    Faith Construction Corporation
While the work was ultimately completed and the end product was acceptable, I cannot recommend Faith Construction and would not use them again. This was a small project - installing a wall to create a bedroom, installing a door from the bedroom to the bathroom, rearranging the existing electric to work and then painting everything. I got four estimates from Angie's List contractors and the Faith Construction initial proposal came in as the low bid. However, the bid was not very detailed. They used words or short phrases to describe the tasks (such as "one standard door", "crown moldings", "install electric in wall", "add electrical switches".) rather than using complete sentences. I reviewed the bid and questioned several of the items on it. They were going to put in a standard door when all other doors in the are were 8 ft doors. They were going to remove a ceiling fan when I had instructed them to move a fan that was placed where the new wall was going and to install a new fan that I would provide. When I pointed this out, they revised their bid by about $600. This was a lot for those corrections but their bid was still a little lower than the second lowest. They also promised to start right away and finish by the end of the week. I was going out of town for an extended period the following week so I agreed to have them do the work. The workman were competent. They showed up on time, worked all day, were polite and made a good effort to keep the place clean. However, they required supervision and did several things that were perplexing to me. At the end of the first day, they had installed the new wall with an open door frame and did the demolition on the new door to the bathroom. However, they did not put in a light switch by the door on the new wall. And for the new door to the bathroom, they moved the existing light switch to the corner of the room which would be behind the new door. These things are basic and should not require instruction or supervision. To their credit, they did recognize these mistakes and went about fixing the problem. However, then they realized that one of the light switches controlled lights to the both the bedroom and the living room (previously one room). I had pointed out this issue to Faith and all the other contractors but Faith claimed to be unaware of it. They insisted that this was not in their proposal and that I would have to pay for an electrician to come and do the work. At this point, I was ready to toss them out. However, they are almost done and I am going out of town so what am I going to do? If I had the time to hire individual contractors to do this, I would have done that in the first place. You hire a general contractor to take care of everything so you don't have to. Finally, the rooms had crown molding. Their estimate listed "crown molding" as something included in the price. What they did was use some of the crown molding from the bedroom to the living room and remove the remaining crown molding from the bedroom. While this was OK, it was not clearly specified in the proposal and other contractors had priced in complete crown molding for both rooms. I was out of town by this point and tired of arguing with them In the end, other contractors would have been less expensive and required less supervision. If you have a small project, you are better off hiring individual workman. If you have a bigger project, you are better off using someone else from Angie's List or elsewhere.

    J & R Restoration Services Inc
My husband and I moved to Florida in 2015. The house that we purchased had a mold issue and J&R Restoration was recommended to us for mold remediation. Not only was the mold issue resolved, but other renovations that we wanted for our house were done by J&R. Joe & Roy have an vast network of connections with electricians, plumbers, roofers, AC companies and Hurricane Window suppliers. Each and every company that came to my house was courteous and polite and most of all, cleaned up after their particular job was completed. We have lived in Florida for 3 years now, and whenever we have an issue regarding our house we can count on Joe & Roy and their quick response.

Jacksons Custom Builders & Construction Inc
From a thoughtful design stage to a flawless installation, Jackson Custom Builders demonstrated that they were highly proficient across a variety of important skills. We totally remodeled our kitchen and two full bathrooms, including a custom double vanity and we could not be more pleased with the results. The interior was completely painted as well and 7 inch molding was added. In a large project such as ours, adjustments to our plan needed to be made along the way. They provided great suggestions and the modifications were deftly handled. We found all the Jackson crew to be polite, personable and professional. They went about their business efficiently and were respectful of our home at all times. We would highly recommend them for any home construction project, large or small.

    Santos & Sons Services Inc.
Derick & his father Rick did a beautiful job in the kitchen. The cabinets are beautiful as well as the granite counter & back splash. Their workmanship is quality. Derick does great work. He is a jack of all trades. He basically can do anything related to construction including plumbing & electrical work. He is also an excellent spackler & caulker. They clean up when done each day. On top of that he & his father are a pleasure to work with. I must say Jairo the granite fabricator they use is also a very talented guy & pleasure to work with. He is with Brazil Stone. In addition to the kitchen work they installed 4 high hats in the kitchen & installed an extended electrical line in my main bath along with boxes so that I could have 2 light fixtures. He also installed a box & light fixture in my 2nd bath. I would highly recommend Derick & Rick to do any necessary work. I attached some before & after photos. The kitchen is 90% complete as I write. Plumbing needs to be hooked up & wall opening that was made larger has to be finished off. I will upload more pix when 100% complete.

    Signature Restorations
A friend recommended we work with this company. The owner came to our home in the evening after a major storm had passed. We could not tell where the water was coming from but he quickly identified the water coming through the window frame due to the roof leak. Our entire living room baseboards and walls were affected by the water. They set up machines in our living room to draw out the water from the walls and baseboards. This definitely helped to mitigate any damage from mold. We could feel the moisture in the drywall and baseboards in the beginning but it improved dramatically with these machines. The owner coordinated all of the insurance claim work and kept us informed throughout the process. He also oversaw all of the repair work ensuring the completed work was perfect. Andy is trustworthy, conscientious and I always felt comfortable having him in my home to supervise the project when I was not there. He is a true professional and gave us peace and confidence throughout this ordeal. I would definitely call him again if I ever need this kind of help. I highly recommend his company.

    Black Gold Contractors
Like most people - we were concerned about finding a quality contractor. We needed a (very visible) wall repaired. It required someone with great skills! Rod was able to match the (knockdown) texture and paint perfectly! I was amazed! They took great care to - minimize collateral damage / mess --> always a good sign. I would say - They treated our house - as if it was their own. Very courteous and punctual. I'm already sharing Black Gold's number with my neighbors. We plan to use Black Gold for many future projects!

It went very well. The work took a little longer than originally estimated and scheduling was a bit of a challenge, but they were super friendly and communicative. The work itself seems to have been done as quickly as possibly and effectively.
