the roof replaced and the patio enclosed with acrylic windows. Here is the good news I had used this company before for a roof repair and had a very good experience so I had them come out for a price for this project. They suggested the acrylic windows and I am so happy we can now use the patio as an additional living space.

    Tim Graboski Roofing Inc
Upon my return to my home on July 18, 2018 from Surgery, I quickly find out my home has been without Air Conditioning. After I had the original HVAC contractor that installed the new HVAC system in September 2017, the HVAC contractor inspected the inside the home for a coil leak and found no leak then the HVAC contractor inspected the attic and found the main HVAC Copper line was punctured by a nail that penetrated the roof into the attic, which resulted in all the Freon leaking out (please see Exhibit 1 that shows the puncture to the A/C Copper line). As a result, the HVAC contractors replaced the damaged Copper line; the compressor run capacitor and refill the HVAC with new Freon at a cost of $750 (please see copy of HVAC contractor invoice). Please see Exhibit 2 that shows the replaced copper line and Exhibit 3 that shows the outside portion of the HVAC system that is visible from the roof and had the employee been paying attention of the location of the outside HVAC system and followed the studs on the roof, the damage would have been totally avoided. Finally, the Roofing contractor never bothered to request access to the attic to view the location of the main A/C Copper line as a precaution to avoid damaging the main A/C line. I attempted to peacefully resolve this issue with the Roofing contractor but the General Manager proceeded to attempt to shovel a bunch of manure down my throat with an indefensible argument that there is exclusion in the contract. Exclusion is not covered when an employee makes a carless mistake and especially when the same roofing contractor installed the original roof back in 1996 time frame without the same incident. Furthermore, there are numerous homeowners in the community that are also in the process of replacing roofs and not one homeowner has experienced this careless issue. I find that this small claims action is a waste of the courts time since it is clearly obvious that the roofing contractors employee was at fault for causing the damage and instead of doing the right thing and covering the repair cost, the roofing contracted wants to shaft the homeowner who is spending $27,000 to replace the roof. Finally, the roofing contractors offer to split the $750 cost is not only an insult to my intelligence but further demonstrates that this Roofing contractors unwillingness to accept responsibility and hide behind a catch all exclusion.

VE Quillen Roofing & Consulting Services Inc
This was a job that was previously done but needed additional repair. We had an appointment for between 1:00 and 3:00, and they arrived at 2:30. They worked through inclement weather and did their job quickly and efficiently.

VE Quillen Roofing & Consulting Services Inc
Based on Angies List revues, we contacted VE Quillen to repair our roof leaks. Everything went well until a portion of the roof started leaking again. We contacted the office, and they gave us a specific date and time for the repair. No one showed up or called. We called again several times, and all of the calls went unanswered. We are still under their warranty! For all the above-mentioned reasons, we are giving VE Quillen an F. We are very disappointed!

    Roof Rite
I had used Roof Rite for some work on my home and they did a great job so I called them to take a look at my father's roof. They responded quickly and set up someone to do an estimate the next day. He came during the window of time that I was given. He went on the roof and told me that he didn't need to do any work, The roof was in good shape and those recommendations weren't appropriate. He even said he would email me a note to show to the buyers indicating this. There were a few chipped tiles that he fixed while he was up there. I got the note the same day free of charge. I certainly will call them again if I need any more work!!
